Good morning from Angkor Wat temple. Wow awesome place to visiting. Your video is great very interesting place to exploring with your video. I'm very enjoyable to watching your video, great history, great music, and very good view. I'm very appreciated with your great video. Great video creator channel thanks you so much for your sharing please have a wonderful day from Angkor Wat temple.
Absolutely a wonderful place to explore. So many amazing houses. Also, lovely gardens and beautiful flowers. Love all the mini houses. Also, nice historic house tour. Thank you for giving us this enjoyable tour.
Melbourne is quite a pretty city and due to the discovery of gold close by, it's historically been wealthy city, the majority of the old historic homes are still private residences to it's nice to see 2 that are owned by the National Trust. Thanks for watching!
The Fitzroy Gardens are pretty. Both Ripponlea and Como are fine example of our earliest mansions. We have had many picnics in these gardens. Thank you for sharing. 👍🏼🤠🙏🏼❤
I had been to the Fitzroy Gardens before so I knew they were lovely, Rippon Lea was a surprise as it was my first time visiting, I liked the gardens there more than the Como Estate. Thanks for watching!
The flowers and plants in the Conservatory are so beautiful, it's so magical inside. The historic homes are beautiful too. Very nice garden, trees and landscaping.... this is really cool. Thanks for this tour my friend.👍👍☺☺
It's amazing that you can tour both Ripponlea Estate and Como House for free! Beautiful miniature houses are also beautifully decorated! I want to tour this beautiful place, too! Your channel is awesome!
Beautiful flowers in the conservatory. It was interesting to see the home that Capt. Cooks parents built. The Ripponlea Estate and Como House are both treasures. The area may not look like Lake Como but it is beautiful. The gardens were lovely. It's amazing to see the modern skyline so close behind the area. Loved exploring with you! Thanks for bringing us along.
Cook's cottage intrigues me as it was moved from Yorkshire, taken apart and everything labeled I assume and then put back together like a giant 3D jigsaw in the Fitzroy Gardens! I enjoy viewing historic homes, the suburb where Como House is located is even now a wealthy part of Melbourne, the road the tram goes along is full of nice cafes and trendy shops. Thanks to the goldfields not far from Melbourne, the city has some impressive buildings and houses!
Hello friend 👋 such a lovely sharing from Melbourne ❤️ .It was nice to the wonderful old buildings and beautiful flowers 💐 in those gardens. Greetings from England 🇬🇧 Beth and Simon 👍🙋❤️
Oh my... FAVOURITE PART of the video was the model garden village. That is ADORABLE! And the little structures seem much more durable than the ones in Bourton on the Water... which always seem to be falling apart.
I really liked the model village, I didn't even know it was in the Fitzroy Gardens, I just stumbled across the sign that said Model Tudor Village with an arrow. I liked the story behind it too, that it was sent to Melbourne to thank the people of the city for sending food to London in WW2. The concrete structures do look quite solid, the man who made them, made them indestructible since they were being shipped to Australia!
Wow! Melbourne is absolutely beautiful. I would love to visit someday. These gardens are so lovely and the flowers are absolutely stunning. So pretty inside with that lovely dining room, all so grandeur. Love all of the Victorian decor. Beautiful video!
Melbourne does have some beautiful old buildings thanks to the wealth that came into the city through the discovery of gold about an hour inland. It's nice that they're being cared for and appreciated. Thanks for watching!
Wow those flowers in the conservatory are gorgeous. Captain "Cook" house is cute rebuild. Love the model homes. Amazing to see gardens like these with the historic houses.👍 Cheers to you from that place. 🤠
Great video keep it up very well stay blessed always have a wonderful day stay connected to dear friend My Full Support excellent video 📸👉🔔👈👉⭐⭐⭐👈💯💯💯💯👌👌
I love gardens too, that's why I enjoy all the National Trust properties in the UK. Have you visited Kent? Sissinghurst is great to visit. Melbourne does have nice gardens in the spring, it's miserable in winter!! Let's just say British people feel at home there!
The Fitzroy Gardens are a public park in Melbourne so the city gardeners look after it. Ripponlea and Como House and Garden are National Trust so it's the National Trust volunteers who do the gardening there. It's a real labour of love for them as they give up their time to do it and don't get paid.
New subscribers here. We just finished a video on Melbourne as well. Love the colors in the conservatory - so pretty in spring! You do a great job with production and narration.

Whether you're a local or a visitor to Melbourne, this video is a great resource for discovering the rich history and culture of the city. Wow those flowers are stunning. Ah we learnt about Captain Cook in Whitby last year, so cool to see the cottage. Melbourne looks stunning. So many green spaces. Cheers 🍻
Captain Cook is a major historic person in Australia so I love the fact that a wealthy person in the 1930s bought and took apart the cottage his parents built and then rebuilt it in a garden 1200 miles away!
Wow 🤩 what a gorgeous conservatory so colourful! Oo you have a captain cooks cottage too such close connections to us we are often doing walks in and around Great Ayton. The model village is lovely! Amazing stately homes and great your pass covers 🇬🇧 homes too! What a lovely place for events! Great history thanks for sharing 👍❤
So good, I loved this historic tour and the flowers in that conservatory were so beautiful. The model village was amazing to see, one never been to one but would like to . Really liked Cooks cottage too, really interesting and that 1847 house was stunning ( can't remember the name !) But it was good to look around inside. The Stables cafe looked great for afternoon tea too ! Really enjoyed this :) ~ Anna
Como House (the 1847 house) is well used, the day I was there, they had a fashion parade of 1960s vintage fashions in the ballroom. It looked like it had been a lot of fun as people were dressed up for it too! The house tour I was on was the late afternoon one so we were given a quick look in the ballroom as they were packing up. Thanks for watching!
Some interesting places to visit. I was unaware of the Cook family home having been rebuilt in Melbourne. We have only had a couple of nights in Melbourne and there is much, obviously, we did not see. Would love to get there again.
Melbourne does have something for everyone, I went there for a conference and then thought I might as well be a tourist and stayed on an extra day. It was a friend of mine who suggested the gardens and historic homes knowing those would be the things I would be most interested in. I'm not all that interested in the Sporting Fixtures, the markets or artisanal coffees in gritty laneways!
A lot of former British colonies have a National Trust, Canada has one, the New Zealand one is called the QEII National Trust. The good thing about them is if you join one they have reciprocal deals with the other National Trust Associations. I get free entry into the UK and Scottish National Trust properties with my South Australian National Trust membership. There's a US one too, called The National Trust for Historic Preservation. According to the Australian National Trust site, Australian membership will get you free entry into their properties as well.
The conservatory was MAGNIFICENT!!! And I was interested to hear that you pronounce that word more like an American than a Briton. That is unusual for an Australian pronunciation.;-)
I have a weird accent since English isn't my first language and I was taught to speak English 'properly' once we moved to Australia. I can remember my British friend in primary school (in Australia) telling me not to 'speak posh!' My accent was far worse, years ago I heard a recording of myself and I sounded like the cross between the Queen and a BBC newsreader! I also worked with North Americans for a few years in Japan, and that changed the way I speak as well. Now my pronunciation of words is just confusing. Recording these voiceovers I've also discovered I can't pronounce 'property' correctly, I keep having to go back and correct it!
Wishing you lots of love, health and success! listen, the sound of autumn, The cricket flaps its wings, It is the rhyme of saying goodbye to the balcony. Rows of wild geese catch up to the white clouds, Sow a warm exhortation; A gust of autumn wind blows across the fields, Send a harvest song. listen, into autumn, Into this vast concert hall, You go and listen to Qiu's voice carefully. the sound of autumn, in every leaf, in each flower, in every drop of water, In every unfolding grain. listen, the sound of autumn, came hastily from afar, Hurry away to the distance. listen, We heard the voice of Autumn. 回覆

@@theresabigwideworld2632 LOL! I have not really visited Kent yet, but Ian has planned a wonderful tour of the county for us this summer! Can't wait!
the plants and flowers must take some looking after
