Good to hear the “ugly” front end is finally growing on ya ross 🤣 most unique front end for its time still is timeless. on a Harley if you have the exhaust angled close towards the ground it sounds louder and better as it reverbs off the road, wondering if this will be the same for this beauty, definitely deserves the best note it can produce.

Yeah, I LOVE the sound of the windsor, and really wanted to get one, but they arent a strong motor lol Thats why i got the XR6 since sound aside its the better car, much better motor for making power and less front heavy, and doesnt sound too bad. Part of me will always wish i got the XR8 for that sound though.

The stuff AU dreams are made of... If the block wasn't going to split in 2 in the future I would so totally have that in my life! Wish the Windsor was stronger at this power level. 😭 So fucking good!
AU XR8 has gone from eyesore to work of art status, especially since the monstrosity of a fg-x made us realise that falcons can definitely get uglier than the Au.
I reckon the FG-X looks great and I don't know why it gets a lot of hate... The AU was dog ugly when it came out and base variants (especially series 1) were the worst lookers... That being said, most AU variants have aged well but the interiors are still ugly IMO...
@@MartinJones123 Dude, FG is ugly as fuck. I can say this as a BF GTP owner. Interiors don't mean shit anymore, everyone just rips it basically out and puts in a aftermarket system these days.
@@choosesteak5642 Mate you're living in a dream world if you think the FG and X are ugly. Just hang up ya Ford boots and switch sides, bloody beautiful design. Im not going to say the BF is ugly either as i too own one in Fairlane status. IMO the AU also has a decent interior with the Fairmont variant but base was a bit how ya goin. Personally every model from the e series to latest looked great.
God damn I am jealous of anyone with a series 3 xr8. Even more so if they've put in the work to supercharge it. I got no idea how to fix up an engine so I'd have to pay someone to get this done

A well sorted exhaust & tune will see a normally aspirated 220kw doing very similar numbers without the traction issues & you'll save yourself the $12,000 that these blowers cost to buy & fit.
i find that hard to believe..
That little wheasy windsors bottom end is at its limit if it's stock. that's accentually the same combo as my Xr8 220 sedan Vortech V-3 Si-Trim but I stayed 4spd and only run 10psI. I have had AUs since new and was constantly given shit for it, now AUs are a meme lol
It’s definitely probably at her limit but man it felt good 🤤
Yeah, I LOVE the sound of the windsor, and really wanted to get one, but they arent a strong motor lol
Thats why i got the XR6 since sound aside its the better car, much better motor for making power and less front heavy, and doesnt sound too bad.
Part of me will always wish i got the XR8 for that sound though.
What a killer ride 😍❤️
So good
HI ROSS I have a Narooma blue au sedan 220kw and a Narooma blue au ute both xr8 s and 2001 models like u doing videos on au's mate I'm the second owner of the sedan and third owner of the ute ok
thats a wicked garage mate! love an AU
Love the exhaust sound
So good eh!
Yeah that's true
AU's are mint 👍 Best things to drive, So bloody nice.
Agreeed but ain’t nothing wrong with an ED😉
@@RossReviewsau Oh hell no she's great!
these sound amazing
Very tough
I want/need one of those SO BAD!!!!😲👌
Don’t we all!🤣
Gotta get to Melbourne and check out some of our cars mate. Would love to get you to review my 500whp AWD RB26 stagea
i was literally just there for a week lol
Beautiful machine 👌
Up the AU
Awesome car. I'd need to upgrade the brakes on my S1 XR8 ute if I built up an engine like that. 😂 What a great sound though!
Upgraded tickford breaks on this one😉 was a beast eh
The T5 is doing well dealing with that much power
It’s probably at its limit 😅
Anyone know what type of tray this is, looking for an identical one for my ute. Cheers mint xr8
might have been custom from memory
The stuff AU dreams are made of... If the block wasn't going to split in 2 in the future I would so totally have that in my life!
Wish the Windsor was stronger at this power level. 😭 So fucking good!
Here’s hoping his lasts 😅
That sound 😍
Heavenly 🤤
AU XR8 has gone from eyesore to work of art status, especially since the monstrosity of a fg-x made us realise that falcons can definitely get uglier than the Au.
I reckon the FG-X looks great and I don't know why it gets a lot of hate... The AU was dog ugly when it came out and base variants (especially series 1) were the worst lookers... That being said, most AU variants have aged well but the interiors are still ugly IMO...
@@MartinJones123 totally with ya on the AU's & i luv the FG-X too 👍
@@MartinJones123 Dude, FG is ugly as fuck. I can say this as a BF GTP owner. Interiors don't mean shit anymore, everyone just rips it basically out and puts in a aftermarket system these days.
@@choosesteak5642 I'm not talking about the head unit... I'm talking about the overall interior design of the AU...
What a weapon !
insane AU!
AU beautiful !!!!
A true gem
What are those magnificent rims...
Is that a vortex or another brand?
vortex
@@RossReviewsau thanks for your response and I hope to see more of your car culture
What are those wheels??😍
Sooo australian...love it
Full send 🇦🇺
now this is what i wanted to see
👌👌👌
This big old thing must have some serious body roll
No got the coil overs up front
@@RossReviewsau it’s a nice ute
Nice AU ute, but i prefer the solid rear body.
would've looked even nicer i.m.o
Yeah I agree
God damn I am jealous of anyone with a series 3 xr8. Even more so if they've put in the work to supercharge it. I got no idea how to fix up an engine so I'd have to pay someone to get this done
Brilliant.
AU Power
HOT. Interior looks in heap better nick than that teaser pic..
Was pretty tidy eh
@@RossReviewsau Yeah love it. Like you mentioned, way more character than a BA.
Should be good for 10's so long as the box and tailshaft doesn't snap off .
it was holding string but probably at her limit eh
CHURR BRO 🤙
I knew you would love this brother
It sucks we can’t have this in the US
Crying shame
looks mint
Was wicked
Nice car
I think one would need to be a very good driver to take it thru the twisty stuff :D
Gotta have some skills 😅
Little ripper mate
She went well eh
ay does he have a tamoko?
Sure do
