Sounds like a good deal, I'm sorry, I must of hated on you liking rollerball, I mean drome cause I was hungry lol but really I just see that game, and see that there should be more to it cause straight off the bat, I can see it doesn't have a story line which was the main reason why I was turned off from that game, so I know now I shouldn't knock on your type of game but midnight fight express kinda got me P.O.ed cause I remember playing John wick hex last year on a PS4 slim before I got my ps5 and let me tell you the last of us part 2, we need a part 3 asap, fuck that game had me so emotional, since I had a PS3 as well last year, don't anymore, before playing that, the first one was key, then to get a PS4 slim and have it free on PS plus or now for 3 days on a binge and beat that game and yeah flipping emotional, that's why I'm physched, preaching here for the loup1 remake on PS5 let me tell you, I'm going to game fly it cause why not be the lord of the flys when you can but John wick hex i hated it for it board game style of play it offered plus it was hard af but I still beat it but what Im getting at is John wick hex should of had midnight fight express style of game play instead, maybe they'll remake it in the future lol cause there's so much there that isn't adding up but one last thing cause I legitimately like Jake baldino for the way he presents himself but don't fool yourself when he says the pizzas on me cause I had my captions on, and when he said that, the captions said pizza zombie Lol 😂 😜
Moonlight is great. It almost feels 1:1 in the steam deck for input lag on my connection at home. With streaming battery life is long and the graphics are as good as my PC can push. love it
Hey Jake, just wanted to say that I really appreciate you. I follow a lot of gaming news, and it's really refreshing to have someone just be passionate about sharing stuff they love.
I can third that. Baldino is my go to when I need a opinion on anything gaming. He is always genuine. No politics or bs that you get from a lot of gaming channels.
Same. I like that he leaves most the overly negative stuff out. Like he'll mention what he disliked but doesn't tend to harp on it forever and sound whiny about it lol. And usually leaves on a positive note.
I have a 4 month old daughter and honestly, the deck is a godsend. Love the indies, but currently working through RDR2 and the ability to just switch off and come back is incredible. Minimal set up without having to disturb anyone, and the capacity to play 15 mins at 4pm or 4am makes it the ultimate parenting console. This isn't being talked about enough!
After a year of waiting, I finally got my Deck this week. I have about 40 games in my steam file. I went straight to Skyrim. Really enjoying everything about the system. Play anywhere, the performance and battery life.
My Q4 order email came through on Thursday this week. And I ordered it Friday morning. So hopefully should get it next week. Hang in there, you are so close!
I've had mine since April and it really is the best tech purchase I've made in my life. Being able to play games at work, at friends houses without dragging a whole desktop with me is so fantastic. I've never had good experiences with gaming laptops, so this thing has really blown me away. Can't recommend it enough.
About 2 months after I got mine I went ahead and sold my Switch and all the games as I found that my favorites run perfectly on Yuzu on the steam deck. It's been 4 months and I don't regret it l that decision at all. Plus, being able to message teammates or use discord in the background while in playing is AMAZING.
The Deck has been one of the highlights of the year for me, it’s the ultimate backlog machine tbh. I love laying in bed and playing through older games that’ve been building (virtual) dust, it’s perfect for it
Having the Witcher 3 on the go has made me fall in love with the game all over again. I’m amazed that it runs as well as it does on the steam deck (average 55fps) and the battery life is about 1.5 hours so it’s nice to sit down while I have a break at college and play a bit before my next class
Really love these kind of videos. With all the video game media out there, I always really enjoy how real and down to earth your videos are. Your opinions and passion are such a breath of fresh air. Thanks for being you! On another note, I’ve been back and forth on getting a steam deck because I already have a PS5, but the allure of playing so many great games ANYWHERE sounds awesome. I might pull the trigger on it. We’ll see. Love your videos so much!
I've had my SD for about a month now and I've been loving it. All of my most recent Steam game purchases have been catered to whether or not I can play them on my SD. My go to SD games as of recently are Grim Dawn, Dead Rising, SkaterXL, and Dead Island. All of them play really well on the SD, and I'm still blown away by the audio quality the SD puts out as well, thing gets proper loud 👌🏽
Finally got my order email this week, so I’m excited!! It’s refreshing to see someone genuinely talk about their time with the system. Seeing Spider-Man run on this got me even more excited!! Hopefully it doesn’t take forever to ship mines now that I’ve completed the purchase.
As a guy who live in Japan, we can finally order the deck in this month! They said they will start delivering at the end of their year hope I can have it as a Xmas present lol.
Been playing Rollerdrome and Trek to Yomi on my Steam Deck and absolutely love it! Looking forward to future versions of the hardware, but I've been blown away so far.
Loving it so much. The emudeck was such a surprise for me. I totally got this with the intention to play AAA games but I find myself playing things like MGS3, LOTR The Third Age, etc. Absolutely loving it.
I love EmulationStation! It's like having a portable PlayStation 2 with me wherever I go! I haven't tried DuckStation since I can also run those games on EmulationStation. But I am curious on trying some upper-level Nintendo games on it with Yuzu and such!
@@Cyko.. I personally highly suggest trying Duckstation if you like playing PS1 games I know a lot of purist like to say the only way to play PS1 games is how they were originally on the system but Duckstation being able to fix the horrible texture warping is incredible and makes the system so much more playable for me cause the texture warping always gave me a headache so being able to play these old game without the level constantly wobbling is pretty great.
The Steam deck is fascinating to me because I feel like it’s for a specific target audience and I’m that audience. But I’m also wondering what the Nintendo Switch’s successor will be (Switch Pro), but also what a Gen. 2 Steam Deck would be. It’s great to see how handheld gaming has and will evolve.
Got my Steam Deck Wednesday (8-17-22) and i'm loving it. I wish the battery lasted longer and i wish the charger that came with it had a longer cable, but other than that it's great!! Keep up the great work Jake you and the Gameranx guys are the main people I go to for video games!! 👍👍😎😎
I got mine back towards the latter half of July and I've loved every moment of it. I just completed my first game on steam deck which was surprisingly Wolfenstein New Order and it's very cool playing those full experiences without any detriment
Steamdeck is awesome and I love how much effort they put into the controls the joysticks are pristine! There are no handelds right now that can match it.
Hi bro, so sorry to brother you. Would you like to try a stand base for Steam Deck for free? We are a steam deck accessories seller on Amazon, and we want to get some reviews, thanks.
I signed up in February and was consistently in the Q4 group until the update a few weeks ago, and I bought it today! I also finally got my hands on a PS5 this week so I am completely overwhelmed with new gaming possibilities.
Loving my Steam Deck! It's easily my favorite console that I've owned in a long time. I'm mostly using it for my backlog of indie titles and older classics, but am also playing games like The Witcher 3 on it. And I totally agree with your take on battery life. For more demanding titles, like The Witcher 3, I get around 3 to 3 and a half hours, which while not perfect is more than enough for me. Older games like Skyrim or New Vegas I get around 4 to 5 hours, and ofc all my indie titles I get 6 or higher. Edit: Oh and yeah, I was never able to get into New Vegas until getting to play it on the go. There are a few other titles too, but New Vegas is the biggest surprise for me by far.
New Vegas is brilliant but I could only ever get into it when heavily modded on desktop while on Steamdeck I’m totally fine with playing vanilla for some reason. Something about portability makes me a lot more forgiving in terms of technical limitations.
I found myself playing some older/ more casual games on the steam deck that I wouldn’t normally play if I was at my desk on PC. When I’m on my PC I end up playing games with keyboard and mouse, mostly FPS games or games that require a beefy GPU. The steam deck is a unique experience, it’s so convenient I’ve had way more opportunities to play games and have fun without the commitment of being stuck in one place. Awesome video Jake
The steam deck has been phenomenal for visual novels for me. Lay down, read some quality Steins;Gate, put it in sleep mode when I'm done so I can just pick up and play later.
I love my Steam Deck, my combo is a 60% keyboard, mouse, hub for down time at work and stock set up during my commute, the versatility of the little device without having to drag my laptop around is pure goodness!.
Really appreciate these videos. Your last update one really reassured my purchase and you always have similar tastes so it’s good to see. I’ve gotten my deck since and I love it! My wife loves it to as I no longer have to be in my gsme room to play lol
It must have been how much Skill Up I watch that had the youtube algorithm lead me to you and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for being awesome super excited to see your videos and love to see you in the podcast, great content here.
Finally have had my steam deck since early November and I have to say it amazes me how awesome this thing actually is. Finally get to play the underrated FF13 on the go. Also can’t wait to pack this up with PS1and PS2 emulators!!
12:02 For anyone that doesn't know: If you use sunshine + moonlight to stream this from your PC to steam deck, your PC will do all the processing etc, so your steam deck gets high fps, low heat/energy (so battery life is great) and low fan noise since the deck is not actually using it's chip for the game.
So excited for my Deck to arrive (um, should we stop trying to make “Deck” happen?) and while I’m here, I LOVE your reviews. Always deep and informative, but your sheer love of gaming is what really shines. GAMES ARE FUN! Let’s never forget that. Thanks, Jake.
Honestly love the thing. MX Simulator is a PC only solo developed game only available direct from the developer that I've been playing for years, and being able to take that game on the go, with all the user created content available from community, is incredible. I have a dongle for it, similar to yours and I use it constantly. I have clonehero as well, and when my girlfriend and I went on vacation she sat in the passenger seat on the drive down, playing her old favorite guitar hero songs from the games sh grew up playing with my old wii guitar, with the audio linked to the car speaker system to hear it better and for me to still have music to drive to. I linked it to the TV in the hotel room with an hdmi cord to watch streaming content since I didn't bring a computer. It's spectacularly fun to use and really versatile.
Got mine this week. Been loving it. Some games haven't felt great without a mouse but overall I'm super happy with it. Waiting for better gamepass integration before trying that out.
I’ve had my Steam Deck for about 3-4 months now, and god it’s such a powerhouse when it comes to actual productivity as well. I’m in charge of 3D printing for my architecture research group, and being able to just switch to desktop mode whenever you need it trumps it over my iPad Pro easily. Finished Inscription, Stray, Into the Breach, and Death’s Door on it, and can’t wait to finish Bear and Breakfast and Spider Man.
Got mine. I'm loving Fallout 4. The thing I'm finding it most useful for is when I'm bringing my kids to like a dance rehearsal or jujitsu I fund there's times where I'd be stuck just scrolling Facebook. Now I get those little 30 minute breaks to game, making it feel like I'm enjoying my time vs just waiting till it's time to go. It's really been awesome.
Had my Steam Deck for a bit over a month and I love it. Great for breaks and playing older titles in the ol' backlog or even newer AAA games like the recent Sony exclusives. Metro Exodus even runs on this which just blows my mind. Played through most of Arkham Knight and recently been hitting Gears Tactics and The Ascent pretty hard. The Deck has definitely exceeded my expectations.
Im right there with you love my steam deck to death, playing it a lot more than I thought I would. Playing a ton of retro titles via Emulation Station love that front end. Ive been playing DMC 5, Mad Max ( Thanks for reminding me I had that game lol ), and Mark of the NInja (amazing stealth 2d game). all the pizza , great video.
lol. Oh man love how "Raw" you are some times. This thing looks like a damn joy! One day maybe. My money right now is sourced out to my audio hobby, but I do want one of these for sure. Maybe next year. Cheers bro! Great content as always! \m/
Definitely, it’s just an easy game to drop right in to and it plays perfectly on the deck…they’ve added new regions and mechanics so the developers are really keeping up with the game too
Man I love my deck, I found myself in the steam store alot more lately buying shit. I have been doing the dual boot to win 10 and steam os. It has been great, I can't wait to play saints row next week on it.
@@negativeland5207 actually pretty good, windows 10 seems to work alot better than 11. But I can't complain, it works very well, I was just playing mad max, I'm using a 512gb micro sd and it's been great. Linux has just been a pain in desktop mode, so I use windows for work and just my everyday cpu stuff and gaming has been well on the windows side as well. I find myself switching back to steam os when I play alot my indie games like vampire survivors and not tonight. Steam os is great for emulation as well, emudeck is incredible.
@@frosty1865 Well there are alot of reasons, the main couple for me is Linux, I use my deck alot, I take it to work and remote in on my laptop at home to do stuff, some games are not compatible with steam os, so I use windows to play the stuff that I can't on the steam os side. For me I use windows for alot and I'm just not a Linux person, having to run things with that damn terminal, I'm just spoiled to windows. Keep in mind this is because I use desktop mode and I use my deck for alot of other stuff. If u are just going to game and that's it, steam os will be fine for u. It's just me, I use this thing for alot of other stuff so I kinda wanted windows on mine 😀
Mines arrives on Monday and I can't wait. So many games stacked up in my library and of course game pass! So glad that the majority seem to be enjoying it
I didn't expect it so soon. But I ordered mine yesterday. It is currently waiting to ship. So maybe it will be here Wednesday. It came just in time. Right before I am hopefully starting a new otr trucking job. Got my interview Monday. So the Deck is a dream come true and the perfect companion for gaming on the road. Can't wait. Time to watch the review. 6 months of steam deck for Jake and the rest of us will start their first moments with the deck soon.
My email's probably coming in the next few weeks and I'm still undecided. Super awesome machine but most of the switch games I play are indies and jrpgs, and the big stuff (Elden Ring, Horizon etc) I like to play on a big screen anyway. Just not sure that I'll use it as much as I'd like and then I think about the $500 worth of games I could buy instead. We'll see what happens when the chips are down and that order page is staring me in the face haha
I’m exactly at that moment you described at the end😂 Got the order mail today and i still don’t know if i should buy it or not, tbh if i had a chance to buy it when it came out and everyone was talking about it, i would buy it without thinking. But now i don’t know, not really into it anymore… I probably keep thinking about it till sunday when the order mail expires and end up not buying it😂
@@Wicked.Artworks Well good luck deciding! Haha looking like my email is next week. I'm actually leaning more towards buying it now. A lot of jrpgs and indies on steam aren't actually on switch, plus there are backlog games I think I'd probably get through quicker if I could play them on a handheld (like Mass Effect Trilogy and the Nier games). It's definitely still a tough call, and getting the thing 6 months after launch does bring the hype down a little, for sure.
Shit I'm buying it regardless of whether I'm gonna keep it or not. My email should be here this month and if I don't want to keep it I will flip it during christmas.
@@drewbienewbie03xx81 yeah, but after ebay fees, taxes, and shipping costs it's not really worth the hassle anymore. Maybe you make 50 bucks. And that's a risk considering there's more and more out there now. That's my take anyway.
@@clark2109 I've been doing this for a long time with electronics, I was one of the guys everyone hated when 3000 series dropped. It's incredibly easy to flip either locally or on stockx, the profit margin is high, and if you are a frequent reseller on stockx platform the fees are minimal. Making around 500$ off of something just with a few clicks is pretty no brainer imo, plus that ups the amount or expense of the gifts my family gets for Christmas. Making 50$ shows that you really don't know what you're talking about.
My Steam Deck is on the way. Will be my first real foray into PC gaming as I mostly use a Mac for work stuff. Excited to start exploring this other side of gaming.
The games I am playing on the Deck these days are PERSONA 4, Ninja Gaiden, and soon to be Hades, Devil May Cry IV. Man !! Nearly 25 years of playing. It’s a great time to be alive, @Jake!!!
You know when you're really tired and you think you're raising your eyes open but you're just lifting your eyelids that's how Jake's looking today good though. But steam deck content please keep it coming well worth it appreciate it.
The Dream Deck has been life changing for me. I travel A LOT and I have a pretty decent gaming laptop, but being able to comfortably play a game while waiting on a flight, on a flight, or when just laying in bed where ever I am has been SO AWESOME! Games I have been playing s lot of recently are Gunfire Reborn, Splitgate, & Ni No Kuni II. I had Windows 11 installed with all the launchers, but it just robs the Steam Deck of what it really is. At least to me, it feels that way. I tend to enjoy it so much more when I'm on Steam OS.
Good timing Jake, i put my reservation on 6 days ago, now to wait until October to order it (probably) the wait is gonna kill me but i'm excited and i can't wait to get my hands on one of these :)
spider-man runs surprisingly well on the steam deck, gets 30+ without upscaling or res-scaling, and looks good enough on the 800p screen. gets some dips when the lighting is set to morning and you swing above the skyline, but after beating the game you can just set the time of day to noon and you don't really have that issue.
The thing about the battery life, If I am playing a handheld, I am usually only playing for a max of an hour and then taking a break or moving to something. I rarely travel and really only play my SteamDeck at coffee shops or spots around town I like to chill at. If I am playing a game for hours on end, I am probably at my PC or consoles. I never understand why handhelds are expected to output insane power AND insane battery life. I definitely think it could be better but it is fine for the scenarios where I play my Deck. Also great video! Love the content!
Some people like me play the Deck in my home, in the bed , on the couch but the battery life for me is perfect since after the battery drains to 50% I will plug in a 45 watt battery to charge it back to full then plug in the battery with a 45 watt adapter to fully charge it back up. Can last for many hours playing like this. I wouldn't want a heavier battery on my steam deck and rather use an exterior battery I can fit into my pocket.
I finally got my Deck a few days ago and am loving it. Over the past year since placing my reservation I've been holding off on several games to play them on Deck and now I can enjoy them on the toilet.
Getting my today! I've been waiting for over a year for this thing. Constantly checking for news updates and seeing if it will be available sooner. I'm just so stoked for this.
Don’t have a Steam Deck but I’m sooooo happy to hear you give a shoutout to Olli Olli World. I’m at least 30 hours on switch and I’m so close to beating the local legends scores and Mike’s challenges.
Finally got my Steam Deck last week. Been playing Cult of The Lamb a lot, also been playing Mass Effect 2 and RE Village. All of them work beautifully on the device. Couldn’t be happier so far.
2:20 and the issue with trackpad I noticed is that it doesn't hold input like a joystick will. This is probably part of what also held back the Steam Controller. It's definitely awesome to have it there I think if you want a game in which you use it a decent amount, then play Metal Gear Rising, it works as Blade Mode and makes for some wild slicing and dicing. But I feel like as an alternative to mouse and joystick, it's function as a trackpad just inherently gimps your overall control. It's an awesome addition still and I think in management sims or titles where it can be used in a more isometric camera angle setting, you can probably get better use of it. But as for 3rd person/first person shooters, it's just to unintuitive, as much as it mimics a mouse it just isn't one, you don't have precise control of it like you need to in those games and even in calibrated like a joystick, the fact that it doesn't hold input means you're constantly adjusting to move and look as opposed to just holding the stick.
The list of games you went through is just top class. Olli Olli World has been a dream on Steam Deck, legitimately the best (and only) skate based puzzle game!
I'm definitely looking at ordering one soon! My fiance loves playing sims on the PC and i have a few games i play on steam, plus there's nothing quite like being able to chill in bed all cozy like without having a heavy and hot laptop in bed with you, and still play some amazing games! Hell, even being able to play Project Zomboid while relaxing in bed sells it to me alone. Especially since i work night shift and don't usually get in until 2-4 in the morning. It'd be nice to be able to crawl into bed and play without all the hassle of a laptop.
I find myself playing a lot of dungeon crawler like games on it. I have always liked the binding of Isaac, but I find myself playing it more on the steam deck randomly at night. Also, Going under is another one I randomly fire up to play one quick dungeon and then go to work. Lastly, I have been trying to get back into gaming as a whole so right now using the deck to play through Jedi fallen order. But I am with you dude, the steam deck is like one of the best gaming purchases I have done in the last couple of years.
Valve customer service is top notch. When my ps5 broke I literally had to open a case with the better business bureau to get Sony to fix my ps5. It was a 5 month journey getting it fixed. My steam deck has a crack in the shell, and valve responded immediately and immediately sent me shipping labels and are giving me a brand new device.
My Steam Deck comes in this Wednesday! I'm very excited! The first game I will absolutely play first will be Mad Max and Vampire Survivors. Thanks for the recommendation of both Rollerdrome and OlliOlli World. I'll be sure to get both of those games to play on THE DECK. Cheers dude!
Same. A usb c dongle and a micro sd card are all I’ve felt the need to pick up. I’ve also had unsupported games run better out the box than playable games.
I got back into Formula 1 recently after years of not watching and I ended up buying F1 2021 for cheap recently, the Deck somehow got me hooked back into racing games even though I have a beast PC, I end up playing them more on the Deck than on my PC.
I've had mine since May and I have to say this has helped tremendously with the backlog, I have given days gone a second try and I have to say I'm 30 hours in and the game has really grown on me
Hey, I have my Steam Deck for around a week and so far I'm very happy with it. I basically straight away set the display refresh rate to 40Hz and locked the fps to 40 as well so the battery is quite excellent considering what it can do / run. I fin it VERY impressive that you can play AAA titles wherever you are, but me personally, I'd rather enjoy those sitting down at my PC with proper screen, resolution, details, refresh rate.. But it's certainly very good experience even on the Steam Deck. I mainly play "smaller" games that I might not even download on PC like Hollow Knight. That thing rocks. Also Viktor Vran, Torchlight or Mutant Year Zero are very enjoyable.
I love this thing. I can play literally anything on it. All my old retro games, up to my Switch games through Yuzu, and even my PS5 games through Chiaki. I do have to be on the same network to get that to work, but it's still super nice if my wife wants to go to bed and I can lay down with her so she can go to sleep, but I can still wind down with those games. Admittedly, it's taken some tinkering to get everything working, but I don't mind that at all. I can understand why others might not want that. If you're willing to put in the effort though, it pays off incredibly well!
I have so much fun just pushing in the trackpads, the feedback on them just feels great IMO. I dont need to use them ever but they're in a great spot for me to press something while waiting in cutscenes or an enemy turn (specifically SRW30)

If you’re on the fence over the deck-get it! It’s like a Switch but with enough horsepower to play games you wished would’ve landed on the Switch.
Thanks Luke!
They said they will start delivering at the end of their year hope I can have it as a Xmas present lol.
u wont regret it , trust
Been playing Rollerdrome and Trek to Yomi on my Steam Deck and absolutely love it! Looking forward to future versions of the hardware, but I've been blown away so far.
oh yeah I played most of Yomi on it and it ran great!
Loving it so much. The emudeck was such a surprise for me. I totally got this with the intention to play AAA games but I find myself playing things like MGS3, LOTR The Third Age, etc. Absolutely loving it.
Loving mine! Emudeck is absolutely insane. Having every console so streamlined on a handheld is just wild.
@@Cyko.. Question. Was there an option to play old madden games on the Emulation for PS2?
@@Omega_419 of course. You can play anything
@@Omega_419 I got Madden 2004 installed on mine and it works perfectly.
I'm wondering about Deck 5, that's probably going to be extremely good!
Handheld gaming is insanely and always been really cool. It's amazing that it's finally close to being able to compete with home consoles.

Personally hate the joysticks, had to get some grips for them otherwise they're too small and too slippery
I signed up in February and was consistently in the Q4 group until the update a few weeks ago, and I bought it today! I also finally got my hands on a PS5 this week so I am completely overwhelmed with new gaming possibilities.
I just got mine and i'm super excited!!!!! :D
"I want my child to not be glued to my ipad 24/7."

Thanks!
My wife loves it to as I no longer have to be in my gsme room to play lol
what you got same photo as me
It must have been how much Skill Up I watch that had the youtube algorithm lead me to you and I couldn't be happier.
I'm glad I subbed to you Jake, I just love your whole vibe and voice lol.
Steam deck is amazing. Still can’t believe reviewers where so hard on it. I love mine
How is the modding optons if youve explored that?
Had my Steam Deck for a bit over a month and I love it. Great for breaks and playing older titles in the ol' backlog or even newer AAA games like the recent Sony exclusives. Metro Exodus even runs on this which just blows my mind. Played through most of Arkham Knight and recently been hitting Gears Tactics and The Ascent pretty hard. The Deck has definitely exceeded my expectations.
I gotta say, Sekiro, as a fairly tight, replayable, and snappy game, its been my absolute favorite on the deck
Cheers to you! You lucky for today's package🏆 Hit me up 📥
Mine just shipped out, can't wait to get it!
Im right there with you love my steam deck to death, playing it a lot more than I thought I would. Playing a ton of retro titles via Emulation Station love that front end. I’ve been playing The Long Dark, it’s the perfect “play for a little bit before bed then save” survival game 👍
I played it when it was in early access. Is it worth revisiting years later?
@@JakeBaldino if you’re into survival games, definitely, I think it’s still on gamepass too
Definitely, it’s just an easy game to drop right in to and it plays perfectly on the deck…they’ve added new regions and mechanics so the developers are really keeping up with the game too

Man I love my deck, I found myself in the steam store alot more lately buying shit. I have been doing the dual boot to win 10 and steam os. It has been great, I can't wait to play saints row next week on it.
How’s dual booting into windows treating you?
@@negativeland5207 actually pretty good, windows 10 seems to work alot better than 11. But I can't complain, it works very well, I was just playing mad max, I'm using a 512gb micro sd and it's been great. Linux has just been a pain in desktop mode, so I use windows for work and just my everyday cpu stuff and gaming has been well on the windows side as well. I find myself switching back to steam os when I play alot my indie games like vampire survivors and not tonight. Steam os is great for emulation as well, emudeck is incredible.
why do people use windows does the steam os has some performance issues or smthing?

Can't wait.
I’m exactly at that moment you described at the end😂
Got the order mail today and i still don’t know if i should buy it or not, tbh if i had a chance to buy it when it came out and everyone was talking about it, i would buy it without thinking.
"Hey, man. This is my Deck."
"Pass me the deck" XD

Glad I found this channel. That Roller Drone game recommendation was fire, going to pick it up now!
“sometimes i just wanna go for a swing, and cheer up” the most relatable line this man has ever said
spider-man runs surprisingly well on the steam deck, gets 30+ without upscaling or res-scaling, and looks good enough on the 800p screen. gets some dips when the lighting is set to morning and you swing above the skyline, but after beating the game you can just set the time of day to noon and you don't really have that issue.
Just got on factor last week AND got on the deck waitlist, great video for me right now
Gonna check out the mad max video next!
I finally got my Deck a few days ago and am loving it. Over the past year since placing my reservation I've been holding off on several games to play them on Deck and now I can enjoy them on the toilet.

Oh my God it's the real Jake Baldino 😱

I literally just watched your old video jake after getting mine !
Very nice timing

Jake's so excited to tell us about the deck that he said "raw dogging" and kept it in the edit.
I've had mine since May and I have to say this has helped tremendously with the backlog, I have given days gone a second try and I have to say I'm 30 hours in and the game has really grown on me
the only thing that bugs me about the device is how large the bezel is around the screen
I got a surprise package for you, hit me up
Jake, great video as always.

I cant believe ive missed this channel for so long... im here now at least
Glad you found it 🤔 👍
I love this thing.
Just got my steam deck a few weeks ago and haven’t touched my other consoles since. I LOVE this console!
I have so much fun just pushing in the trackpads, the feedback on them just feels great IMO. I dont need to use them ever but they're in a great spot for me to press something while waiting in cutscenes or an enemy turn (specifically SRW30)
