This song is about when Nikki Sixx nearly died and paramedics had to give him a shot of Adrenaline. They literally "kickstarted" his heart. This song was also used in a commercial for dodge.

Kels reaction to mick's talk box was priceless. Until then she seemed to just kinda like this song. One she saw that it look like she loved the song from then on out.👏👏

Motley Crue always delivered, they rocked the house 🤘💯 Some of the best memories of being an eighties rock girl with my peeps partying at their concerts!!!
I listened to them since their 2nd album... saw a picture of them in a magazine .... up and coming ... fell in lust with Vince at first sight... Been following them ever since. Happily went to see Vince when he played the Surf a few years back. Took both my kids... was awesome!
Other great Motley Crue songs: "Primal Scream" just cause it has so much stomp and swagger to it. Also really hard to sit still because that swampy groove will make you want to dance. "Looks That Kill" from their 80s hair metal heyday. "Live Wire". Another great adrenaline fueled high energy song like "Kick Start My Heart". And one of my very favorite Motley Crue songs, "Hooligans Holiday", comes from their criminally underrated eponymous album featuring their sadly too-short-lived collaboration with momentary new lead singer John Corabi. Vince Neil quit Motley Crue to pursue a solo career, and John brought in not only a great raspy voice with a ton of vocal firepower, he's also a great song writer and rhythm guitarist in his own right and just took the Crue gang in another direction. Rumor was they were going to call the band something totally different because John took them in a really more alt rock direction than Motley Crue were known for. Their record label insisted on keeping the Motley Crue name, even though that album is barely recognizable as a Motley Crue album to begin with. (Rumor was guitarist Mick Mars enjoyed recording with John Corabi so much that he'll be recording with John on John's upcoming solo album. Mick supposedly said that the Crue album featuring John Corabi was the most fun he'd had recording a Motley Crue album in a long time. Personally, I never get tired of hearing "Hooligan's Holiday.") Actually, maybe not surprisingly, Vince Neil's solo album, at least the first one, has a strong Motley Crue vibe to it. Probably the best song on the album is "You're Invited (But Your Friend Can't Come)" except that, the better version of the song is the original version that went with the soundtrack to the Brendan Frasier/Pauly Shore movie Encino Man. Steve Stevens redid the guitar parts in the studio for the album version and, as great a guitarist as Steve is? He totally wrecked the guitar on that song with these over-wrought synthetic stun gun guitar sounds that are just too obnoxious. Hence why I recommend the Encino Man soundtrack version. "Sister of Pain" is also a great Vince Neil solo album hit single worth checking out. And since I mentioned Steve Stevens, I highly recommend Steve's own hit single Atomic Playboys with his band of the same name. Great kick ass adrenaline fueled high energy song and a very badass video. ("I am NOT an Atomic Playboy!") Nice reaction video again guys.
One thing I always loved about Motley Crue, is that while most bands try to find a way to be unique and different. Crue is unapologetically a cliche. They exemplify the Rock star lifestyle and rock out. They just try to louder and wilder than anyone else.

I remember hearing this at the Dr Feelgood concert along with Mama I'm Coming Home. The spinning cage with Tommy Lee in it with him jumping on a bungee rope above the crowd, released, and free fell into the crowd. He crowd surfed all the way back to the stage and was missing most of his clothes when he got there lmao. Mick playing on a rising column into the air with the guitar out in front of him laid flat and ending with a leap into the air, a slide on his knees to the crowd, and never missed a note. Great times, awesome memories, and simply a great band that night. The "Faster Pussycats" opened for them.
'Mornin' , I was taking care of my 6 month old granddaughter this morning, feeding her breakfast. Kell started talking and that was it , sweet girl was done with breakfast till the video was over. You have a new fan !! 🙂

Montrose was a band that influenced countless other bands that came after in the late '70's and 80's. Eddie Van Halen loved the band and they used Montrose producer for their debut album. Tommy Lee of Motley Crue incorporated Montrose song "Rock Candy" into his drum solo. Sammy Hagar got his start as the lead singer for Montrose and he wrote Bad Motor Scooter. True story, the song is about Nikki Six needing a shot of adrenaline to his heart after a furious night of partying, so they literally Kick Started his Heart, lol. Oh, and Kel, your right, this song has been on TV the last couple of years in a car commercial. This is just the tip of the iceberg of Motley Cruë’s awesome music. I know we’re not supposed to suggest songs here but I’m going to suggest one anyway (so shoot me😝😝😝😝), Too Young To Fall In Love is one of my favorite Mötley Crüe songs, give it a listen/reaction, I’m sure Kel hasn’t heard this one.
\m/ Stay Metal \m/
This song always takes me back to when I still had my superbike, twisting the wrist and powering into hot corners \m/
