Nice. Like the way he hasnt chased big barra numbers, but kept it drivable on the circuit. See guys .... there is more to motorsport than a 400m strip of tarmac.
Oh yeah they have especially scince people found out the intechs are supper dirt cheap and easy and cheap to upgrade due to not being doc's unlike the intechs sohc want to get a ed xr6 build the motor and once I get off my p's turbo it or v8 swap it
Bloody love it bro, I had three AUs, and I regret getting rid of my xr6 sedan, I am trying to find a good AU xr6 sedan again so I could do this to it, but I own a BA xr6t sedan and I'm been doing this to it though
Love the AU falcon, i've had 2 AU's both tickfords, 2000 AU XR6 ute in galaxy blue and 2001 series 2 AU XR8 in phantom, both manuals. Good to see a AU used for time a attack race car, especially with a barra heart.
I used to hate the look of the AU but over the years it’s aged much better than the VT equivalent in my opinion, coming from an ex Holden LS owner who now drives an FG XR6 Turbo lol
AUDOIN is correct about the AU's chasis. Ford went backwards with that Control Blade Independent rear suspension from BA to FGX to save money but drivers from Europe complained it didn't quite have the chassis dynamics necessary to take on the BMW M division and Mercedes AMG. Had the rear track (1547 mm) of the AU been designed wider than it's front track (1566 mm) , FORD would have been on the money to address this handling deficiency.Although that said, all can be forgiven when you see non-XR AUs drift with its controversial front end styling and wats linkage live rear axle (weight saver!).
He's spot on I reckon, AUs chassis inspire confidence and have a nice underrated feel, I get what he means about power, Mmm makes me jealous I have manual 5.0ltr Windsor ute, I'd love to make something out of this, retaining the Windsor 🤔😊
Love the car mate , I'm a Au series 3 owner and full on ford lover , mate how hard was it to fit the Ba bf Manual pebble box to the au ? Love your style fuck the haters . Ford power for ever .
yep can confirm a good set of tyres and dialed in suspension and good kit of brakes is more enjoyable than a gazillion horsepower and no grip, no brakes and crappy suspension
The original plan was to just go a stock barra and 6 speed in a sleeper set up. Nothing fancy. So the single cam wouldn't do the power and reliability as cheap as the barra. But once I got hooked on racing that all changed..haha
Thats what the truck weigh bridge said. I'd guess the sunroof, the barra turbo, the T56, extra fuel systems/coolers/piping, wheels actually weigh a little more too. Im 100kgs flat. Not hard to add 300kgs in parts and fluids.
Sunroof. T56 swap. Barra turbo swap with all its extra bits all over. Its got far wider wheels and tyres, way bigger brakes, 8mm think alloy under trays. Plus with a 100kg driver added in. It hit 1900kg on a truck weigh bridge.
BORING. Clickbait Title should have said "Interview" or "Rant". Absolutely NOTHING TO SEE here, he doesn't even start the bloody thing... left alone show it moving. 👎👎👎
A genuine Aussie bloke doing his thing. Gotta love that!
True aussie icon 👍modern day Valiant 😉, heaps of 6 cylinder power and can't kill em 👌. Long Live The AU ✊. Thanks for sharing 👍
#AUTHEWORLD 💪💪💪
I like where this guy is coming from. Suspension and brakes 1st, get it right, add powahs last. Well done sir.
I actually think this au is the cleanest au I've seen I love it
Look at street machine's yt scotty got a flex fuel au and it's one of the cleanest you will find
I love the look of it especially the fitment and wheels.
Thats the best au I've ever seen nice work mate
I.H Hape I've turned mine into sorta look alike cop car if you're interested
Dude, what's wrong with your dog?
She just jumps around alot
Nice. Like the way he hasnt chased big barra numbers, but kept it drivable on the circuit. See guys .... there is more to motorsport than a 400m strip of tarmac.
Still have pictures of this car from an "au" meet early this year, cars even better in person. Great video great car
Love the car. AUs seemed to of aged well!
They say designs that aren't instantly appealing age better! To me VT/VX Commodores of the same era look bland and really dated now.
Oh yeah they have especially scince people found out the intechs are supper dirt cheap and easy and cheap to upgrade due to not being doc's unlike the intechs sohc want to get a ed xr6 build the motor and once I get off my p's turbo it or v8 swap it
AU XR is such a cool looking car
Just stumbled onto this and what a cool video of a iconic AU Falcon, even here in New Zealand most have heard of this car
Bloody love it bro, I had three AUs, and I regret getting rid of my xr6 sedan, I am trying to find a good AU xr6 sedan again so I could do this to it, but I own a BA xr6t sedan and I'm been doing this to it though
Great interview with an unpretentious and humble owner doing it his way.The joey was a nice touch. All the best to you!
Great car mate
You did a great job, ausome !!
I painted and blasted that tug boat at the start of the video
Lol
why didnt you paint the bonnet aswell?
Love the AU falcon, i've had 2 AU's both tickfords, 2000 AU XR6 ute in galaxy blue and 2001 series 2 AU XR8 in phantom, both manuals.
Good to see a AU used for time a attack race car, especially with a barra heart.
Love this vlog, lost count how many times I’ve watched it 😍👌
Legend!
Beautiful car. I still think for the most part the AU was the ugliest falcon, but the XR's and T series have aged really well.
Nice AU ,well done ,great Vid on a very underrated car ,Love mine :)
3 minutes in and I only just realise that he’s holding a Joey
Loving the videos man! Really cool to get an insight into some local builds 🙏
Football , meat pies, kangaroos and..........AU Falcons?
Such a beautiful build.
I used to hate the look of the AU but over the years it’s aged much better than the VT equivalent in my opinion, coming from an ex Holden LS owner who now drives an FG XR6 Turbo lol
Too bad Holden's V6 Commodore couldn't keep up with the Barra, would have been cool to have 6cyl Supercars.
They can but the amount of money and work required is 3x for the Ecotec than the Barra
@@grvyy Probably could have used RB30 for the Commodore.
LFX destroys non turbo barras
@@ComputersAndSoftware I know, but the price to get a V6 up to power with a Turbo Barra is not cheap.
ComputersAndSoftware 4v snashes 2v any day now of the week
AUs are awesome
Just casually cradling a joey
I love the JDM touch to it.
Similar to what I’m doing with my falcon, I like it. Good build 👍
Best looking falcon with the best motor. Winner.
Honestly couldnt get over the au front and rear but this barra swap im converted 💪💪💪
I Love AU,s and kangaroos

Good job young young fella!!!
I'm sorry but the front number plate is crooked...far out
NOOO why did you point it now my OCD is driving me nuts
AU Best Falcon ever.
Love my AU2 Xr6 VCT.
He's spot on I reckon, AUs chassis inspire confidence and have a nice underrated feel, I get what he means about power, Mmm makes me jealous I have manual 5.0ltr Windsor ute, I'd love to make something out of this, retaining the Windsor 🤔😊

See you around Adelaide mate.
What a great video.....honest 👍
This is exactly wat I wanna build thank you for sharing
How many kw's do you get with the baby kangaroo upgrade?
glad u still have it dale. nice work mate, see you at the track soon hopefully
Oi I was looking for you the other day on FB. Haha. You aint see this car recently now
@@audoinxr6372 yeah man I deleted fb. Keen to see the au again. I'm at tailem bend this weekend for the pub day
I was sad when I seen it gone. Hahaha
Hope goes well at bend. I'm still month or 2 off. Got Link ECU and rewire happening
@@audoinxr6372 fully sick, hopefully solve a few issues 👌👌
how does one get their car on here anyways>? reckon he'd be interested in my bus?
The AU has always looked better with the high bonnet, I threw a Forte bonnet on my AU ute and it looks so much better.
Love the number plate
Good points and spot on :)
yep
can confirm a good set of tyres and dialed in suspension and good kit of brakes is more enjoyable than a gazillion horsepower and no grip, no brakes and crappy suspension
Anyone know where he got that bonnet from???
From America to Australia I love the Falcon XR6!!!! Better than a 2JZ for sure.
Makes me want one
How the hell did you add 300kg?!
Tassie Rider was thinking that ??
Independant rear end adds 225kgs to the car and barra is heavier by 40kgs plus all turbo stuff
That was a race weight with me in it and full tank of fuel. It's about 1990kgs. Sunroof and 6 speed add alot of weight too.
Do you have to engineer the car if you put a different engine in or no because it drops in without changing any mounts n shit
This thing is awesome
Any more videos of this car
Wh is it brown in the collant resovir
fuk yeah ma boi, awesome
Hot dam thats nice
Could of got just as much out of the original single cam 6
The original plan was to just go a stock barra and 6 speed in a sleeper set up. Nothing fancy.
So the single cam wouldn't do the power and reliability as cheap as the barra.
But once I got hooked on racing that all changed..haha
Mint ride.nz👍
Heavy duty springs etc
1.9 ton? Wow
I wanna know how I can get into time attack
Bruh why ur dog look funny
Modern day Road warrior
But it's not a 1.9 tonne car. 1530kgs from factory for a XR6 AU so how is it 1900kgs heavy ?
Thats what the truck weigh bridge said.
I'd guess the sunroof, the barra turbo, the T56, extra fuel systems/coolers/piping, wheels actually weigh a little more too. Im 100kgs flat. Not hard to add 300kgs in parts and fluids.
True Superroo 👍
Would of got a better diff, no real need to open a Barra just a few things with head would be fine
The stock barra destroyed piston number 3 at 220kw. That's only reason we built it.
Speak the truth
Fucking sick
1530 is dry weight where did u pick up 300 kgs mate
Sunroof. T56 swap. Barra turbo swap with all its extra bits all over.
Its got far wider wheels and tyres, way bigger brakes, 8mm think alloy under trays.
Plus with a 100kg driver added in.
It hit 1900kg on a truck weigh bridge.
The rims are inside out.
Good to see golf against the au
Damn this is so sexc 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It's pronounced "Sha see"
3:46 your dampers are blown lol
anyone notice hes holding a kangaroo?
yew
Sophi ain't impressed m8
Very strange pet dog.....
Not bad for the ugliest falcon ever made
Falcons are not good cars by any means???
AUSURE
AUKIDDING ME?

Can hardly understand what this guy is saying.
