Yea I was just thinking yesterday that in the next 3-4 years the draft is going to start looking very different. It's gonna be a bunch of the same teams having like 90% of the 1st round picks. I'm starting to think the NBA has a draft pick/draft problem.

Multiple first round picks for. It’s not like when the Celtics had multiple picks and star after star was available and nothing ever happened.
The reason why some teams didn't do a lot at the trade deadline is because of the 1st and 2nd apron restrictions. Philly made trades to get under the 1st Apron and pick up secons rnd picks (Housed was literally traded for nothing. The Pistons just absorbed his contract and got a second pick for doing it). The Lakers are 1 million away from the 1st Apron. Taking on big salaries for a team that isn't a contender wasn't going to happen. So many of the non trades were more financial decisions...

Gafford and PJ could not have been more impactful in a game vs a quality opponent in a debut. Imagine them with a practice or two. Imagine Dallas with Lively and Exum returning healthy and motivated. I think this deserves its own video. How to stick both your feet in your mouth simultaneously.

As a Mavs fan I was stunned by him saying Mavs were losers with their trades.
PJ and Gafford were exactly what Mavs had been needing for ages. And it is a move that might turn them into a contender given they stay healthy.
Next offseason they will go all in for a defensive wing and then the team will be amazing.
They have a couple of easily tradable contracts and will have some draft picks to play with.

This is a dude who regressed defensively, has a bad attitude, and has basically reached his celling. It shows a lot that the Hawks are only able to get 1 first round pick in a trade for him after getting him last year for 3 first round picks

Yes. Murray signed what is an extremely team friendly deal when he couldhave gottenway more if he waited. Saying his contract is a problem is absurd. He's exaggerating the contract to try to save face on his terrible prediction/analysis.

Idk if the trade deadline will never be the same now because of contracts. Unless there is certainty that a player of perennial all star/ superstar caliber status wants out. Then big trades cause teams will risk money into those contracts

However what is not *hilarious* is the math of stating Murray is going to make 40 mil per year when he signed an extension for 4yrs/114mil.
