Great timing😊 I'm on my coffee break. Awesome tones🤘
As always excellent video Ola
Thank you Ola! This is so cool.
Awesome demo Ola, really honest review 🤘🏻
Very cool of Mesa to do this.
Wow, came for the chugs but that clean tone is gorgeous ❤
🤘🏻😃🤘🏻man you always bring the best vibes brother keep on jammin....the most entertaining dude on RUclips
Absolutely loving the testament riffs
ToneX is the only ampsim plugin I was really blown away by!
I'll definitely get the physical version with the Mesa pack :)
try the STL tones Josh Middleton Rectifier and 6505 also a XXX
@@harshtruth9148 I want something physical that will do the best job of modelling the feel of American amps. The British stuff will get covered by a Friedman IRX
@@Mr.Goldbar that Friedman amp pedal is very nice.
Bingo. STL actually EQ their shit correctly. @@harshtruth9148
Sounds killer!! Even with stock i.r.
More bass, more gain approx 9 min in is the sound! The Triple Rectifier after is also great. Great representation of the classic Rectos. However, I'd love them to also include the Multiwatts and Badlander.
This guitar looks very cool!
Sounds better than my 120watt Dual-Channel Marshall.
Wow technology has come a long ways.Sounds great I want one.
Dual Rec sounds great.
Tried some of these sounds out yesterday, pretty good but I still think there a better user made captures that people have uploaded themselves and you can access for free (if you have the Tonex plugin). Some of these guys really know what they're doing and got some amazing metal tone captures. More than i'll ever need.
Who would you recommend for the best free Mesa captures?
Sounds badass
BRILLIANT.
Always on time for my lunch break🫡🤘🏼
Clean sounds good
Awesome
Hi Ola! as Always I love you man!
I will always love you too random internet stranger!
@@OlaEnglund what about me?😃
Hej lets alla love each other in the lort hole. Perkele
@@OlaEnglundIt's been a pleasure following your channel for 10 years since you made the "Monster of Hi-Gain" video (Premier Guitar channel, I guess)! Did you remember, dear Ola? It was killer!😎
Hey ola, loved the video as always, I just have a quick question, I’ve seen that you restocked on the chop chop blitz guitar, once it sells out will it keep coming back in stock once in a while as I’d love to save up and buy this guitar for myself. Love from Poland 🇵🇱 🤘
Super HOT input...should be dialed back!
Blown away
This sounds pretty good actually, I wasn’t impressed with the tonex tones at first but maybe I need to take a second look. Thanks!
Howdy Ola, question for plugging into Tonex. I've been tweaking the input gain from Tonex (and other amp sims) to get it right, but i was seeing some of your chugs were red lighting.
Are you just keeping it at unity and letting it ride? Interfaces and such differ, but was curious since hearing about that input stuff in another video
The Line 6 Helix and Helix Native do the thing you mentioned at 10:25. Works at home with Native and move the presets on the Helix to go on the road.
i dont think theres a better bang for your buck than the helix
It's actually the main reason I still own it. I have an HX Stomp inside my band's rack, and use Helix Native at home to track guitars. Once I get a good tone, I upload it to the HX. There is no better option for this combination as of this moment, specially because of the size.
Good captures just feel much better to me.
It has same the familiarity for sure. But really, it sounded like plugin. Been playing Mesas for 20 years now, so I’d say I recognize the tone instantly.
Thank you Ola for beeing Ola ❤️
I love it
Good sounds for a modeler. What was that weird ducking sound after you loaded your IR? It sounded like some ducking compression.
I been watching your old vids
When you were dressed in yellow
You were playing vendetta 2 HD
It’s sounds good as anything today
Is that an overlay of video on audio so as to minimize the inherent delay, as opposed to a live capture? My Axe II has been killing me with pick-to-ear lag. It's milliseconds, but I can't help, but hear that response just lagging :(
Out of all the amps i tried on the tonex a random dual rectifier i downloaded is what ive been using at practice. Ive found a few that are better than the old valvestate already
Can you do another amp in the room vid series ola its been awhile since you did that series loved hearing you play certain metal songs with mics placed everywhere
Hey Ola, I just picked up your "The One" IR for your shop and it sounds great with my Neural plugin. Just wondering if you offer this one for sale on your shop?
I have the mercurial audio reaxsis. I love that plug in. Not really big on the rectifier.
Awesome! Hey Ola, can you pleeeeez get Richard Kruspe on your show to talk about the early IR days and killer TONES??? That dude did a lot to bring this new dimension of metal tone into digital and he deserves an appearance! RAMMSTEIN 🤘🤘
Good day, Ola.
Sounds decent. I'm still buying their software to capture my own rigs though, which I think they're superior at judging by other RUclips clips.
Sounds mix ready with the overdrive pedal
Ive been thinking about getting the tonex but now the new two notes opus came out so Im not sure. Ive been using the genome plugin and the tonex plugin (freeware) and seems to me that the genome has better sound, the tonex sounds a bit gritty. Not sure if the pedal tonex has better quality than the plugin. Any recommendations? Please. The opus or tonex? Thanks community and Ola!
Sounds awesome. That being said, 3:50 is basically my one gripe with profilers.
Did someone put a compressor with a slow release on the audio track? When you're using your own IR, I'm noticing a momentary volume drop on the chugs.
10:30 Dude, what! Amplitube 5 has been out for 3 years now 🤣🤣🤣 It's terrific for experimenting with pedal placement, signal chains, how every piece of gear interacts with each other etc. But some of their high gain models have much less gain than they should have (looking at you, Mesa!), and for some fuck-all reason, the three standard mics (Dynamic 57, Condensers 87 and 414) are horribly out of phase with all the other mics - and as of now, they haven't gotten around to addressing that. 3 years now...
Was the the direct sound or were we hearing it through your microphone?
The little chuckle after tallica....😂
Found out today that the Schecter guitar i ordered 2 years ago isnt coming because they no longer make it in left handed... 😥
Sounds really good! Amplitube is actually a viable replacement of hardware these days. Geez it sounds fucking excellent, and that is without you tweaking anything.
The Randall Warhead in Tonex is a Beast.
Cheers for testing this s$%t Ola.
Excellent video! I can play lamb of god with any with these amps? Without changing the parameters...
I saw a tonex for $350.... very tempting
That first 3 seconds of the video was hilarious 😂
The Positive Grid Bias Amp head will do the same thing with loading a preset you like onto the actual hardware as well, but it falls way behind due to the lack of effects. PG missed a big trick with that mistake. Looks like ToneX really took advantage of that
Tortex pick, by the sound of it. 😊
Doesn't Helix have it where you can move sounds from plugin to unit?
How come Ola didn't try Empress Heavy Menace?
should the input clip the whole time?
Love you swedish man
Hey ola! Are kittie using you IR on their new song?
which one is better this one or the neural dsp mesa boogie mark 2c+ suite ? can u do a comparison video on these two
Well this one has a handful of snapshots you can’t tweak but more amps. The neural one has 2 different iic+ amps that you can tweak and adjust.
Judging of this video the Neural lol, the 2C+ in here sounds shit
Yeah it really doesnt sound like a mark series, I have one and the bass response is nothing alike the one in this video
🤘🏽🤘🏽
Build your sounds in the plugin and export it to the device? Helix can do that for years now. I mean it costs more than double the price, but it can definitely do exactly that^^
I‘m really tempted by the ToneX with the Mesa Pack. I use Amplitube CS with the Dual Rectifier and 2x12 Rectifier Cab at home for years now and it sounds really good🤘
Hey! Very nice. Sorry in advance if you made it already, but if not, could you make a short video where you show how you plug your guitar to your computer? What do you use? Thanks a lot 😊.
No worries, there are plenty of videos out there showing this. What you need is some sort of an external audio interface. If you're a beginner I highly suggest the UAD Volt 1 that has a single microphone and guitar input. It's fairly well priced for its quality.
When I'm doing videos at the office (like in this video for instance) I'm using a bigger audio interface called the Apogee Ensemble. But in general it works the same as the smaller audio interfaces except that it has more inputs/outputs/features. Good luck man!
Based reply to a beginner learning the ropes, that's cool of you man!@@OlaEnglund
Where can I find the All Aboard the Chug IR?
Minor correction...the Tonex Pedal doesn't play any role in capturing. You need the Tonex Max app and a) Audio interface and reamp box B) Audio interface and the Tonex capture box.
Imagine the cost of all the real mesa equivalents. A mkiic+ from the 80s alone can go up to $10,000 USD.
TESTAMENT hell yea
Need to test with a mix.
You should consider doing a Godless Endeavor cover with the vocals cut out by Nevermore? 🤷 just a thought 💭
😁😁😁😁😁😁👍
Where i can Download the Amps bzw are they in the Community?
where do you get your momentum dude?
This sounds way better than the fender tonemaster even with its new update. Sad considering the price difference
I'm new to guitar plug-ins... how the hell do you guys decide which ones to buy? There are so many... it's overwhelming.
I'm also confused by all the "ecosystems." Like to use this pack in my DAW, I have to buy a separate Tonex application or something?
you can load 3rd party plugins as a VST or AAX in any DAW. then just create a new track, load the plugin as an instrument and you're good to go
choosing and discovering is part of the fun I find. I usually try to download them first and try them out, if they are baller, I buy them
Currently very happy with Guitar Rig 7.
349usd for the tonex pedal/99 for the plugins VS 2000usd for quad cortex+119usd for plugins and my QC STILL can NOT integrate with the NDSP plugins!
Where can I buy the t-shirt?
I own an OG 2 channel Triple Rectifier 😎🤘
And....a full stack of oversized OG Rectifier cabinets 🤘
Lucky bastard!
@@andriealinsangao613 yeah! It's incredible! Bought it all around 2001.
@Twobarpsi the V30's around that time are highly regarded
@@christian_silo yeah I believe it!
Wish they did a better job of what the 2C+ was known for, but they sound pretty good otherwise. Kinda just makes me wanna go out and hunt down an old 2 Channel Dual Rectifier though.
A triple came up in my area for cheap recently and I just couldn’t buy it at the time i was so bummed.
I think with all the digital models, it’s best to use them to APPROXIMATE the tone you want, but not expect it to REPLICATE it. I love my Diezel model, but having never played one, I have no idea if it’s accurate or not. And it really doesn’t matter.
Anyone buy this? Can you confirm it sounds just as good as this demo?
Could we get a Badlander capture for tonex from you you can make a cool video to see you do it
can you get Master Of Puppets sound from this?
I tried it and I think it's good but not great. Mercuriall Rectofire, ML 5 & Fluff offer better tone (to my taste) for each individual amp. If you were to buy these during one of the many sales they are also roughly the same price. I was very excited about the release but it is a pass for me.
i would put …And justice for all tone
Also sounds like they missed the Mark with the Mark IIC+ here, pun intended.
These tones pair well with coffee. I checked.
They're "instances"?
Your Mesa tones sound much better
The fact that the GEQ on the IIC+ is fixed is an epic fail IMO.
Un momentous por favuaro
Will we get a Friday party ola
Also these model kick ass
Maybe a little bit later, I'm off to my mother in law. So if I do it, it might be a little later than usual...
@@OlaEnglund all good would love to watch at any time I got shcool off also happy to say my tooth is still good not sure if you remember I had the filling in my tooth
And me and my dad are starting a metal pod cast a would love for you to come on some time
Hola Ola! I love you more than these strangers!
Almost bought this. Glad I didn’t. Tonenet has better for free
Its sounds good, but you were clipping all the demo :/
I think Mesa is underdeveloped in the metal aspect, I especially disliked Fixed EQ. My friend also said it didn't sound tight enough. It would be nice to see a review of the Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ Suite from Neural DSP.
Please compare to Genone by Two Tones - especially the NAM blocks.
Amazing! NeuralDSP has been promising to do this with the Quad Cortex for years now, but while they’ve been fucking around and not accomplishing anything, IK/ToneX just threw it in their faces. Strong work!
Why does Ola have an Italian accent in this video?
Hi ola, will you testing tc ampworx high gain series??
You cant just do captures with the unit.
The tonex by itself has no impedance matching features at all. You need to buy an reampbox.
input clipping. ola does not care.
still sounds absolute Juicy 😅❤
That was the first thing I noticed haha. All sims sound terrible if your input is too high. The other demos of this plugin sound great. Maybe he could do a reupload, but he probably wouldn’t have time.
