  • There was a spot in Lincolnton, NC called Lincoln Seafood that was my favorite fried fish place growing up. I wonder if it still hits. If you happen to be there (which you have no reason to be), let me know! With summer pretty much here, all the parties are heading outside which means we can fry up some fish and not stink up the kitchen! Today I'm doing fried flounder because that's what we had growing up in NC but you can substitute any white fish. And we're also making hush puppies, which I didn't appreciate as a kid but now I do! So get that southern accent ready cause I'm taking you home with me....again!

Thank you for representing NC! I moved to Michigan a few month ago and I've been sharing my fried childhood with my friends.

My favorite to do with caught Walleye in Minnesota! Corn flour and Grain Belt for the win

I know time is probably a problem but when cooking something like fish, I think it could be fun to see John and his friends go fishing and cook the fish they catch. Brad Leone does a lot of videos like that. One video harvesting the animal and another cooking it. His budget is going to be much higher but if they were shot like the Funhaus disc golf or basketball videos, that would be fun.

Looks amazing! I'll give it a try with any trout I can catch this summer. They're more fishy but it is absolutely worth a go

It'll change your life! If you can make them you should. Add your fav spice to the batter if you're worried about the taste.

Most of the ones you'll buy are totally tasteless, but John's way of making them sounds tasty
