I've had cats pretty much all my life and just about all of them brought a mouse or rat to the door. My parents were both raised in very rural/farming kind of environments and so they'd always praise the cat for getting rid of any rodents. My mum is 88, and when my cat gets a little mouse and "presents" it, she'll still go on about how wonderful the kitty is, so I've always seen it as positive 😺
My nephews cats have been staying at my house for about 3 weeks now since their house caught fire. I've noticed the one with anxiety has finally gotten used to us all. He meows at me and slow blinks and stares at me. He also follows me around. I give him catnip on occasion and he loves it. I'm happy he is happy. He plays alot now and that's great.
One of my babies cuddles under my arm, looks lovingly into my eyes without blinking. Her look is so lovingly intense, certainly loving.maybe she blinks but ever so slowly.
My cat suddenly went from barely acknowledging my existence to loving me a lot. My sweet Skeep would hang around in the same room with me, albeit keeping her distance, she would give me her kitty nod and put loudly if I happen to walk by her but if I tried to pet her without it being her idea she would snub me and sometimes run to a different area in the same room. Recently I woke up to find my sweet Skeep sleeping on my stomach purring away. When I let out an audible aww she woke up and stared at me. When she realized I was not going to pet her she found my hand lightly scratched at it bit it playfully before finally rubbing against it with her head. Ever since that day she is always waiting for me on my table when I get home, loves to lay in my lap while I’m watching tv and continues to lay with me when I go to bed.
My brother and his wife adopted the cat her grandmother had before she passed. He was a very shy “old guy” cat, and was used to being solitary. Upon being brought to my brother’s home, he was greeted by the ball of energy that was my brother’s first cat, who was barely a month old at the time. I came to visit them about another month after the adoption. I sat on their couch, and everyone was surprised when “old man” popped his head out. He then slowly made his way to the back of the couch, and actually did the headbutts to my arm. I started petting him gently on his neck, and he actually guided my hand to his belly. We stayed like that for over two hours watching tv, and he eventually fell asleep. It was one of the most adorable memories I have
My former feral cat, and mini black panther, who showed up in my backyard 3 1/2 years ago, that I named Raven and has been living in my house with me for 3 years, likes belly rubs, but only on HER terms. That is usually in the morning before I get up to get her breakfast. She hops up on my bed, if she wasn't already sleeping with me, purring very loudly as she approaches me. She flops down on her left side with her back against my left side and I rub and pet her belly for about 5 min. till she's decided that she's had enough then she gets up and heads to the kitchen so that I can get her breakfast.
It’s funny how I’ve always been a dog guy who was slightly allergic to cats. We have a pitbull who’s very friendly. Gf made us get Ryuk from the shelter for Christmas. By the time spring break rolled around he pretty much showed me all of the signs shown on the lists. We’re pretty much best buds now lol
I must have one of those rare cats that actually likes belly skritches (at least from me, who he loves, judging by how many boxes got ticked from the video list!). He doesn't so much show his belly, but he'll get on my lap and arch his back, with his ears, tail, and whiskers relaxed. I start skritching, and then the purring starts, his ears, whiskers, and tail still relaxed. He'll also get into 'hug position' on my lap, with his side against my chest, his back end and tail tucked into my lap. It's a really good position for belly skritches and also full body hugs, which he loves. I always make sure that his ears and tail are free, and pay attention to how tense or relaxed his body feels, no matter how he's being (safely!) held, so he can still 'talk' to me. Even the loviest cat will eventually get tired of being held, and let you know!
Honestly, it's not as rare as people make it out to be. Plenty of cats like belly pets. My orange lad will intentionally stretch out next to me, belly up with the happiest purrs for belly rubs.
I rescued my babies when they were 7 weeks old, they're brother and sister and I love them more than anything 💗 they're 10 years old now, but I love em even more every single day 😊
I have a new cat after losing my 17 year old baby. She's very different and i wasn't sure if she loved me. But she's done the majority of these! Thanks!
Theres a cat that comes to my backyard every night, and I’ve grown such a strong bond with it. The first time it came, it started rolling around but from afar. It was really scared, but super affectionate. I figured it belonged to someone, but then it was obvious how it was a stray. Yet, I started feeding it tuna and I then grew confidence to pet it when I realized it felt comfortable. I then started letting it into my house, which is now a daily thing!! My cat has done all of the above in this video, and has clearly displayed affection for me. I even started cleaning it (since it’s dirty from being outdoors) but I won’t keep it. As much as it loves to me in my house, on my furniture, and around me, eventually it’ll go. I realized this because it wants to be free and is used to being a stray. I will accept that it’s what the cat wants and will continue to treat it with love and respect. I love her, and named her dutchess
I've always struggled with eye contact with people. My cat fixed this for me. The slow blink made me realize the importance of looking into people's eyes. Its a powerful tool. My cat sleeps directly on my feet. My mom always was concerned about me and my brothers feet to warm at night. I get that same feeling from my boy.
My cat definitely loves me, He gets mad at me when I'm gone for a few hours. I get home and he lets out a long meow and then sits on me so I can't get back up again! 😸
Kahli the Destroyer may not be a cuddly cat, but she does love to bring me gifts. Usually plastic strips from packaging she digs out of the recycling or her favourite stuffed toys. My bed is littered with them 😅.
My little boy does all of these things, I feel so loved! And I’m happy he is feeling so loved too. He is a indoor cat, but when he sometimes catches a fly, he comes and drops it by my feet like “Here you go mommy, I got you some snacks” It’s so cute 🥹😻🖤
My cats always have to be in the same room as me, they always slow blink, they always greet me at the door and headbutt me, they sumtimes lick me, they ALWAYS follow me, they don't sleep anywhere other than with me, my sister or my mom , my cat use to bring us socks but he past away, most of the time their body is relaxed unless they have the zoomies, they show their belly a lot, always rubbing against legs, always kneading when on us. I think we definitely made a bond with the 2 cats, the 2 cats I'm talking about they use to be strays but then we adopted them! So they are rescue cats :D
Everytime I come home from work my cat follows me and my girlfriend to our room meowing and purring. When I take my work clothes off she likes to rub on them I think it’s because she thinks it’s me but also when I lay on the sofa she jumps on top of me purrs and most of the time sleeps on my stomach. I love my cat, I was never a cat person but my cat shows me they can be so lovely and caring
The last time I had a cat was as a kid and my Dad was the closest to it. At 37 I got one less than a week ago and I'm convinced that she loves me. Thank you. I would do well not to betray Nala J❤
My two cats are both 12 years old (sisters) and I don’t know how much time I still have with them because they show signs of Altsheimer and move less and less but they both still show all of these signs. I love them so much and every time I leave for work they both wait and sleep at the door to I return. They greet me with a few big chirps.❤😢
Some kitties will walk over and meow at you if they like you, especially when hungry. Mine makes a particular face at me if he wants food, flattening his fur to his face and very slightly opening his mouth, and sometimes he makes a biting motion. He also tends to linger near things that are likely to smell strongly of anyone he likes. He used to flop on top of the dog's bed when we had one, and randomly walk over to lick her nose. If you find a cat sleeping on top of your recently worn clothing or bedding you haven't washed in a while, it probably likes you. Mine will also sometimes wait outside the bathroom for me, because he doesn't like it if there's a door preventing him from watching me, and less often will actually be insistent on sitting in the room until I leave. When one just walks over and flops nearby to sleep while you're sitting somewhere, it's commonly recognized as "you're safe, I sleep here," but if a cat outright follows you through the building and runs between your legs, it's a really obvious sign they want to be near you. My kitty also tends to sit somewhere in line of sight and just stare at anything he likes. He'll watch the other cat eating, watch me eating, and sometimes even watch me sleep. When he's being more cuddly, he just waits until my eyes open, then hops on the bed to purr and rub on me. It's probably the clearest message you could get from a cat that they like you and want to be near you, when they spend unknown amounts of time waiting for you to wake up so they can cuddle you immediately. It's also one of the best possible things to wake up to, with the soft paws and the cute purrs.
Cats are indescribably sweet, adorable. tolerant, patient and long-suffering. Too bad for people who are allergic to felines. Cats are the most people-oriented creatures on earth!

Lol, sometimes the following around the house is too much! It's a 50/50 shot whether I can turn around without tripping over one or the other of our boys. The whole 'hanging out near you' is so misunderstood, so many people seem to think it means being aloof and unapproachable. They aren't dogs and most don't want constant attention. My two boys right now are five feet away sleeping on their cat tree completely zoned out. I can, and often do, go over for a pet.

Yes.
I now have 3 rescues, but one never purrs. She displays other lovey things but she loves me❤
I’m getting 12 of these signs, is too cold in my room for her to sleep with me but she comes to check in on me lol. I love my Nina❤

All three of my fur babies show their love for all day every day....and I love it!
Both my babies exhibit almost all of these signs! I feel so loved 🥰

My cat Tiger-J does all of these. Thank you for the very informative video.
