For your allergies, nothing is better than a teaspoon of local honey every morning. Have it first thing and before any foods or coffee. The best local honey is your own, made from the nectar that afflicts you, so I would recommend that you add a couple bee hives to your property. It will enhance your garden and fruit trees too as they pollenate the crops. Take care guys.

I wish that worked for black mold exposure. It definitely doesn't, sadly, and that's one of the big issues they deal with there. It's physically horrific, then add in local pollens and oof. 😫 Non stop secondary infections. In the US it translates to multiple surgeries for P.E. tubes, tonsils and adenoids when the secondary infections are frequent.

Here in Nashville, Tennessee allergies during the spring are a huge thing cuz we live in a gigantic bowl of pollen. Someone recommended local honey to me and since I have been taking a tablespoon in the morning I suffer far less from seasonal allergies. If you're not trying that already, I would give that a try.

Here in Panama (depending on the area) there are a number of things in the air that drive
ex-pats crazy. It all boils down to pollen from specific trees causing extreme breathing irritation and the other that drives kids crazy is called "Peka Peka" (ms) by the locals. According to my neighbors, Guna Yala, a spoon full of honey helps with the breathing problem. As for the Peka Peka, it gets on the legs and arms of kids and is a burning, stinking sensation - just wipe it down with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Always talk to your Panamian neighbors when in doubt
always talk to your Panamian neighbors - ex-pats are pretty much clueless.

While I would wear a mask when pouring concrete powder so that is not inhaled, you are probably right about a tree/plant putting out pollen since it happens same time each year. I had that too, each spring. Love Kaylee's beautiful observation about motherhood!

A bedtime routine that worked great with my children and grandchildren was to start turning lights off in the house to create dimmer, calmer light. Then teeth brushing and pajamas. TV off to start the calming process as the lights were dimmed. Then prayers and tucking in with kisses, hugs and night nights. I would also lower my own energy, use a calming quiet voice.
The prayer wasn't that frightening Lay me down to sleep one, I changed it. The "if I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take", scared the crap out of me as a child. They never talked about me dying at any other time, so it must happen at night. I tried a few variations and ended up with, "Lord be with me all through the night and wake me when the time is right". Not wake me with the morning light, as the crack of dawn waking wasn't on my agenda when I didn't have to be at work. Take care and God bless.

I think you’re doing a great job with Sadie. I think it’s harder to do a routine when you cosleep. I had three girls. The last two were 15 months apart the next 5 years older. At night I did the exact same thing everyday. Bath would take about an hour. It was play clean and wash hair. That was important because it made them relaxed. Never bathed together because it was my time to talke and play independently. Then it was stories and bottles. I loved stories and as they got older that time seemed to grow. They never fussed at bedtime. Sometimes they’d still be awake but I had a little bin beside their crib of toys to play with. Quiet ones. They were able to put themselves to sleep if they woke up. This routine was fully implemented by 6months. Never cried during the night. And they were very independent. The quiet time before bed where they would read etc set them up learning how to wind down and self soothe. Also played music when I put them down. My kids are in their 20s and they still remember the songs. They were all about strong women!

My son started life with severe allergies that made it painful to watch him struggle to breathe. An amazing chiropractor told us that the reason for allergies was the body wasn't detoxifying well. I believe it was the liver that wasn't doing it's job well enough. He put him on a supplement for a week or two with accompanying adjustments. He's not had any problems since then. That was over 40 years ago.
I hope you can find relief by treating the cause and not just the symptoms. Wishing you the best.

Once I stopped the dairy I never had an allergic reaction to anything, environmentalor food. The only way to diagnose was a blood allergy test. The standard allergy scratch test did not indicate the problem. Good luck with your journey.

    Something you can try.
    Take regular table salt.
Put it in a pan on low heat.
Stir constantly and as it starts to turn to a light yellow barely brown color, pull the pan off the stove and put the hot salt into a sock.
(Do NOT BURN the salt only yellow it.)
Tie the sock and put it up to your ears on the outside of the canal., one at a time alternating it for about 30 seconds to a minute each time.
It will be VERY hot at first, so you just barely dab it against ear canal each time, until it’s cooled enough to leave a bit longer on each ear canal.
This was the only thing that helped my young daughter cope with seasonal allergies.

Instead of allergy shots, there are some doctors that offer immunotherapy drops that go under your tongue. They can be a little pricey, because they are not covered by insurance, but very convenient and an option if you don’t like shots. The idea around shots and drops is that you’re introducing what you’re allergic to into your body over a long period of time so eventually your body won’t react anymore.

have an epi-pen or two on hand if you do this and an emergency room nearby. desensitization treatment is risky. thats why when you get allergy shots at your immunologist's office, you are required to remain there for 30 minutes in case you have an anaphylactic reaction. sometimes those reactions don't occur for 60 minutes, but hopefully they are mild enough that you can get yourself to an ER before the situation turns critical/fatal.

Add a little flour based anything to that and you have the perfect petri dish for allergies to increase and explode. During the season you need to avoid them like the plague. As a lifetime allergy sufferer who lives in a sub tropical climate (Queensland, Australia) I can totally attest to the local honey thing and also, the lack of moisture, the pollens - all that contributed to your allergies. When I first moved here 16 years ago, I came from a dry cool climate in the south of Australia to a sub-tropical climate. I had a year where I had really bad sinus attacks and allergy infections. After that I got used to the moisture in the air and when I go south where it’s drier, my body hates me. But the fact it also happens year on at the same time definitely suggests that some tree or plant on your property is affecting you. Could even be grass, hay, dust, mould, etc. someone mentioned the allergy shot. I was tested extensively and offered the shot but didn’t end up taking it just due to cost, but it can be hit or miss as I’ve had so,e people tell me it cured them and others say it did nothing. I can’t speak to it as I didn’t end up taking it. I have a daily teaspoon of honey when I wake-up, and also use a nose spray called dymista which has worked wonders. Hope you find some relief soon!

My son is that way and he’s 36 years old and since he was probably five he’s steak tissues up his nose like a cork to cope with it, his eyes ears nose his throat. We went through testing he took medication‘s. It just doesn’t seem anything makes it go away 100%. So don’t feel bad. My son has four kids and they all know when dad‘s having allergy problems. There’s always some thing bitter sweet about every home I’ve ever been to, and like I said once before I was a homebirth Midwife for 10 years in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. I’ve seen a lot of homes. You got to take the good with the bad . I sure hope you find something to deal with that power full of allergies. Just remember your nose is running like a sieve because your body is trying to evacuate and wash out kind of like a cleansing bath get that stuff out of your body so your body is working hard. Get lots of sleep and anything that makes you feel energetic or strong I say go for it. You know you’ll feel like a bright new life when your allergies subside.

Although I did try to get her in bed by eight 830 if something happened that she was still awake in her bed at 10 o’clock and she heard Emeril Lagasse the cooking show come on Food Network there was no stopping her she would grab her blanket and title right up to the couch and lay with me to watch it. You guys definitely have the right attitude. The more time you can spend with them do it. Little Sadie Jo is looking so adorable And happy. You guys are doing a great job. Sometimes eating what is making you allergic can help. Making a tincture, or jelly from the flower. Also improving gut health., not taking a pill...Homemade Kefir, Kombucha, fermented veggies & fruits. Decrease any processed sugars and prob some carbs too. Your body might be telling you something is wrong (obviously).
Love the channel and I love the coffee from the jungle.. When I first brewed it, my hubby thought I was baking brownies!!!! smells so awesome and so smoooooth!

I grew up in Chicago, zero allergies….I moved south and my first 4 years every spring I wanted to curl up and never go out again. Allergy meds help so much, but with time it should get better. I think it has something to do with not having a freeze every winter like we had growing up.

If you wanted the concrete to be bonded together there are bonding agents when you pour new concrete connecting to old or already dried concrete

    • @enchantederic3792
      @enchantederic3792 Год назад

Since concrete bonder is specific to concrete it is best, but it is basically "Elmers white glue" thinned down a bit, and you can get the large gallon sized "teacher/school" version online. But this is only superficial bonding, and usually used when feathering out new concrete to existing. To prevent slabs cracking apart however, there must be structural steel, re-bar, of some type and installed just like he did, but spaced a bit closer - at 18" generally.

My intuition says it's a protein in canine urine and feces, especially if they have any infections. It would be more potent and airborne during the dry season. Best advice is to get tested and isolate yourself from any routines you have cleaning up after the dogs. Avoid letting them lick your face and nose. Love you all! Thank you for your enjoyable content, I always feel so peaceful, yet motivated after watching! Sadie, you are such a joy!❤

The local honey suggestions are good..I would consider coupling that with the supplement beta glucan. In essence, It gives glasses to your macrophages....so that they can correctly indentify the culprit as harmless and not pathogenic and avoid the expel/flush response. 👍

HEPA filter near your sleeping area might help. Your shop is not too big to filter the whole space.
I agree with putting a safety fence around your little swimming hole. I believe you could plumb in a simple siphon to auto start when the water gets deep enough.

Have you noticed, that It always happens when you mix concrete. Since it's not raining, it's usually the time that you take advantage to mix and lay it? The dust going up your nose, well the way the body releases it, it's through your runny nose.

3 weeks before allergy season mix a tsp of bee pollen and a tsp of honey from the same local bees with 2 fingers of warm water. Leave on your counter overnight and drink in the am. Do it for 3 weeks and your seasonal allergies will be much more manageable. Good luck. Safe travels.

Try stinging nettle. Make it as a tea, add it to another tea, or make an elderberry syrup with it. Honestly, it’s by far, the BEST thing I’ve found for allergy season. Local honey alone hasn’t worked for me, but the nettle/elderberry combo has! Good luck…

My mom has an issue in the fall, after the leaves fall. The moisture under the leaves creates mold, so when she goes to clear the leaves it puts the mold in the air and causes her to have an attack. I would think it would be a similar situation on your farm. After the rainy season, the moisture is causing mold on your forest floor. The dry/windy season is exposing it and putting it in the air, causing your attacks. In a few weeks it’s all gone and your back to normal. The only treatment I am aware of is conventional medicine, anything with a decongestant in it. If that’s not enough then add a hart burn medication with it like Zantac (not a chewable one). I know it sounds crazy but something with the hart burn med and the allergy med together makes it stronger. Also take these in the morning before the attack happens to avoid it all together. Waiting for it to happen then taking the meds makes them less effective. Also some people have problems sleeping when you take a decongestant to late. I know you don’t like taking conventional medicine, maybe you can find a natural one. Good luck.

Hi Jordan, I am a medical doctor and also an allergy sufferer. Since your allergy is seasonal, it is probably due to some type of weed pollinating. If being absent from the farm during these pollinating weeks is not practical, and if over-the-counter antihistamines like Claritin don't help enough, there's an effective prescription medication called Montelukast 10mg once a day. If you can get it in Panama or have it sent to you from the US, it could help a lot. Unfortunately, I can't prescribe it to you in Panama. I am only licensed in Florida.

Ok, allergies. One of the things I found was that in living in different countries/places (I've moved over 47xs), is that that there is always a "local" solution to your woes. Ask the local "healers"or herbalists in your area. Is there a place that sells any sort of tinctures etc? Here in Ireland, Echinacea does wonders mixed with homeopathic like Euphrasia or Allium Cepa. We also have a mix called Lufta that I use in Spring. BUT none of these worked in other places that I've lived (like the desert, by the sea etc). Ask your local friends..there must be someone in the area who knows, you know?
    Good luck!

I noticed in several videos that you tend to pronounce Boquete more like BoGETe.
As someone who is fluent in both English and Spanish, I can definitely see how you got there, as the “que” is not quite the same as the English “k”, but it’s not as far back in the mouth as the “g” sound.
A tip is to say a “k” but with less air behind it. To practice, try putting your hand in front on your mouth to feel your breath, and try alternating saying an English letter “k” where you can feel the breath on your hand, then a Spanish “que” with no air rushing out.
    Hope that helps! ❤
