I lived in those apartments! you brought back some good memories!
It's a good area! Like those city walking paths too! Thanks for watching!!
Dave Dave Dave, SMH, Idaho is far too red to be "Ghetto". You have to visit a blue State if you want to find Ghetto.
That is soooo true! "Idaho is ghetto. Idaho has too much traffic. Idaho doesn't even have electricity." Just more internet fake-news!
A real estate agent won't tell ya if it's a getto!
Maybe not... but a friend would!
@TreasureValleyDave Says the real estate agent!
@@Soulcritic and a friend... a friend who's lived in CA (and in a third-world country) and knows that Idaho has no ghettos!
@TreasureValleyDave Funny you're not my friend! Besides ghetto is a subjective term, your idea of a ghetto & another's, might be 2 different things! But I trust real estate agents, like used car salesmen!
@@Soulcritic I hear ya... and that seems to be an under-appreciated problem nowadays; words can mean whatever one person wants them to mean without any consideration of their traditional definition. Ghetto... friend... any word can have a fluid meaning. You'll never believe it... I used to sell used cars!!
I heard Idaho is full of White Supremacist
Awesome place to live !
And awesome people!!!
Your in IdAho, you want to see ghetto, fly over but don't land in communist California.
Exactly 💯
The Ice Cream Potato was awesome.
@timg7939 I'm worried to try it!! I'd be like Hunter with crack!
@@TreasureValleyDave I think the finger steaks are even more addictive.
@@timg7939 Ohhhh they are pretty good!! Given a choice, I'll go with gizzards!
Treasure Valley Dave.. the new main stream media!!.. fingers crossed :)
@davedave8608 🤣🤣🤣 that would be something 🤔 😁
Winco❤
Exactly 💯
Oh Dave can't tell you the stupidity I keep seeing everyday online! I get comments from ridiculous people just insulting and complaining that's it! no valid arguments nor explanation! I think some of these people just hallucinate stuff? Or maybe they forgot to take their shrink prescribed medication.
I think you may be right, Jimmy!!
Maybe everyone has different perspectives? Funny thing happened to me . I had a friend email me very concerned they were talking to a person who worked for the sheriffs department where I use to live they had asked about me and my friend said she moved to Nampa … the response was “OMG why they have a huge gang problem and high crime rate “ so now I guess I am newly relocated to a ghetto with high crime and gangs …funny I have only run into nice people and so far I feel very safe and I am happy … 😊
Funny how that worked out 🤩
🤣🤣🤣 I guess there are some Idahoans who have never been outside of Idaho 😁
I think you are absolutely right!!
Some of it is ghetto, esoecially the old trailer parks and some of Northside around the railroad tracks. But Walmart? Lol!😂
I've also heard people say that Nampa has bad smells from food processing factories. Every community in the TV has something to offer. It's just a matter of your lifestyle and what you can afford. When we were there looking around a while back, Nampa didn't appeal to us, but it's definitely not a bad place. There were no bad smells, and it didn't feel like a "ghetto" when we were there. I would encourage people looking to buy a home in the TV to consider Nampa and its unique benefits like affordability. 👍👍👍
It's definitely important to come here in person and check out all the different communities! It's a pretty regular occurrence where Mareen and I take fact-finders around the valley (and grab lunch)... just to help out.
@@TreasureValleyDave When we were there, we didn't meet with realtors. Our time was very limited. We just focused on touring around on our own. We were trying to get a feel for the TV and see if it was a place we'd like to live. We liked it, so once we get things ready on this end, we'll start looking.
@audiophileman7047 sounds like a great plan😁
@ 👍👍👍
Spent a few days at an Airb&b around the corner from that Walmart. Never got a ghetto feeling. In fact everyone mentioned how nice it was compared to the ones in Cali.
What kind of idiots listen to scumbags like the WEF and other countries you have the best soil and grounds to farm on do not turn liberals
Colorado has become a woke progressive state thanks to the CA and NY transplants.
Check out The Rocky Mountain Heist... ruclips.net/video/cROIofrDXn0/видео.htmlsi=RStcLZ-LuoS6KUeO
Forget liberals, at least you know who they are and remember that neocons are the termites eating the foundation of your house. Idaho is infested with neocon office-holders. Leftists have no power without neocons betraying their voters. Idaho Republican Senators betray our whole country.
Bozeman Jackson and the state of Colorado. Ruined by California liberals. They're locusts.
Eastern, WA did! These people escape from California, move to our FREE conservative cities and towns and start voting for the same shit that destroyed California. Liberal lemmings with zero basic critical thinking skills.
Are you kidding? Idaho is tying to overturn marriage equality thru the extreme court and there are extremely restrictive abortion laws. How many gynes are in Idaho? One? Utah has more of a chance of going liberal.
There was a time when California, Arizona and Colorado looked solidly "conservative"... regarding their state government. Those all changed... and Idaho is just as susceptible as those states. Right or wrong, it only takes a few coordinated people in just the right places to massively change things. We see that playing out on the national stage at the moment... as we did just four years ago.
@ I personally don’t like labels and don’t care about liberal vs conservative. I just want the hate and the chaos and division to stop. I just want to live my life in peace and not have to hear the stupidity coming out of Washington. Most importantly I want my LGBTQ children to be left alone so they can live their lives in peace. Right now Idaho is the state trying to take that away.
I'm with you on not liking labels... but in today's world of "identity politics" labels are thrust upon us. I, like you, just want to be left alone to live my own life🙌
@@TreasureValleyDave They’re thrust upon us because we accept them. I don’t believe in parties either. People vote for idiots just because of the letter after their name and then complain that the government doesn’t work for them. Perhaps you shouldn’t have voted for the person who is in congress to be an internet star and enrich themselves then. People should instead realize their own power. You don’t need a “permission structure” to vote for someone of the other party. That phrase drives me crazy.
@@crazycatmama2098 I don't know if you're a reader or not, but I got a lot from reading Lysander Spooner... he wrote in the mid-1800s. He was talking about the same things as you... thinking outside the box that we're presented with.
I’m selling my residence in Florida and moving to Idaho. Will I have to pay taxes on the capital gains to Idaho even if it’s exempt federally?
Good morning! I don't believe you would. We sold our home in CA and made a lot of money from that... but still exempt as under the limit for a married couple. Idaho didn't care about that at all. We kept every penny from our out-of-state home sale.
@ 🙏
@@FreeStatePatriotTt Now that my coffee has kicked in, I did a little research and found this: Capital gains tax in Idaho... "A typical Idaho homeowner selling their primary residence will not owe federal capital gains taxes." State capital gains taxes in Idaho... "Idaho generally follows the same exclusion rules as the IRS, allowing $250,000 of gain on home sales ($500,000 for married joint filers), if they owned and used the home as their principal residence for two out the thye five years before the sale." Additionally, "In Idaho, any capital gains not subject to exclusions are taxed as ordinary income at 5.75%. However, Idaho real estate held for at least 12 months is eligible for a 60% deduction from state capital gains taxes." listwithclever.com/real-estate-blog/the-ultimate-guide-to-idaho-real-estate-taxes/#capital-gains Of course you're selling in Florida... so I would assume Florida rules would apply... and there's good news there! "When you sell your primary residence in Florida, you won't owe state capital gains tax because Florida has no state income tax." They go on to say that Federal capital gains taxes would apply... presumably after you've reached the exclusion amount. anytimeestimate.com/florida-capital-gains-tax-guide/ Remember too that the "gain" you make is what you sold the property for minus your basis (what you paid for it) and other qualifying things, like the cost of selling and some improvement costs. Of course, consult your accountant! Sounds like you'll be doing just fine leaving Florida... and down the road when you sell your Idaho home (to move up or to downsize or whatever). Speaking of moving to Idaho, let me and Mareen know how we can help! We'd be happy to fill in some of the data points in your plan and set up a home search for you. When you get here in person, we'll take you around the Treasure Valley to make sure you find the best area for you to move to. Might also get a nice lunch!! All the best!!
@@TreasureValleyDave excellent! Thanks for your time!
@@FreeStatePatriotTt Always glad to help!!!
When we lived in twin falls, you have Fred Meyers, Walmart, WinCo, Sam's club, Costco, Walgreens, rite aid and a ton more. Here in Oklahoma the closest WinCo is Tulsa. Other than that you have harps and Walmart. There's fewer options out here than Idaho by far
Ohhhh noooo! It's like you guys are living in the wilderness! We certainly love our WinCo (2 just in Nampa!)! Fred Meyers is nice... but my wife typically just buys clothes there. Did you guys have a Ridley's in Twin? Those are pretty nice too. They have a new one in Kuna and in Star. Not to mention the farmer's markets too! Isaac... now I'm getting hungry!!😁
@TreasureValleyDave Huron Oklahoma. We live close to the Kansas Missouri border. The closest WinCo is almost 2 hours when I lived in California or even twin falls. Winco is right down the road. I took it for granted. Now we miss it like crazy
@@TreasureValleyDave no, we do not have a Ridley's
@@isaacsmith1710 Yikes! You guys might have to move back to Idaho!! I have friends in Oklahoma... well, until they moved recently. They lived there for about 4 years and just didn't really care for the weather. I understand that... coming originally from Nebraska. Hang in there... winter is almost over!
@@isaacsmith1710 I know exactly what you mean!! We had a nice Winco in Vacaville, CA. We left there in 2013. My friend who still lives there says he can only go to Winco after 2am. There are so many "homeless" and bad guys hanging around until about that time. Such a sad situation.
we need one in Kingman AZ
I just heard that Winco is building a new story between Kuna and Meridian. That will be fantastic! Nampa has 2 Wincos... so one is always close. I think an option for you, Charles, is you might have to move to Kuna, Meridian or Nampa!! We've helped many of your neighbors get moved up here and they are happy they did!
Our family is preparing to relocate to the Boise area, we simply cannot stand Washington State anymore... Any advice?
Heck yeah! Get out of Washington!! We've recently helped a great couple make the move from the Seattle area... and they really love it here! The first step; make sure you want to move and that you can move (some people can't because of family obligations or work, etc.). The second step; put together your plan. That's where Mareen and I come is... we will help fill in the information on your plan. The third step; take action! Typically a great place to start is to have a Zoom meeting with me and Mareen. We can start answering your questions and find out what things you want in your new life! We both came from CA and know how much a difference moving to Idaho makes... on so many levels. Give us a call, text or email and let's get started! 208-860-2004 and Info@TreasureValleyDave.com
@@TreasureValleyDave My wife is finishing up her post graduate work in June of this year and then we are off to Idaho! One day we began to wonder why we would live in a state that hates us 🤔Cannot get out of Washington soon enough. She is currently Appling for jobs as a public/charter school principal and we are wondering where we should buy a home in the Boise area. We have been told not to live South of the freeway because of the two-way roads which produce unbearable traffic...
@@drizzt8965 Congrats!! You guys are working your plan! There are some good questions about where to live in the Treasure Valley. One of the biggies could be that your wife would want to be somewhat close to her school. Then again, she may move from one school to another over the years and moving to a central location might be helpful. That could well put you in Meridian somewhere. But maybe you guys want a little bit of land with a shop/studio/outbuilding of some sort. Then you might be looking a little further out; Middleton or Caldwell or Nampa. As an aside, work is progressing nicely on the Hwy 16 project. That's pretty much an interstate-like highway from the Star area south to connecting with I-84. This should take a lot of pressure off of the north/south surface streets making getting around at rush hour much easier. For sure, commute traffic in the morning and again in late afternoon is a pain. It's a big pain on the Idaho scale... because it could slow you down 5 or 10 minutes. For people coming from big metro areas, this is like a walk in the park. Certainly part of the issue is more people but also that so many of the other main roads have construction on them (more infrastructure) which puts more cars on the freeway. That construction will eventually be done and that, too, should help. And that brings us to living south of I-84... and learning how to get around. The thing about the Treasure Valley is that there is almost always several ways to get somewhere. If you live south of the freeway and need to go north (particularly during busy times) on Eagle Rd or Meridian Rd... it will take a while. This has a lot to do with those roads have interchanges with the freeway. Go over a mile and take Locust Grove Rd or Cloverdale Rd or even Five Mile Rd or Maple Grove Rd (which to not intersect the freeway) and traffic is sooo much less and you'll get from the south to the north pretty quick. It won't take you guys long to start to figure out the best ways to get somewhere depending on the time of day. One thing that will really help is when you guys come for your fact-finding trip. You'll get to learn the vibe of the different communities within the Treasure Valley. Typically what Mareen and I do is drive around the valley with you, looking at a house or two, but more focused on finding out what areas feel like home to you. That's hugely important. Be sure to let us know when you're coming! We might even stop by some place for lunch!! (That's the best part!)
@@TreasureValleyDave Hey thanks for all of the info and your time. Much to consider here... All I really know at this point is that we want out of the once great state of Washington!
@@drizzt8965 Absolutely!! Yes, that's the MAIN thing right there... make the ESCAPE!!
yes it absolutely can.. stay vigilant Idaho
Amen to that!!
When will they vote mayor lauren mclean out--she seems to be more interested in homeless, illegals and global warming not tax payers? I worry about her California values=high taxes and a burned-up state
Exactly! She's politically savvy and has built a money machine to keep her in office. Conservatives need a top-notch candidate to beat her out. Oh, she's from Boston. Certainly her Marxism fits with California!
I cannot wait until I move out of Idaho. This is too much
Exactly! I don't know how you're putting up with it there. It was too crazy back in 2013 when we left. In one day, life became sooo much better!
Idaho is turning into California #2. Wildfires, the homeless crisis, traffic and unfoldable housing in Idaho. There is nothing we can do about it.
Talk with your Idaho representative. If they are not fighting back against these problems, then you need different, more accountable, people in office. Your voice matters!
Good job Dave, I travel to Anchorage, Alaska quite often and there are homeless people all over the place. I don't know how Idaho is doing it, but keep it up. Over the last 25 years, I've seen Spokane, Washington become a dumpster fire, Anchorage (of all places) we now call Los Anchorage because of all the shootings and homeless. What's the common denominator? Democrat politicians.
You are so accurate on that, Alan! Liberalism/Marxism/Communism... it's all the same with the same result; breaking down every aspect of good societies. What makes Idaho different is that the people won't stand for it and they elect representatives who who stand for it either. Welcome to Idaho... welcome back to America!
No. It's okay stay there
Yes, I'm sure there's lots of businesses they have in CA that just wouldn't go over all that well here.
I used to drive through there on Hwy 95 to New Meadows. I really like that pretty blue dollhouse.
That is a cute little house... and the price is right too!! Close enough to McDonalds that you'd never have to cook at home again!😁
@TreasureValleyDave Unless you're like me and only healthy home cooked food will do.
@@moonfire41 actually, that's very true. I did go into the Weiser McDonalds... to use the facilities (that's what happens when you get older). I didn't buy anything to eat... wife got an iced tea (no sugar). That was the first time in a fast-food place in a couple of years. I'd rather have that non-GMO salad and a big grass-fed piece of meat!
bless your hearts Weiser :)
Weiser is great 🎉
really?! We do not want to become CA.
exactly!! And every election we have had here in the past... oh, 10 years or so... has taken Idaho further away from being anything like California! I wonder who has made that happen? Could be ex-Californians voting to make sure Idaho doesn't become California!
I wonder if there are also any Portland Or business owners moving there after closing due to crime. Ive never seen the fires in LA get so widespread and out of control! Ive been watching to see if they hit our old house in La Crescenta. So far so good. I lived there for 3 years from 1988 to 1990 before it got remodeled. Id hate to see all those memories go up in smoke!
I know one lady and her husband who moved their business from Portland to Nampa. I know others (some are clients) who escaped Portland for those same reason. The are all very happy to be here!
Wrong State! OR, CA, WA, ETC.
You are SOOOO right!!
all my life, I run into people who criticize something, but they have no better alternatives to refer to. Ok Boise has some homeless people, but just a few rare encounters here and there. What city can you find that is immune to homelessness? I've seen homeless people in Rapid City + Sioux Falls, South Dakota, of all places huh! And you ask those ranters, Ok so what solution do you propose? and they have nothing to propose! Looks like they just enjoy the complaining, otherwise they get bored.
"Never let a good crisis go to waste"... says every Marxist. And if there isn't a crisis, they'll just have to make one. Why? Because that's the most efficient way to hold power over us. The ranters will never give a logical answer but they will call you names for pointing that out. We see that playing out right now with the people in authority that failed the LA residents.
Possibly Nampa's homeless "problem" is that they don't have ENOUGH homeless like you find in the deep "blue" regions of California, Oregon and Washington - just to name three.
Good point 👉. Never let a crisis go to waste... said every Marxist.
I'd me more concerned with the all the illegal immigrants that the Governor flew in at the Boise Airport & Spokane for the last 4 yrs. When my college kid was moving from BSU dorm to a house, there was a guy (Haitian or ?) who urinated in their alley, and bathed in the little waterway/wash on their street. He did not speak English as we tried to talk to him. Then we saw some other sketchy folks that didn't speak English.
Yup... Idaho is a target... flip us red to blue by changing our demographics. The Boise mayor, Lauren McLean, has been "a strong advocate for welcoming immigrants and refugees" (from Google)... and in 2019, Boise became a Certified Welcoming city. And don't forget Obama flying in Muslim refugees to Twin Falls a few years ago. If I recall right, "law enforcement" there was in the Obama camp (ideologically? pay-offs?) and covered up the crimes caused by the refugees (to include the sexual assault of a young girl). "They" really want Idaho to flip blue... but patriotic Idahoans stand firm and fight back.
I don't know where somebody got that idea! Boise in some parts but not Nampa.
Exactly! Fake news? Internet trolling? Some ex-Californian that doesn't want any more Californians here? Hard to tell.

Sadly, too many Americans give the Dems & RINO's the benefit of the doubt regarding their actions. Hopefully Idaho will retain its conservative principles in a sea of Washington/California/Oregon insanity. Thanks for being an informed, professional and friendly real estate agent, Treasure Valley Dave!
Thanks, Stephen! I followed my wife to the Canyon County Republican Womens monthly lunch and meeting (it was the lunch that got me!). There are a lot of folks on fire to keep Idaho conservative... no doubt! Thanks, too, for your kind words! I figure, to quote our Canadian friend, Red Green, "we're all in this together". (Also he said, "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." I fall more into the "handy" category... but that's okay too!!)
Ha ha …this was great commentary on a snobbery video. Great job Dave!
Thanks!!!
So glad I’m moving out of California lived here for 52 years Newson was planted there in my opinion Let Freedom Ring🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Nora! CA used to be nice... then okay... now it is just time for good folks to go!! I hope you're moving to Idaho!
@ yes moving to Easter Idaho Pocatello area 😊
@@Nora_Anderson Nice!! Not too far from where Napoleon Dynamite was filmed! There's some good antique stores in Pokey too! It does get a little cold in the winter... but a nice place!
GANGS IN CALDWELL, ID: Westside Locos 13 East Side Longos VCL/Carrio Vamos Locos Rumors of Tren de Aragua
Yes... that's true. I was just reading Canyon County's gang handbook. www.canyoncounty.id.gov/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Gang-Awareness-Handbook-version-34-11-12-1.pdf
California just increased disability and family medical leave to 90% of your pay, so maybe people in Idaho want to drive back.
Interesting. I wonder who is going to pay for that? Possibly higher payroll taxes? It's great for people in the front of the line. Thanks for sharing!
Don't share it with your liberal friends! 😂Just earned a new subscriber here! My kid is up there for college, and we love it! Trying to escape to ID with my patriotic red votes! We will see how the housing market goes.
Thanks!! I wonder if your kid will stay up here after graduation? There are a lot of opportunities here!!
"don't share it with your liberal friends..." earned a like. lol
That's fantastic!! Thanks!!😁
Happy New Year, Dave! Man, when you said Banana Belt, I thought you were going to say that you guys grow bananas there. 🤣 We're really hoping to be there for good in 2025. We have a few more things to wrap up out here. I've bought one of those really warm waterproof coats for the winters there, so either way we'll be warm and loving it. 👍👍👍
Happy New Year, AM!! That's funny! I think that coat will be overkill... at least here in the valley. But they will be good for when you guys go play in the snow in the mountains!! Can't wait to get you guys home!
@@TreasureValleyDave Thanks, Dave! 👍👍👍
As a renter who moved here 5 months ago with a $3-4k rent budget please avoid renting from commercial company based landlords. This included townhomes and houses and I would love to give names specifically but my husband and I have had to sign an NDA. New homes and townhomes are to avoided at all costs. We ended up finding a private owner renting a beautiful home in Kuna after experiencing the nightmare of Meridian. Stay away from Ustick at all costs! It resembles mad max with 12-14 year old boys playing motocross right outside your home and I wish I was referring to children and not the boy men that have been attracted to the free living lifestyle of Idaho. Would avoid the peanut butter smelling part of Nampa as it is overrun with Hispanics that the commercial home/townhome builders are using for cheap labor on and around Meridian up to Boise.
That's a really good point about renting! I work with a couple of small property management companies who manage for individual owners. They can often be helpful when looking for a nice place to rent.
