All I wanted was a solid review of this motherboard, thoroughly impressed with the subtle humor and overall quality throughout this video. Looks like I found a new channel to watch regularly! 😀
I’m glad I used this motherboard. I wanted WiFi so no cable required to run to room. It works excellent. It also has Bluetooth that I didn’t even realize it had. My Samsung Pro that is supposed to read 7,000 mb/second using Samsung Magician benchmarks at 6,555 mb/second. Very quick copying files and Windows update done in minutes.
I'm an organized person, but I'm in the middle of a build and I could not find a screw I needed for an M.2 slot, I was going nuts, but because your vid is so thorough I was able to verify that the bag of screws that I accidentally grouped with my case parts was actually from my motherboard. This vid saved my bacon, thanks!
Test crosshair hero 6 with zen 2 and then say that again. If I see asus enginerds in real life, some heads are going to roll. Installing a 3600 doesnt work, and installing my 1700 after that fucked up my 2nd ram channel. Fuck asus. :)
Thank you so much for explaining all the connectors. I just ordered this board for my 1st build and was so nervous about connecting everything where its supposed to go. I am feeling so much more confident now,
All in all, this is a good motherboard, especially for its initial low prices. Has everything I needed for the last 3 years. Upgraded to a PCIe 4.0 NVME and had no issues. Upgraded my video card, no issues. But, I recently tried to upgrade my memory and the Team Extreem 3600MHz\CL14 2x16MB kit did not work. It was unstable. Very disappointing and when I looked up the memory supported, it was not listed. I bought an X570 board so I would not have these issues. Shame on you ASUS.
I've still got the B350 TUF board, solid bit of kit and managed to overclock my Ryzen 2600 no problem. Apparently it works great with the 3700x as well.

Good one Elric! Looking to upgrade later this year into next year to a Ryzen 3 system with hopefully by then cheaper X5700 video card. This mobo will be the one I would seriously consider. Gotta stick with ASUS as my current one has proven to be durable to the vagaries of my service utility.

Does this Motherboard work with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700x and a GTX 1660 Ti??
yes
Just now got into pc gaming and I have this. But I can see it’s very old. Is this good enough still or do I need to upgrade ?
best overall mid-range motherboard for $199 USD
Yup
@Daniel Griffith
Actually, you don't always need to OC. Most people actually never need to... It's just an enthusiasm thing.
New to PC building...will this motherboard support the Radeon 5700 xt Red Devil? It's not on the qvl, but people have told me that it will....is this true?
My Asus X570 ROG Strix motherboard with 2 NVMe drives takes 40 seconds before it starts loading Windows! Don't know if this is common with Ryzen boards. Thinking of buying this board for my Music PC as just setting XMP on my Intel board (also Asus) glitches out the external sound card (long story)
If looking to pair this motherboard with a EVGA 650W G3 psu. Pc parts picker is giving me a warning that the motherboard has a 4 pin connector needed for extra 12V of power and that this psu doesn’t have it... Is this a problem for this pairing?
If anyone’s watching and considering this bosrd. If you can find it for 150 it’s a steal!
The dog lapping sounds were hilarious, thanks for that unexpected gag
This board does support nvidia cards?? Seen many builds with Nvidia cards so I'm confused
I tried to boot this mobo with a 1080FTW and I kept getting to VGA white error when I had the GPU connected to the monitor via display port. However, when I connected the GPU to the monitor via HDMI it booted. Is this normal? And. once updated should I be able to use the display port?
Can you help me out I have that exact motherboard.
I have one slot filled with the m.2.
I want to put an m.2 in the other one which is real close to the heat sink.
Will I have to remove the heat sink in order to get to the cover to install that m.2 ?
Thank you.
Keith
you can put one in the slot above the GPU and also remove the grey and black heatsink near the bottom of the board with two screws seen at 5:29 you can place a second one under there ( i recommend having the main one under the heatsink)
@@AntiMaxer
Ok
Thanks
@@KTHKUHNKK no problem any questions just ask!
@@AntiMaxer
I appreciate your reply on the m.2 and heatsink question I had.
I have not put my two terabyte m.2 in yet but when I do I will keep you posted how things are going.
I just want to transfer over my operating system in a few programs I have to the
2 terabyte m.2
Thanks again

Does it have a usb 3.0 header to connect my case to?
Did yours blue screen during the windows installation also, and need the Wi-Fi driver downloaded and installed before installation....
@Jimmy S hey, that's a good way to do it.
I ended up downloading the driver first and installing during the OS installation.
But still, it's my first AMD system since athlon 64, and hilariously I've never had an issue like this since then.
It was a big "welcome back to AMD"
@Jimmy S how much did the entire new build cost you?
@Jimmy S do you have a pcpartpicker link?
@Jimmy S add in the cost of the old parts, how much did the entire PC cost you?
@Jimmy S Do you do alot of rendering? or whats your workflow like on this system?
Getting this board for my 3600x and 2070 super. From all the stories seems I've made a good choice
Dev C C have u ran into any ram reading issues
@@xampleman3663 that board was sold out so ended up getting the mail b450 ac carbon pro . With cl 16 3200 Corsair rgb pro.
So if you don't want an optical drive what good is the cd
Making a Certificate of Reliability for relationships could be a funny, but interesting idea.
Nice Board. Would have considered this when I bought my Ryzen 7 3700X if it would have been available. Instead did the B450 for around $100.00
