this was my very first roller coaster ever. I don't remember how old I was, probably around 6 or 7. I vividly remember going through the tunnel and my head doing forward cause I didn't know I needed to keep my head back on the loop. after that, my mom said she held my head back with her arm the rest of the ride. I don't remember it, I probably blacked out tbh. terrified of roller coasters to this day
Man how I miss Astroworld. I only went three times, but I rode Viper each time I went. It became my favorite ride easily. Thanks for posting this video.
I remember when this coaster first opened at Six Flags St. Louis as Jet Scream......we thought we were in the big time because we finally got a coaster that went upside-down.
Prior to it being the "Viper" I used to love this coaster as the "Jet Scream" at Six Flags in St. Louis. It was only there from 81 to 88. I still miss it!
my dad used to take us to astroworld every summer when i was younger. the viper was my first looping roller coaster - i was fascinated lol. im 20 now, and the viper will always hold a special place in my heart HAHAHA. i sure do miss this park
This was my first ever looping coaster when it was called JetScream at Six Flags Over Mid-America, now known as Six Flags St. Louis. It was painted light blue and had no tunnel back then.
This ride should not have been scrapped after Astroworld’s closure. I mean, it was not even 25 years-old. It really should have been moved to another Six Flags park or something.
