I enjoyed your video it bought back memories of the many times we have been in the Alps and the Pyrenees the first time is about 27 years ago in our 300 Tdi then in our TD5 and our Discovery 3 I had from 2008 always towing a 8 m twin axel caravan. In Spain in the Pyrenees we found ourselves on a single track road with the caravan on for 45 Km with no where to turn around but luck was on my side as we did not meet another vehicle, on the hairpin bends I was watching the caravan wheels almost going off the road. That was the best 45 Km I have ever driven in my life. Thank you for all your videos. John in England
Always SO impressed with Vera's levels of fitness!!! All through this small series of your Alps holiday, she's always cycling and running in this very steep landscape! 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Also VERY impressed with Philips save when his bike slid and he saved it with the foot dab. 🙌 What an absolutely magical holiday and beautiful memories for you all. Thank you so much for sharing. (Yes, i realise I'm about 2yrs late to the party, but I've watched all your current stuff, so I'm making my way through the back catalogue).
A fabulous bit of videography. Most entertaining and humour is. Vera never stopped smiling and Philipp cycled like someone on the T de F. Amazing roads and views. Thanks. 👍🏻🙏🏽😷🦘
You are very fit to climb those big boulders, as for your mirror, I knocked the mirror clean off including it's mount on a dry stone wall on my Range Rover as I turned a corner at speed. Enjoy the rest of your holiday, best wishes from the UK.
That was truly amazing, the vistas...wow.But the roads were quite scary. Well done on the bikes as well. That bolder field was steep. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for taking us along on your vacation in the alps, the scenery was absolutely spectacular. Your campsite at the top of the border was breathtaking, I really enjoyed this video👌
Hi there Christian vera and Philip it looks like you had a fantastic time in the Alps you are so lucky being that close to beautiful countryside. Looking forward to seeing you next video take care. Ralph
We travel about 8 hours to the Western Alps from our house. We can only manage that trip once a year unfortunately. But we do know how lucky we are. 😃🙋♀️ Vera
What a wonderful trip. The Liguri ridge road was absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Looks like you are big steak fans when camping - Christian was even thinking of burgers whenever he saw cows!
What a wonderful trip! We are in day 7 of or trip the the Cascade and Selkirk Mountains of the Northwest United States. Had to use Rock Crawl mode and low range to get up to several spots. Vera you are a superwoman riding with your boy in the alps. Bravo! Bob & Jill
Thank you, I saw the pictures you emailes me, just incredible. We traveled in the Cascades also extensively, did a lot hiking and mountain biking there. 😃👍🙋♀️ Vera
Really enjoyed this video, some great views of the mountains and some risky roads but looks like you had a great time. I love Vera and her energy plus she is always smiling .
@@Vera_and_Christian it's all about the places you get to explore rather then the 4wding part, And that looks like one of the most amazing places to visit, made Kerry and myself jealous that's for sure 😅🤩
Amazing scenery and incredible camping spot you guys had there. Very different scenery to what we have here in Australia. The roads you drove on scared me a little bit though 😂
You have been there, looking at your name.We love it there, it's 15 min from our house.😅👍 We have a scene of Worms in one of our Videos. It's our back-up train station, when the train from Bensheim to Mannheim is delayed or canceled.🙋♀️Vera
Fantastic that’s what it’s all about getting up in the hills enjoying the views next year I’m doing the Scottish NC 500 then the year after I wish to do the full paralyse from Italy to France so I hope to have a picnic at the same spot as you did😁🇬🇧👍
Evening Vera and Christian 👍🏻 What a lovely video of your mountain 🏔 trekking in the LR 🤣 Looks like Vera makes some good grub for you both 😋 Not a fixing video but excellent all the same guys 👍🏻 Take care until the fantastic LR time video cheers Stevie 🏴 😍
Yes sometimes we actually want to use the Disco for what it's intented to be used for 😅. And we were prepared to handle any breakdown on the trail, but it worked just fine. 😃🙋♀️ Vera
Great video guys and hope you all enjoyed 😊 iv done the alps 3 times and love exploring the mountain passes every time and will be back 😁 im just enjoying living and exploring the scottish highlands having moved up here 4 months ago for work .
I'm Norwegian, so I do not love your vlog, but I like it. Have seen some videos, after I found your vlog when you tested the new Defender. I like this kind of driving, and keep on doing good vlogs.
Hi Vera Just to let you know , the stickers have just turned up in the post this morning 3-9-2021 Hope the holiday is still going great Thanks again Dave
Thank you for sharing your lovely family holiday with us. Fantastic scenery! Your LR eating up the trackways... The nearest I ever got to doing this was taking a BMW K75 motorbike over the old Splugen Pass from Italy to Switzerland about 30 years back. At least that had a tarmac road, but it was still quite adventurous for me. The poor bike was coughing from the altitude, I had no idea how to adjust it!
That was such a nice video to watch. The climb up the rocky glacier (I presume) looked hard and I kept thinking Why? But then Vera said there was a hut selling hot sausages and then it all made sense!! When I was (I think) living near Celle I bought a new Vitara soft top and drove down through Germany and through into Italy all the way down to the south. One Italian guy said the Vitara looked like a white shoe it was so small. When I got back to Celle I traded it in straight away for a new Nissan Patrol because I was going to Glastonbury Festival and I could sleep in the Patrol. (I was between Land Rover products at the time).
Great video, loved it. It really mankes me want to visit those areas. Covid permitting we hope to cross Europe in my X-trail (Mk.II 4x4, not the new crossover rubbish) in the next few weeks as my wife has not seen her mother in two years (we are in the UK and my wife is from Central Europe) and I hope to be able to drive some of the mountain roads in the western Carpathians (Fatras, Matras, etc.).
Great video guys, l did that pass in a VW Westfalia back in the day when men were men and sheep were frightened, hope yous are having a great time, we also did both St Bernards part of our Italian grand tour, that was quite hairy too.
Oh no, he was 14 back then and not interested at all in sleeping with his parents 😃🙃. Philipp slept inside the car, we have a video about the sleeping plattform he used ruclips.net/video/PT3qnUWmL1o/видео.html 🙋♀️Vera
Wonderful amazing roads ! We went up some Italian mountain roads like that many years ago about an hour and a half from Monaco in our TD5 Disco 2 at the top my wife was so scared she got out of the car and walked all the way down with 4 children under 12, she was mad with me !!! I have just showed her your gravel driving and she said never again !! Is this why they prefer the Bikes ? More chance of survival. Need to get that guide book. You mentioned you saw a lot of Jeeps because you where near Turin is that because Chrysler own Jeep and Fiat ?
Nice video, but i have a tip for Christian... When in Low gear, if you select gravel-grass-snow on Terrain Response, the disco will ride smoother due to opening of the pneumatic crosslink valves... looking at you instrument panel, if you can read the external temperature it means that no special program of TR is selected :-))
Looks like you all had a great time on your trip. Just time to go home for some maintenance and then drive to Spain and join us at the Land Rove Party tracks
Awsome footage, nice places! I’ve saw some maps in the video but I was wondering if you could put a google map link maybe in the description? It would be helpful! Keep on filming!! I love your chanel!
👍 I'll try. We are actually old fashioned when it comes to navigation. Our Roadbook gives us the town and intersection where the entrance to the pass is, and then it's all by description. I will put a summary of all the passes with entrance in the community section soon. They are all very famous under European offroaders and easily to locate. 🙋♀️ Vera
I like your personalised number plate 👍 The engine in the Christian LR was showing its age on the boulders, it must have high mileage as it was dragging it’s bottom on the ground way too much.😜😜
The rarely seen unicorn: a 14 year old smiling while on a family vacation! Glad you all had fun in the LR.
😃👍 He was a true champ🙋♀️ Vera
Is Vera Wonder Woman. I was sweating just watching them cycling up the mountains. Great family adventure 😊
What a nice scenery!
I really enjoyed entire 32 minutes journey with you guys.
Thank you:-)
