@@soyuzinstrumentales7605 you can think that if you want, but cats just show their affection in different ways than dogs. Just saying, not everyone wants to constantly be jumped all over as a sign of affection. I prefer the gentle, calm ways of cats.

Cats can absolutely be very loving… but on their terms. They decide when they’re ready to reciprocate affection. When they feel like nuzzle and cuddle. This is one of sweetest videos on cats !

I’ve always owned dogs before and thought that cats could never be as loyal or affectionate as dogs but boy was I wrong. I took a chance and adopted a cat from the humane society and it was the best decision I’ve made. She does everything my dogs used to do. She greets me everyday at the door when I get home, then follows me everywhere and sleeps with me every night. Plus the bonus of having a cat jump in your lap, head bunting you while purring crazily is something that my dogs couldn’t do. Now I am a cat person.

I wish someone would tell my feisty 1 year old ginger girl . Does not like to be cuddled . Picked up , stroking her … always in attack mode .
She could be stressed but also every animal has a different love language she may not like snuggles but I'm sure you are doing amazing with her she just maybe so full of energy still that it will make her feel like she might burst if she takes it easy I know eventually that time will come when she wants you to pet her and not stop it just may take some time but you got this ❤
Our Tuxedo cat Charlie was abused and traumatized before he made it to the pet shelter. No one wanted him. He was scared of people. We adopted him at about 9 months old. It took about 3 years but Charlie lets us pet him now. And he purrs now too. It's still hard to pick him up, he wants to escape from our arms. He plays now with our other cat. He's still alittle shy but so, so much better. Cats remember past trauma. God Bless.
Hi Trudy. I had a rescued adult cat like that. I got one of the gloves (Amazon) that pick up loose hair and put catnip on it. Then sat on the sofa… with the glove. I didn’t try to put her on my lap, just sat the calmly and sweetly talking to her. She sat at the other end of the sofa…. I patted my side giving her a whiff of the catnip. She came closer after a couple days. Then within reach I lightly stroked the glove down her back. Next day she jumped up closer and the stroking lasted longer. I think someone had held her roughly when cutting her nails. Within 2 weeks she got on my bed (after I had settled down. And slept at my head her head in my hair. 😊

It depends on the cat really some are more skittish (usually females) and some are just outright mean and unpleasant in general even if they haven’t been treated bad by owners or anything, but these are rare but personalities for all animals depend on the individual really. Ive had many cats and ive had two that are just crazy affectionate and bonding bordering on dog like personalities but these are rare
