Yeah, I'm a massive Barnesy fan....and can't stand it when people say "he doesn't sing, he screams". Even in his real early Chisel days, he had such versatility with his voice....but it's just gotten better. Bonamassa and this arrangement just adds another level to this great song!

Over the last sixty years of of acknowledging the impact of music to the soul, I believe in my opinion that this is more powerful than Unchanged Melody and any other love song you might think is up there, this gives me more than chills, it brings tears and I'm 68.

This is a stunning piece of music, the intro set the whole thing up! So nostalgic! Joe got his part absolutely bang on, he felt and represented every note the same as Jimmy.
I think that intro is the best solo I ever heard Joe play. I was touched by that in a different way than usual. And Jimmy Barnes is a good match for him.
Maybe...just maybe....but I would ask you to listen to his RUclips video of JB and Beth Hart doing "I'd rather be a blind girl". That solo is simply astounding.
@@fish4bugs I just went back to it - I remember it now, yeah. It’s the same thing, it’s more mature and more oriented towards the fundamental emotional premise of the song. And he is kinda forced because Hart is such a strong natural artist in terms of channelling emotion. I’d say her level of expression runs deeper so he has to step up to the plate to not compromise the space she creates. Joe, to me, has always been a little “busy” of a player and I think he has acknowledged that himself on occasion, as something he would be working on for the times when his more directly guitaroriented playbook would be less useful. He kinda put himself in a Derek Trucks headspace there, perhaps with a little Clapton thrown in as well which is an intelligent move for a lead-guitar/female singer duo.
@@whynottalklikeapirat If you look at the end of his solo, you see him bow down to his drummer and the smile on his face says he nailed it...and he knew it.
I play a 1965 Hammond A105 and I have to say the organ work in that tune is wonderful. To me that is one of JB's best tunes. Not too "busy'...i agree.
Where can I get this on disc without Tina! This version is the best ever. I get chills every time I hear it. Joe is awesome, and Jimmy's voice fits this like a glove. AMAZING!

Barnes is a legend in Australia. He's the lead singer of one of our greatest bands, Cold Chisel and has had a hugely successful solo career. Check out Cold Chisel if you're not familiar with them, they're awesome.

Jimmy Barnes has an awesome voice. The power of Gillan, matched with the melodic sound of anyone you could care to mention. To hear this matched with the tone, touch and sound of a guitarist, who is not Gary Moore, sadly departed, brings chills to my bones. IMHO, this song will never to be matched by anyone. Hats off to you, Joe. Unbelievable!!!! Makes me shiver.

@@torfrida6663 You probably already know this, but Jimmy Barnes was the lead singer for a great Australian band called Cold Chisel.
Don Walker, the keyboard player wrote some classic Australian songs (including this great Blues track with Joe on lead guitar).
Cold Chisel also had a fantastic guitarist and vocalist named Ian Moss.
Live, Cold Chisel are up there with the greatest live rock and roll acts - great energy on stage.

This is something that u play when ur on a dance floor with ur girl. Slow dancing in the night . As u look through her eyes an gaze into her soul. It doesn’t matter how many people are around cause it’s like it’s just u an her are the only ones there . davest23 I have listened to Black Country Communion also. I love his Ballad of John Henry, Black Rock and Dust Bowls albums a lot. The two albums with Beth Hart are great also :D.
