      Under processing Isn’t good. Puts too much stress on the ends and actually made me use more heat which made my hair fall out. But definitely stretch the relaxer for months that helped me a lot

      @@rachellmcgrath1184 I can understand using more heat if you like your hair really straight but how would this out more stress on your ends? Serious questions because I plan to ask my stylist to start under processing mine.

    The tip that I had to come to grips with was Tip #10: Get to know your hair (and make a routine). My hair grows at a nice pace and I could never figure out why my hair wasn’t down to my waist. The truth was that I wasn’t doing the things necessary to make that happen. I recently learned that I have to shampoo my hair about every 4 days so it won’t dry out. My hair gets very dry quickly and breaks off in little pieces. Another thing I discovered recently is that cream conditioners make my hair fall out in clumps during the shampoo process. I now use a spray-on, leave-in conditioner and that solved my problem. I roller set my hair and dry on low heat and then apply a generous amount of jojoba oil. That’s it. I’ve been doing this since the middle of October 2020 and the difference is night and day! Oh, I also stretch my relaxer, which I’ve always done. I get them every 4 months with a trim and just recently my stylist hasn’t left the relaxer on very long and my hair is straightened sufficiently. I can’t wait to see where my hair is a year from now. Right now it’s at shoulder length. Great video!!!

    I never go to a hair dresser. My hair only started to grow when I started taking care of my hair myself. My hair grew halfway down my back when I stopped going to hair dressers over 30 years ago. I do everything you said except I do my own hair. I trim my hair every 6 weeks, and touch up my hair every 12 weeks. The more you trim the faster your hair grows.

Right before the pandemic hit i cut my hair too my cheeks. I just did a length check and I'm past my shoulders. I'm working on it i need a trim 😩 I gotta learn cause I can't go to the hair salon.

    U are the third person this morning i have watch & u all have been given me so excellent points!. But u have been very much been clear, giving tips, 1 after ANOTHER with out a whole lot of nothing in talking dragging out the video!. I have just subbie to u!. U are so right go & see how a true STYLIST & 1 who does know what they are about! That is so true with what u have said. I wish i had seen your video a month ago! As i went to a new salon in my neighborhood & trust that this person knew what she was about! Hugh Mistake! I had back LENGHT hair 4c's natural hair no chemicals in 12 years & went in to get a silk press!. She literally torn out my hair! Used a device i was not aware of a brush with lights with heat & brush my wet hair from the ROOTS! I lie not. I did ask her why shewas doing it this WAY& she became offended by my question. I should have left then hair wet & all. At least i STILL would have long even hair all over my HEAD still. Also she ask me to shave my kitchen i had not hear of that before! Fool i eas i let her! A mess. Also when she said my hair was thick, long, & i had a lot of hair i should have left then!. Also she face me from the mirror so i could not see what see was doing& how much of my hair was being pull out from the ROOTS!. Masses of my NATURAL BEAUTIFUL HAIR lay in the floor when she was done! My girlfriends are in stun disbelief of what she did & want me to confront her on her unprofessional way in which she not only HANDLE my hair but destroyed natural 4 c's hair! How does my hair now break off after going to her with no Chemicals!. The heat she use 9n this heat brush was at the max. 450. I smell something burning. & i said nothing!. I just want someone to do my hair after 12 years of scarfs, braids, etc. My girlfriends have said the reason my natural hair is breaking off is the hair was burn & DEAD. 12 years for what to have a stylist DESTROY it . all i want to know is why when i trust her & she said she was able to do my hair. I od over $125.00 & my friends could not believe it was a silk press. Never use a flat Iron, stove . plus also did not use her own hair care products in her salon. But use cheap waltmart stuff. I lie not. So yes go see how a stylist does a client hair before u let her on your head of hair. Hard lesson to learn. Grace to all. gh. Peace

    Sis, i follows a lot of these tips before i went natural. No 3x heat at the saloon (dryer, blow dryer, and flat iron!?! Why!), stretch the relaxer... only leave it on for 5 minutes tops, LOW heat if flat ironing! I swear i only used mine on a 2 and it went to 20. Yup. My hair was growwwwwwing. I think I’m going back natural this winter. Healthy relaxed hair can be achieved!

    Excellent tips, I love this video, the under relaxing tip makes complete sense and the suggestion of not heating hair appliances to their max temp of 450 is an awesome suggestion. Have you tried trimming your hair yourself? I just got my relaxer and I didn’t get a trim . Is it ok to wait it out to my next relaxer date ?...which is January

    • @LuvSharonPratt
      @LuvSharonPratt  4 года назад +2

      Jennifer Enema Yes I've trimmed my hair before. I hate raggedy see through ends so I've been known to impulsively cut my own hair even though I don't know how to 🤦🏾‍♀️ I can't tell you how to trim your own hair.
      It just depends on the state of your hair. You might not need a trim, but if you do the sooner the better for a trim 😘

    • @LuvSharonPratt
      @LuvSharonPratt  3 года назад +1

      Zaditu Kidd Everyone is different. It depends on your hair. Slowly introduce rice water into your regimen maybe 1x a month and see how your hair responds. Then go from there. Check out my video about protein and moisture ruclips.net/video/8wMXNQsiV2Y/видео.html. It will answer your questions

    Hi ! Came for some tips... old school roller set is the best tip. For me I’m protein sensitive I find that if I use protein treatments I tend to have breakage in the text moths following this was true when I was relaxed, natural and used rice water and now that I’ve transitioned back I found this to be true . The issue I’m having is that naturally my hair doesn’t retain moisture. I don’t know how to do my I own hair and I’m into the in and trending hair styles but I want to grow my hair. I don’t my hair doesn’ like wigs, and sew ins only broads but the new braid styles require a lot of products which drys my hair and causes set back. Are there some protective styles you can refined for hair that’s less that the desired length that you can moisturized daily ?

      Anita Flores Hi Danielle! You can wear a regular plastic cap, wrap a towel over the plastic cap, wear for 30 mins or so and let your body heat do the work. Also you can buy the condition caps that look like foil. Make sure you subscribe to my channel for more tips and tricks! Thanks!💖
