What trim level did you choose , ? Just wondering how does the handbrake work. I think the lightning is the best overall ev truck ideal for work and family.
What a lot of people don’t talk about… beyond saving on gas, is INSURANCE! I got estimates for a 2023 F150 Lightning, a 2021 Audi E-Tron Prestige, and a 2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range today from Geico and All-State… the Lightning was 3x less than the model Y and $800 less annually than the e-tron to insure, with the same coverage!
The 0-60 time for the Lightning with the extended range battery is about 3.9 seconds. This is far better than the 4.5 seconds Ford first promised. Even for the standard range battery, the 0-60 time is around 4.1 seconds. None of the Lightning battery versions have a 0-60 time faster than the Raptor R, which has a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds. Feel free to fact check me.
Thanks, Brian! From everything I’ve seen and read, Ford has a winner here. Hm, Cynthia may be swayed by the Rivian I feel 🤔 Big money pickups, eh! Crikey.
I live in Michigan and we tow a lot and go Up North a lot and an electric truck really is a non-starter. I can let the deficiencies of an electric car slide because it's easier to get away with it and maybe it's a second car but a truck, just no. The argument that you are just driving 15 miles to a job site is a terrible one, your vehicle should be just as good for the easiest task as it is for the hardest. I give a pass to the Rivian because to me it's not a real truck, it's a lifestyle vehicle but for real trucks they need to be able to get the job done, any job.
Some may argue that all half ton pickups are lifestyle vehicles. Looking forward to battery tech getting better, as you said it’s a non starter if you actually use your pickup as tow vehicle etc..
Great Review. I think I will wait to see if they do a heat pump to help with efficiency. I think I would like it for a daily driver just in the city or maybe the Rivian if around the same price.
I appreciate the video, but ugh, I had to tune it out after I heard you say the standard battery is “massive.” No it’s not, and after hearing that, I can’t listen to anything else you say and take it credibly.
lol the ppl that 1st bought the emustang used it as a lawn ornament , it was so bad even ford couldn't fix it between 2020-2022 ford is the most recall car brand, i dont understand why anyone can entertain the idea of buy a ford
My business partner has a Mach E with almost 11,000 miles on it and has had zero issues. It's a great vehicle as long as you have enough range and can charge at home, if you don't then it becomes interesting. The seats in it are also super comfortable.
I BOUGHT ONE ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND LOVE IT

Great review! I love it. In fact, I purchased one today.

I bought a 2023 511a Lariat. It is every bit as luxurious as my RX450h. Worth every cent of $88k USD.
Thanks, Brian!

Big money for sure. The Rivian is in a whole class. Not as much work truck but more premium play truck. Its definitely a show stopper

100/131 kWh is pretty big in my books. Maybe if you’re comparing it to the Hummer EV
awesome review. But i'm never buying Ford again. They lied to me with my Lightning order
Oh no. What happened?
The roush f150 is the fastest
Love mine

Things are never as bad as the negative press. Plenty of extremely happy Ford owners
