    Hello and welcome to this burning crusade classic warrior PvE guide. Burning crusade is considered by many to be the best wow expansion and the golden era of world of warcraft. And today I am going to walk you through all three warrior PvE specializations to help you maximize your effectiveness in PvE, whether you want to roll Arms, Fury, or Protection. To do that I'm going to cover everything from talents, gems, enchantments, BiS list, to gameplay & skill rotations for all three specializations. Get some good food and drink because this guide is extensive. If you like how that all sounds, do be so kind and give this video a like, subscribe to the channel, and turn on bell notifications. And if you want to go through this at your own pace, a link to the presentation is in the description as well!
    We're going to start with a brief high-level overview.
    Some talent tree re-arrangements helped warriors out in TBC. One of those is the detachment of rend from deep wounds and impale. In order to get deep wounds and impale, warriors needed to put 3 points into rend, essentially wasting talent points. Now in the burning crusade warriors don't need to put three points in rend to "unlock" deep wounds and impale. Not only that but improved intercept and death wish were both moved into the arms tree.
    When it comes to PvE, all three specializations are viable. Protection warriors are proven tanks and are the number one choice for single-target main tanking. Arms can also perform great, especially now that both factions have windfury totem.
    A downside about Warriors is that they are the slowest class to level. They have high gear dependence, especially when it comes to weapons, and have a hard time doing more difficult quests. Taking on more than one mob at a time as a warrior can be a challenge and usually results in death. Top that off with low mobility and that brings warriors to the hardest and slowest class to level.
    Many argue warriors were OP in TBC and it has some merit. Warrior is a great choice PvE if you can grind your warrior to 70.
    This is a great cookie cutter build for a PvE DPS Arms Warrior. Note that improved thunder clap and improved demoralizing shout can be replaced with other talents if they are already provided by another warrior. Sword specialization is the best out of all the weapon specializations, but use the specialization of your current weapon. The order of best to worst is sword specialization, poleaxe specialization, and last mace specialization. And again this is for PvE.
    When it comes to gems, you're going to want to get the relentless earthstorm diamond as your meta gem. Then fill your reds with either bold living rubys, or inscribed noble topaz's. Blue can be filled with red gems, or if you want to bonus, you can get either sovereign nightseye or jagged talasite. And last for yellow gems you're going to want to get smooth dawnstone or rigid dawnstone. What gems you get are going to depend on if you're a JC and have access to the JC only gems, and what stats your gear is missing.
    Next up we have enchants. For the head enchant you'll want glyph of the outcast, or if you aren't hit capped, you'll want glyph of ferocity. Because you can't be ferocious if you aren't hit capped 😉. For shoulder enchant you'll want greater inscription or vengeance or greater inscription of the blade.

    In the rotation, now in the prepatch, I have so low rage so the rotation white attack - slam - mortal strike is more like white attack x4 - white attack x4 - mortal strike and so on. is this normal or? Im so new to classic

    • @krypt0rchid

      That is because this guide is complete horseshit, the rotation in this guide doesn't work because blizzard patched it so a slam macro that was going around wouldn't work anymore which also stopped slam from resetting the swing timer

    Soooo, will blacksmith have to reroll their craft to spec swords or maces ? or will a classic armorsmith be able to train TBC weaponsmith & spec maces or swords ?

    • @Toyhouze

      You shouldn't have to reroll I think you can change specialization in tbc, if you're classic armor smith I think you can learn mace spec or sword spec etc

      If you want to experience bc content yeah being at least 58 is good. But blood elf and draenei is also bc content at lvl 1. So depends what you want to experience. I'd recommend getting 58 before TBC or even 60 is better to be ready for Outland.

      It is still unknown how the server will be released. There might be fresh tbc servers where everyone starts at 1, or continuation of normal classic servers where ppl can continue their classic characters (or maybe both)

    In classic the new meta for tanking is Fury-prot specc, how is that specc holding up in TBC? What do you think? =)

    • @generalknowledge6463
      @generalknowledge6463 3 года назад +3

      I see he hasn't answered you yet, so here's my look on it.
      Fury-prot builds were successful in Classic because the mobs/bosses weren't hitting as hard as they will in TBC - namely heroics. Most Fury-prot Warriors had to carry a shield with them at all times. The idea behind their spec was to generate as much TPS as possible. In TBC, that's no longer an issue as our abilities have changed to benefit tanks more AND we have a list of new instant-cast abilities at our disposal.

    • @gtetrakai
      @gtetrakai 3 года назад +5

      As a fury prot in classic, I'm happy to say the spec is dead in tbc. Things hit too hard and you give up way too much but not going deep prot

    • @ir0n2541
      @ir0n2541 3 года назад +1

      I would say for leveling to 70 spec arms/fury, once you get to 70 spec prot for heroics and raids.

    • @Toyhouze

      Some PvE fights are just miserable for Melee dps and cannot keep up. Pretty much might not even be brought for those fights.

    Overall, not a bad video, but could use improvements or had bad information in some places. Here's just what I noticed on my first viewing:
    1. Why did you only T6 gear + swp crafted for ur BiS list for dps warriors but used all swp gear for prot? Also, it's a bit misleading when you listed things like gloves of immortal dusk with (LW) when they're BoE and anyone can use them, not just leatherworkers.
    2. Some of your gear choices were a bit off, but they were pretty good overall. I don't think you emphasized the importance of BS weapons enough for dps warriors, as they don't really get replaced until the middle to end of T6.
    3. I know you mentioned a couple of times that spec and gearing for prot was flexible based on play-style, but it goes beyond that. Sometimes, you'll want to change gear and (and somtimes specs) fight-to-fight, as sometimes you'll need max mitigation and others you'll need more threat, avoidance, pure hp, or general survivability. Prot warriors tend to keep more gear in their bags than any other class/spec.
    4. Prot warriors should almost always focus on gemming stamina, not damage mitigation. Also, you should definitely include grenades/sapper charges/arcane bombs as useful tools for engineers, especially for prot warriors, as their aoe aggro sucks.
    5. Your statement that prot warriors are the premier single-target main tank is only really true for the first half of the expansion (and specific fights where spell reflect is required). Beyond late t5 and early 6, pallys and druids start outperforming prot warriors by a considerable margin. Most serious guilds won't even run prot warriors during most sunwell progression fights, as their threat (single target and aoe) and survivability just can't keep up.

      1.) It's not true that Warriors keep more gear in their bags than any other classes since Paladins see much more utility than Warriors do. Paladins fill healing, DPS, and tanking roles whenever necessary for their guild/raid - this will include multiple sets of gear.
      2.) If any Warriors follow this -stolen- guide to the letter, no, they shouldn't be focusing on gemming stamina since their mitigation will be absolute garbage since Shield Block has no level of priority in their rotation apparently.
      3.) Druids, by default have less survivability than Warriors do. Paladins also come second to Warriors in that matter. Paladins have good burst threat against Undead or Demon targets, but in the long haul, given the cooldowns of their major abilities, Warriors will out-threat them in the end against single targets. AoE pulls? Paladins will win that fight 100% of the time.
      4.) Tanks don't change their specs from fight to fight. If there is a particular that requires a specific spec choice (which none really do) guilds will adjust for that specifically. (One tank is spec'd for that fight and the others are spec'd to handle the other fights perfectly fine)

  • @buttonmashers7133
    @buttonmashers7133 3 года назад +4

    To eliminate a boss' chance to parry your attack, your Expertise has to be 56 (431 Expertise Rating)
    25 Expertise won't eliminate anything - To eliminate a boss' chance to dodge, your Expertise has to be 26.
    As a Warrior, you don't have to worry as much about damage mitigation as Paladins do since you have Shield Block - effectively putting you up there for avoidance and reaching crush immunity with absolute ease. You SHOULD worry about Stamina, Hit Rating and Expertise.
    I know you copied and pasted this guide, so you may not be completely aware of what is wrong with it, but along with what I've already said, Warriors should stack pure Stamina for gems without using Agility as part of them since again, Warriors don't need to worry about mitigation.
    Bulwark of the Ancient Kings is not a tanking chest piece - whatsoever. It is, however, Bind on Pickup.
