It's hard to drive on 610-S and not shake your head in sadness. If they ever tear down the 'Dome, that will be all my childhood summer memories taken away. Every summer from as far back as I can remember... Astroworld, Waterworld, Astro's game in the 'Dome in one 3-day weekend. When I got older, it turned into season passes..wish I would have kept up with them better.
I loved going there. The awesome concerts that came included with your ticket, and later they included a free admission to Waterworld, which used to cost extra. My friend had a season pass that included a free ticket for a friend every time you used it, so we went a lot since he was a huge nerd, and I was his only friend!(nerds were picked on outcasts in the '80's and had no friends other than there own kind, now there your millionaire bosses!) I will always cherish the memories!
it was honestly the best run six flags, and the cleanest. i went once when i was 7, (i dont live in texas so i couldnt just come back), and i didnt ride anything! and i regret it SO much because i LOVED the park. they need to recreate this theme park.

So sad man. I live in Dallas, but grew up chasing girls at AstroWorld! Such a cool place.

Why did this have to happen? Sigh. The best trip i ever had was there on my school band trip in 95. i STILL can't believe it's gone.:(

I have so many childhood memorys here as I remember my dad taking the whole family. It us ashame big profits made corporate shut it down.
