Great performance! He actually recorded a publishing demo for this song back in '68, which was released on his Compilation album Ultimate Collection in 2001, which is the only version I ever heard of him singing this song.

Actually, she released her version in 1968. I do love this version by the original writer Tom, who is one of my favorite country singers.
