The cat we have came from the parking lot of an apartment we lived in. He was a kitten and was abandoned. Since the day he ran up to only us crying out for help when there were half a dozen other people out there, we have not been away from each other longer than the hour of a work day. He loves to play tag with us. We chase each other back and forth around the house. He wants to investigate and smell everything that we eat. We share if he likes it. He loves to ride in the car with us. He has the best personality I have ever seen in a cat. When he plays he does his absolute best not to ever use his claws. Another thing that I haven't seen a cat ever do. We saved him and he knows it. But he saved us. We have never really been cat people. But one day, all of a sudden, we have this wonderful addition. It's awesome.

Get an older cat or kitten, they will brighten your life forever. Just leave the water and food out. Change the litter box when needed or less or it’s an outside cat. They stick by you. Easy stuff.
I have two kitties one is 4 and one is almost 5. My male cat Simon the 5 yr old is very active he is very social loves company very healthy . My female is Daisy who is 4 has had some very serious health issues . She had a very serious surgery at only 18 months . I’m very attached to her more protective I guess in a sense . She comes to bed and sleeps on my chest every single night . She stays with me all night long . She won’t allow my male cat on my bed at night .. I love both of them dearly . I’m grateful they are both healthy this holiday season
When is my cats was a feral cat that ran up to me when I was out walking my dogs one day and stood there and talk to me and then followed me all the way home and talk to me all the way back to my house. I have been telling her every day since then how happy I am that she followed me home. She is the most affectionate cat I have ever had.
You'll see Daisy again someday!!! I nearly died in 2008 and as I stood just outside the gates of heaven, all of my furbabies were jumping at my feet!!!
Idkkkk my cat sleeps on his back with all 4 paws up and he snores 🥱 besides kneading and the face rubbing my kitten does all of these. He’ll stand at your feet and like air rub you but doesn’t actually do it. He’s only done it once to my face and never again to me or anyone else.
My bud stripes has an automatic cat feeder and a water fountain. He doesn't need to wake us up, but he waits for the automatic feeder to launch food lol😂😂😂😂😂 then he runs but we have also a treat for stripes to have some wet food
My oldest cat doesn't bite to play. He bites me to tell me to keep cuddling with him. My younger cat bites when I pet him too much, or when he wants to play, or when he just wants to bite......

Most of the video comments are crap. These are normal indoor cat behavior gaslighted to mean something significant. Cats see human as a cat species, and the cat joins the pride, and exhibit cat behavior as if humans are cats. As a pride member, they do let their guard down, and the notion that “you have their back” is phony. Cats are mostly solitary hunters and they run away on their own. There has been examples of cats defending a human, but mostly they’re defending their pride of fellow cats based on a herd mentality that together is better for hunting and surviving.

Got as far as six minutes. There are a lot of over generalizations attributed to cat behavior. The belly and biting - those are trust and affection as well is grooming. If your cat licks you - they like you. I've had cats for decades. Numerous generations of cats from kittens to old age. I know these generalizations are being overstated. They're correct but not accurate in intensity to the meaning behind the actions.
Exposing their belly is a cat's way of showing their trust...but, NOT an invitation to touch it. Most of them, will NOT welcome belly rubs, and retaliate with teeth, claws, or bunny kicks. You should have mentioned this.
Some cats just don’t like belly rubs at all, so try petting their head, chin, or base of the tail instead. It could also be that your cat doesn’t fully trust you yet-building a strong bond takes time. ❤️❤️

We rescued a cat that has been living on the streets for about a year cause her previous owners abandoned her. We have her home now but she refuses to come out from under the bed and interact with us. Is there anything we can do to help build trust?
Give it time. I had one do that for months. I put her food and water under there. I lay on the floor and talked to her. Did not try and grab her. Eventually she'd come out if I wasn't in the room but would hide if I came in. I'd sit watching TV and eventually she'd come to sniff the room. I ignored her and let her explore. Now she sits on me and steals my chair. I do have other cats and she's made friends with one, so that helped. Just give her time.
We were in a similar situation after rescuing our Sophia. It took about a little while but did the same We would lay down on the floor and talk to her. She eventually came out of hiding and started eating etc. you’ll get there.
Yeah, came here to say that- TIME. Consistent routine, quiet and safe 100% of the time. It might take a long, long time, but eventually changes will happen. Don’t rush or push the cat. They’ve had a hard life and due to previous circumstances are understandably wary of humans. Give her the time she needs to realize you’re her allies. It will seem like eons, but once changes start they will progress quickly, as long as you continue to always make sure she feels safe and secure. Cats hate change, so even if she’s’ under the bed, keep her routine the same. Good luck and thanks for rescuing her.
