Make sure you run across Cold Chisel then. Barnesy never sang better than he did in those years and Swingshift remains one of the greatest live albums I've ever heard.
Check the song Ocean Deep from the same concert. It’s a memorial concert and the song was written to express his feelings as the cancer was taking him at 25 years of age. RIP Andrew Durant
Check out a few songs from Cold Chisel (Ian Moss and Jimmy Barnes) - 'Khe Sahn', 'When the war is over' and 'Die to be with you tonight'. Great classic Aussie rock from the good days..
I honestly believe that Jimmy Barnes is the best male vocalist in the world . And I live in the States. This song is so emotional for me and always has been but now I have reasons for listening to this song and it makes me feel so much better . Every time I listen to this song it gets better. Best version of this song I've ever heard or seen.

reminds me of my years living in Oz back in the 1980's ... memories of sitting on the beach drinking rocket fuels spending all night breaking all the rules... the best version of this song ever recorded, especially Jimmy Belting out his verse... awesome
Gutsy effort by Renee to go head to head with Barnesy. Like so many things Australian, a unique take where authenticity is expressed from being oneself in the moment. Wonderfully uplifting clip
I think more credit needs to be given to the rest of the artists in this song. Its not just Jimmy. Renee Geyer, Ian Moss and several other famous artist on that stage.
The best version of this song I've heard. Amazing line-up of talent - perfect combination of each and every vocal performance. Renee Geyer is sadly misssed - wonderful voice. 🦋🦋🦋
