    I own a Tudor BB GMT that I bought 11 months ago ( with oyster bracelet) and I'm so happy with it in every single way. My wrist is almost 8 inches and since I wear it well adjusted to the wrist, I have no problems with the weight of the head or the total weight of the watch included the bracelet. That said, the Uncle Seiko Jubilee bracelet looks very nice on it and I don't rule out buying one to rotate it with the original.
    Very good video and many thanks for sharing with us.

    I love my US jubilee bracelet. You are correct in that there is no comparison in quality, but the jubilee is so much more comfortable. There are articles and people have got the factory Tudor bracelet clasp on the jubilee, and replace the uncle seiko clasp. I plan to do that next. I wish Tudor would have offered it with a quality jubilee bracelet from the factory. Great review.

    The answer is the Uncle Seiko fitted with the stock Tudor clasp. US now sells the jubilee without a clasp and with a direct fit link to the stock clasp. It looks and feels amazing! Feels like an OEM jubilee now!

    great video , I was looking for strap ideas for my Tudor GMT and come across this video.Placed my order and arrived UK in 4 days. I ordered the all brushed version. I was concerned about quality and the aesthetics not being an OEM and not being of a Satin finish as per the original. However when you pair it with original Tudor clasp is a game changer the strap become a perfect match giving that vintage look and it is so comfortable. I have a 7.5’ wrist and after removing a few links and adjustment the watch does not move , clasp is in the center and have room for wrist expansion. All in all very happy and and the watch is having more wrist time. Credit to you and Uncle Seiko .

    I had no clue that the 58 bracelet was over $800, that's insane!! My Aqua Terra bracelet cost me $700 and imo the quality is better than my 58 bracelet. I've been debating getting a jubilee from Uncle Seiko for my Navy 58 to give it more of a snowflake look. Excellent video btw, gained a sub from me!

      Thanks for the support Jacob. Yes I have the president style Uncle Seiko bracelet for my navy BB 58. I really like the look of it. It is a retro inspired bracelet so there is no safety clasp, but I'm overall happy with it for the price.

    Great video, I have an Uncle Seiko jubilee (fully brushed) on my BB GMT, however modded it to use the OEM clasp with paired with the jubilee. Now it’s perfect for me. The smaller links of the jubilee help get a better sizing (plus the 3 micros on the OEM clasp) and I get to use the excellent OEM ceramic bearings and Tudor branded clasp. Could not be happier

    I’m really debating trying the US jubilee on my GMT. I got it with the oyster and go between three straps, oyster a blue/red strip heavy NATO and leather. I love the jubilee on my 40 year old Rolex so for the ~$100 I was going to try but I think you helped me out a lot, I’ll pass on the US variant. By the way, changing the band/bracelet is more analogous to change wheels and tires than changing the engine. Changing the caliber would be like that. Sorry, I had to mention that. Keep doing the nice work.

    • @garyjohn1956
      @garyjohn1956 Год назад

      Follow up, did get the US jubilee with polished center, think I should have gone brushed. That said, I swapped the Tudor clasp and it’s not bad. I do like it better than the fake rivets. For me, we’ll worth the $100, since I swapped the clasp also. Anyone want to trade for polished center let me know.

    Also the crystal is the most durable part of your watch its mot like glasses where you never set it face down. I would go as far as to say you should always lay it face down, as the stainless will scratch from dirt on the table.

    • @burbinghard
      @burbinghard  Год назад

      The stainless can be brushed/polished. The sapphire is the most scratch resistant part, but it’s highly brittle. I have chipped sapphire before so I don’t know that I would call it the most durable. The steel an take a much harder blow.

    Thanks for the review! I am a bit confused though as you said 'US bracelet is a bit too light and thus the balance is a bit off', then you also said 'US bracelet is overall more comfortable'. Which is it?

    • @burbinghard
      @burbinghard  2 года назад

      Both. The bracelet on the US is little lighter so the watch head is a little heavy. But the way the jubilee bracelet articulates more it still makes it more comfortable overall. The past week I have been wearing it on the US bracelet exclusively.

      @burbinghard  2 года назад +1

      Yes the Spring Bar Tweezers are a must for tight fitting bracelet end links. I used this one: www.esslinger.com/horofix-spring-bar-tweezers/

  • @dino2400
    @dino2400 2 года назад

    I find the 'balance' question an interesting one. Why is the balance an issue when comparing with the original Tudor bracelet, but not with the Tudor leather or Tudor Nato strap? That should pose a ' balance' issue as well? I reserved my Tudor GMT, and am awaiting delivery. But I probably will try some water-resistant straps (it remains a diver, right?) like waterproof leather, or rubber or canvas... but probably not a replacement bracelet (unless I really cannot get it to fit comfortably). So how about the balance issue in those cases?

    • @burbinghard
      @burbinghard  2 года назад

      Yes it does. I think the watch head is too heavy for the nato strap option as well. You can mitigate some of the perceived imbalance if the strap fits snug enough.

      Steel Reef doesn’t make bracelets, just the screws and the quick adjustment link. Their prices for a link are almost the cost of an entire Uncle Straps steel bracelet. I have debated trying their easy link but probably won’t due to the high cost.

    • @burbinghard
      @burbinghard  2 года назад

      Sorry to hear that. Several people had that issue with the early versions. Tudor extended the warranty on the pieces post sale to correct the issue. Are you sure your warranty is expired?

    • @bigmacdaddy1234
      @bigmacdaddy1234 2 года назад

      @@burbinghard The issue is still going on in 2022. People on the Rolex forum are complaining about brand new ones with the same issue. Tudor extended the warranty for 18 months if you bought the watch between 2018 and 2019. However, extending the warranty does not fix the date wheel issue. My watch has been repaired three times over two years and they keep sending it back to me broken. Also, each time I send it, they keep it for four months. It has been in their repair shop longer than on my wrist. My AD suggested that I give up and move on to a better watch that actually works. So I bought a Ball GMT Hydrocarbon. It is built like Thor's hammer and works perfect.
