Thanks for doing this review. I was wondering because it was entirely clear to me: how was your experience playing Sekiro on Steam Deck? Did it impair your ability to do deflects?

Let me. Review this review, like the way you reviewed.
First let's start of with the cons.
This video tries to do too much. It's neither satisfactory as a sekiro review, nor a steam deck review. Because if you'd split it into sekiro and then steam deck. There'd be some satisfaction to each segment. But the fact that you shoehorned the deck review in between the sekiro review means you are left with dissatisfaction in both.
Now, speaking about steam deck review - 99% of the people don't care about capturing video from their portable gaming console. So I'm not sure why it falls into a con. It's meant to be a portable device, not talking about its battery life gives us nothing about its key selling point. Not talking about its repairability is a disservice to what valve were even trying to do with this device. Not talking about steam os in the larger scope of its development does a disservice to why valve wants to support Linux vs Windows.
Not talking about what capture devices were used gives no indication of where the problem lies at all. Was a USB c capture card used? Was it a connector format issue. Was it a software issue? Even the cons stated don't make it clear what's happening here at all. I'm not sure what's greedy about a company not supporting an OS it did not design its device for. Its meant to run steam OS. You *can* run Windows on it. If you choose to do so, you do so on your own skills.
A good steam deck review, atleast a long term one would talk about the changes you've noticed form the original release. What's happened on the software side, how did the hardware fare, where there any issues that a general consumer should be aware of. Has there been progress on compatibility etc. None of those exist. But let's skip past this assuming this isn't a steam deck review.
Let's get to sekiro review. Because despite the random segue, I call it random because, I don't know if I should base your experience on the fact that you played it on the deck, or just ignore that entire section of the review altogether in understanding your perspective of sekiro is unclear to me. Sekiro was never designed to be played on such a tiny screen in the first place. So not sure how a viewer should factor that into the discussion.
As you admitted, in a sea of sekiro reviews, this one stands out solely because it talks about a completely unrelated topic right in between. And I'm not sure why that matters.
If we are going to talk about elden ring anyways, wouldn't it make sense to talk about the things sekiro contributed to elden ring? Both the good and the bad. Hoe Melania feels like a boss more at home in sekiro rather than in elden ring. We've all already seen a hundred videos of sekiro combat design. Some even go into actually talking about the concepts sekiro in the lore and tries to talk about those. The sekiro review itself concludes with just - it's an essential fromsoft experience. A few years after sekiro has released, and has won a number of awards including the game of the year, that's pretty much a forgone conclusion.
A better analysis would've been, who is it for, and who it isn't for. How has it aged, since released and in the scope of the larger gaming context. Did it deserve the acclaim it recieved. Is it replayable. How does it fare for the soulsborne community.
So many words and yet so little said.
And I'm not just being harsh for the sake of it, I just want to see you improve.

First of all it seems like you watched most if not all of my review. Thank you very much!
The Steam Deck segment was a follow up to my proper Steam Deck review: ruclips.net/video/lRUNIlJAiLA/видео.html . It was not meant to be an entire review. It was a general follow up with the device since my proper review focused very tightly on it being a travel companion. Other things like battery, compatibility, repairability which you brought up are in that video. Software video capture is a critical feature which every other current and last gen platform offers. If this Switch can provide it then the Deck should be able to. The greed I am referring to come in both hardware and software. Failure to adequately spec which docks will work besides their official dock unnecessarily obfuscates information to bolster their hardware sales. Failing to make the Deck work on commonly purchased top selling Amazon docks hurts Valve's argument the Deck is a "full fledged PC". For software, Valve intentionally makes accessing other store fronts difficult by basing the platform on Steam OS. This is not inherently a problem - most platforms design themselves around a restrictive ecosystem to make the parent company money. What is frustrating with the Deck is the Proton compatibility layer coupled with Anti-Cheat not being supported on many games running Steam OS makes a TON of games which should be playable unplayable. A simple solution would be to have better Window's support on the deck. Still ship it with Steam OS, but the Windows experience is absolutely terrible. A few QOL Windows improvements would go a long way in game compatibility for games which don't even work on Steam OS natively. I think Valve has some anti-consumer practices with the Steam Deck which I called out.
I still like the Deck, but those are my post review thoughts.
My Sekiro video was meant to stand out because I played it and reviewed it in Japan.
I did talk about how Sekiro contributed to Elden Ring.
My next two reviews are Fire Emblem Engage and Raft. They will be more traditional reviews. There won't be an abrupt cut to Steam Deck, and they will be more focused. Check out my Elden Ring or Bloodborne reviews as examples. The Steam Deck section was promised in my Deck review. My Odin Lite Review has a similar promise for my next retro review. I hope you stick around.
For me personally, I'm fine that it came out jumbled. There was a lot going on. Sekiro, Japan, Steam Deck. It was an ambitious project, and it was fun to try to tackle so much in one video.

@@CFU Hey, its great to see a creator, not just engage with positive feedback, but with critical ones as well. And I hope I didn't come out too harshly, some of my own life's issues may have crept into the tone. But I sincerely mean it when I say, I don't intend to just be harsh.
I did watch the entire video, because unless what I'm watching is terrible (which it is not here), I try to avoid it, so it doesn't affect the algorithm, for the creator. I know, Its small, but as a friend of someone who is trying to make a channel on youtube, I can't help but empathise and not be detrimental to a channel where I can. Same reason why, no adblock.
I usually wouldn't bother commenting, but I had done so only because I really enjoyed your Elden Ring review. I really appreciate the more long form of content, especially, when its not just padded out, because they usually tend to be more thought provoking pieces.
the link in your comment is only redirecting to the Sekiro review, so I'm guessing there's some error there.
Now, as to the topics discussed in the review, my own experience with the deck hasn't been very smooth. Although, I should say, I wasn't expecting it to be either, considering how complex, PC as a platform is generally. But I do appreciate the device. Considering video capture, well, the switch really is a phone, its an old nvidia tegra gpu (if i remember it right), and is a lot more comfortable in the world of mobile, PC on the other hand has always had issues in connectivity standards, mostly because of intel / amd not sharing common tech (I'm looking at you thunderbolt), combined that with the fact that we are running this on linux, things begin to add up quite a bit. They probably should've had it, but I can understand why it would've been at the bottom of the list of things they really cared about. And I agree with it, most people, just couldn't care. Nintendo NEEDS to have it, because that is the only way to review anything Nintendo. But the Switch has NOTHING on it, that is exclusive to it. So, I'd say, its reasonable. And people have been putting out videos from the deck, before the Dock even was announced. So I'm sure there's a way.
Also, I usually tend to have detest the top selling amazon anything, simply because they are usually the cheapest options available. However, things may not be the same in your country, and I can understand the sentiment.
As to the OS, personally I feel once Anti-cheat is resolved, Valve have done it. For now, its not a multiplayer device. And they could've easily made sure they built a closed platform to ensure anticheat compatibility, but I respect where they are going with steam. Interestingly, I can play valve's own games on it (dota2 player), without any issues.
Issue primarily has been with things like Easy, and I can understand why Valve wants to force their hand here. At the beginning of every platform, the platform owner has to make a really difficult decision - allow compatibility with competitors, or force people to develop for their own platform. Blackberry did that when they were building their own platform and allowed android apps to run on their platform - the result was that nobody bothered developing for black berry, even windows store is the same, and now they are trying to integrate android apps into it. Allowing people to easily swtich to windows is the most certain way to kill SteamOS, I can't see a reason why they allowed it in the first place. The only explanation I can think of is that Valve are legendary for making 'tools' and leeting the community have a go at it, and the deck is designed just like that, as a 'tool' , but also as console for the general public. I wouldn't quite say, it was greed, but its the only option they have to protect the future of Steam OS.
I think what bothered me the most in the review was not having steam deck in it, but having it in between the review. Like if the entire video was segmented into two distinct sections, it would've made sense, because there are two different topics your brain is forced to process, without solving either until the end. And they are too unrelated to be together, for example, if it were like throwing in a bloodborne review, in between, to circle back to how that made a difference to sekiro, I can see how that goes. But because it was a hardware component, which you usually are meant to ignore unless something glaring is sticking out, it felt very jarring. But that's just my experience as a viewer.
I will be looking forward to more of your work, clearly, you have put in a lot of work, and I know better than to dismiss hardwork just like that. If my words benefit you, you can consider them, otherwise, I'm just a viewer with an opinion, like the thousands and millions around.
Appreciate you taking the time to replay.
And hopefully you will be the channel, your work deserves.
      Cheers.
