I just moved back to idaho from Los Angeles County. Lancaster, to be exact. I live in Nampa, and people tell me I live in the hood. Makes me giggle. People here have no idea what the ghetto is. Stop trying to be something you aint. Idaho is a beautiful place to live.
Oh I know what you mean! When I was a truck driver, I would go through Palmdale and Lancaster all the time! I'm sure there's some good people there... bless their hearts. For sure, Nampa is a great place to be!
Caldwell is a great town! So much good stuff going on there. I do wish they hadn't put in parking meters. We have a chalk guy in Nampa and that works just fine.
@Leny1777 hi Leny! We are excited to answer your questions about Idaho and the moving process and help you learn what housing is like here! Reach out and Mareen and I will be happy to get started helping: talk or text 208-860-2004 or email info@treasurevalleydave.com Can't wait to hear from ya!😁
Dave , Caldwell has a super cute downtown and there is lots of things to see and do. As you know our son bought his first home in Caldwell with your help and we come out to visit a few times a year. I still live in Ca and there are lots of city's that are Way worse than anything I have seen in Idaho. Ignore the haters Caldwell is a great place to live!
You are so right!! Except I'm not real happy with Caldwell putting in parking meters downtown. The money they have to pay for the meter-maids will likely cost more than the meters will collect. I'm not sold... and that's where the City falls short. They should have told us why it's needed. But other than that... it's a great place to live! (See... there's nothing else to complain about with Caldwell than the parking meters. I guess Caldwell is lookin' pretty good!)
I have lived in and around Caldwell since 1956 Caldwell is a great place to live. It has a great history and a low crime rate. Canyon County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state. Has Lake Lowell for water skiing, swimming and fishing as well as the snake river that has everything from largemouth bass to huge sturgeon and the Boise River that has a large Varity of fish... It also not far from snow skiing. Caldwell is home to the College of Idaho a private four-year college and TVCC a two-year college. plus, Caldwell is close to Boise State University. The Northwest Nazarene four-year college is in Nampa Idaho right next to Caldwell. It is surrounded with farming and grows 97% of the nation's sweetcorn seed.
Caldwell is a great place to live and to visit. Just be careful for the new parking meters downtown. I've read they are difficult to use and downtown business are suffering from a loss of business. I sure hope politicians don't screw up Caldwell!
Actually, I think Caldwell is nicer than Nampa! Maybe it depends on what part you are in, but I am very happy living here! I think in another 5 years, the Indian Creek area is really going to be hopping! Hopefully not too wild, though 😅
No doubt... Caldwell is pretty darn nice! (I still like Nampa too!!) The Indian Creek plaza is really a sweet thing... nice and safe and family-friendly fun! No, I don't think it's going to get too wild... we'll be just fine!
Quit making people move to whole area!! Our crime is up, graffiti vandalism rude kids in packs and rude non Idahoians living here. I traveled lived many states. Every EVERY Nice place I had the joy to live in once word was out about it money hungry realitors developers brought in people who ruined their states and instead of just going with the local flow to get along keep the area nice trouble free. Nope these new arrivals had to change our way of life for the worse. Stop coming here stay in your state and fight to fix it. Locust feeding in our pastures just to turn into wastland and go locust in others nice pastures.
Hi Adam! It's a great place... hope you get to check it out again soon! Sorry, not doing a giveaway like last year... but that is a fun idea! What I can do is take you out to lunch... maybe over in downtown Caldwell!! Now that would be FUN!!
I love my Town. Thanks for the video i pray it stays small.
I think it will always have that small town feel 😊
Caldwell is awesome!

A person on a cycle ooh! Scary!
Ohhhh yeah!!
That antique bow truss bridge is worth the price of admission alone.
As they say on late-night TV... "but wait, there's more!!" Just about 150 feet to the north is ANOTHER bridge just like this one!!

I think whoever wrote that article about Caldwell being awful must be one of those fools pretending it's terrible so they can keep it to themselves!😂
Very well could be. That's the only thing that makes sense!
We have traffic NOW ! STAY IN CALI.
Don't forget all that construction giving us better roads messing up traffic too!
