I can picture a blood hunter who due to injuries sustained fighting monsters has needed to replace his limbs turning himself into a Frankenstein esque monster Maybe add a level of barbarian to that Or what kind of lycanthrope does a kenku/ aarakocra turn into or a dragonborn/lizardfolk
I love the idea of extending your physiology into your weapons and embodying the monstrous aspect you put to work. I want to make something like the Hulk you gave with an Alchemist Artificer, there's gotta be a way to bridge that.
I settled on the idea of my Hybrid Form being a result of an experiment gone wrong ala Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. This would manifest in his arms growing longer with his hands hanging down by his shins. His facial hair and arm hair would extend into redish fur to show his anatomy blending with that of a Bugbear's body. This would give his abilities in strength and rage a very beastial edge with a swagger to show he's better than his constituents.
You could be a Wereshark or Werecroc without needing to flavor, because those actually exist in previous editions. In fact, in Forgotten Realms lore, Werecrocodiles served the egyptian deity Sebek, and thus you could reasonably get some levels in cleric there
Not a Blood Hunter but I plan on playing a Beast Barbarian roleplayed as monk with savage slashing strikes (Claws), or piercing jabs (Tail). It isnt that his fingdernails are sharp or is his lineage lycanthropic or anything like that. its that he trained like a madman to condition his fingers by slashing and piercing at bags of sand and later on trees outside his dojo/hermit home. His fingers broke countless times during the training but he persevered through it and he created his own style of martial arts.
Great idea! And fantastic backstory to boot! This one shares a lot of similarities to the Beast Barbarian, so you could absolutely use any of these for it
@@TheClericCorner I had the background idea that he used to be a poacher and a trapper (basically shitty dude) who realised the errors of his ways and now is looking to repent by violently discouraging any further poaching. A sort of redemption arc if you will.
I had a DM once who told me after the campaign ended too soon the plans he had for my character. I was an aasimar who was devoted to the concept of redemption and took the oath of redemption. He was mostly a sorcerer, however, and I flavored him leveling up as becoming more intuned with his celestial blood within. Well, my DM's take was that my character was formerly a Solar who had died and become reborn. After becoming aware of his previous life, he was supposed to be able to tap into his Solar form briefly and eventually become a Solar after a century or more. Edit: Put the wrong oath. Oath of redemption is super strong for the +5 to persuasion. Was rolling in the 30s around level 10 or so.
I had an Order of the Lycan Simic Hybrid with tentacles. I flavored him as a half-elf with a Shou Tucker type parent that was trying to combine humanoids with monsters and ended up creating a were-displacer beast.
Fyi, the timestamps seem to be a little off, I imagine this is laziness which I totally get, editing and maintaining a channel is a lot but maybe you didnt realize so yeah
My character is a artificer alchemist and a blood hunter and I themed them to be like jackal and Hyde my character drinks a potion and transformers into a more evil form

So many options!!!

100%! That would make such an interesting multiclass!
@@TheClericCorner 13 Intelligence, small window to get into part-time Artificer roles.

"If you want to be a wereelk, you'll have to touch one first."
It's Wild Kratts 🤣
your timing is just immaculate because im planning on multiclassing into bloodhunter and this was so helpful!
Hope you find something awesome!!

Absolutely! Unfortunately some don't know about those. So cool!

You could be a grung that turns into a slaad. If you want to do an aberrant mind sorcerer you can turn into a mind flayer.
Oh interesting! Tentacle attacks?

Darn! Sorry it didn't come to fruition!

Oh heck yeah!! My favorite D&D beast!!
Why fix what ain't broke?
My Assimar (Fallen) Blood Hunter (Lycan) would like to have a word with you!
(Dip HexLock for extra flavor)
Hey nothing wrong with the OG!
Ain't no way, I'm making a Aasimar 7 lvl Bloodhunter Lycan multiclass with 3 lvl barbarian
@@SonnyPlayz2-wo7jx no, the Barbarian Rage is not good with the Order of the Lycan. Unless you WANT to TPK your own Party.

I definitely didn't realize, thank you for pointing this out!!
A lycan bloodhunter I had imagined, I planned to make a dhampir lycan but its my vampirism becoming so much more
We're bat!!
I played a weretiger version of this subclass. It was a lot of fun.
I love that!
Ghostly possession and glass 'weapons'. Swap glass for mirror shards and we could have a version of Bloody Mary.
THIS 🙌
That would be SO creepy!
I once made a warforged blood hunter who would go into Battle Mode instead of Hybrid Form
Sort of a bodyguard type thing
brilliant idea!
My character is a artificer alchemist and a blood hunter and I themed them to be like jackal and Hyde my character drinks a potion and transformers into a more evil form
This video really has teeth!
Rolan strikes again!!
