2:16 amp only 2:45 tonex one as OD into amp front 4:00 tonex one as OD and preamp into amp fx return In my opinion using tonex one as preamp (without cab IR) into amp fx loop sounded worse than real amp (obviously), it has lost one dimension in dynamics. I can hear the potential of the sounds of the TONEX but it lacks top end (and sounds a bit muffled) when I connect it directly with the Jack to my shitty speaker. Low end is ok, but a bit muddy. Didn't try it directly on a PA yet, but for coming practice I wanna be prepared! Hope you can answer (or any viewer reading this). Thanks!!
@@JayBruceWorld I fixed it. Sounds much tighter and clearer through a DI directly into PA Speaker. Because I plugged in directly, I am using it with IR active.
@@ThePhantomnaut Just like that? because i have Tight Metal Pro II preamp pedal which comes with it's own FX Loops (you can google it) and thought: well i think for a pedal to run as preamp in the FX Loop Return of Amp, may need it's own FX Loop to run Delays and Reverbs...well, that's what i thought initially but never realize it was as simple as running them after the preamp.
I took a look at Amptweaker’s pedal and if you are using the ToneX One as the dedicated preamp followed by the delay and reverb, you can use the effects loop of Tight Metal Pro. You can also just put the ToneX One before the TMP’s input and make sure that pedal is as clean as possible to make use of the One’s amps. It really depends on what you are really looking for. My experience with preamp pedals without an effects loop is preamp to delay/reverb to my power amp. Very likely not gonna change when I get my One unit.

I haven't experienced doing that but I would guess make sure you have a spare out for your interface, configure one of the outputs in ToneX to that spare out, and connect that to the effects return of the amp. Hopefully the line level signal output doesn't affect anything negatively. As for the other concern, it depends on what you need.
