After being highly disappointed with the bulkiness of the mod podge method I did searches of multiple FB groups and finally stumbled across a link to this page. THANK YOU! After doing this... SO SO SO much better. A nice thin layer of glitter that is smooth in appearance. I love it. And I didn't use tape. I just trusted my abilities. Who woulda thought? So much better. So thank you for this video... from a fellow CLE'er.
Tip..change both colors to black so they are on the same mat, move the smaller pieces to the right and place the red vinyl down (black vinyl on the right). Cut in one pass.
I am so glad I stumbled up on your video and I am subscribing I enjoyed it and would like to know if you can use the mod pod way and then put the polycrylic over the last coat to lock in the glitter and will it make The glitter shine? Thank you so much for sharing
how awesome is this, i think i seen someone did this but i can't remember but Thanks. I'm glad i ran across this video, great idea for contouring it. I have to try this
Really enjoyed video. I learned about slicing as well as contouring which i have a problem with both in Design Space. Do you like polyacrylic better than Mod Podge?
Sheryl Troy i prefer the polycrylic over the mod podge. It dries better. I find when using mod podge a lot of glitter pulls up when you put your second and third coats on
About how many layers can you put on wine glasses before they start to lift? Or does it not lift at all? Still learning this cricut and vinyl thing. Thanks! I want to make my sister a wine glass with Sailor moon on the glass but she has black boots on, ble clothes, white top, yellow tiara. Just an example of how many layers i think i would need. Can all that go on a wine glass? And it wont mess up or be too think?
@@CorinneBlackstone Okay thank you! I love watching your videos, you make it so easy to understand the cricut machine. One more question i have is - Do you have to poly the rest of the glass once the decal is on to make it stay on and to become dishwasher safe?
Is there a video you'd recommend for a complicated vinyl layering project where you do what you did with snow white but you use a bunch of different colors? I'm just curious how complex a pro Cricut-er can get with vinyl :)
Is the poly-crylic a better way to do this than with the dishwasher safe Mod-Podge? Is it faster / better / easier? Wondering because I tried the Mod Podge one and it was (first effort) pretty but kinda "meh" as far as how much the glitter didn't sparkle after applying the "top coat" of the Mod Podge.
Is it safe to put in dishwasher? I have none with mod podge but looks dull but if you do it with the polyacrylic is it's dull? Or bright? Or the same finish as mod podge
Corinne Blackstone thanks for getting back to me. I’m having the hardest time making these glasses. Yesterday I was literally in tears. I’m my second set of glasses. I’m going to return the clear satin for clear gloss. I’m ready to say forget and just buy em. It was supposed to be a special gift for my bff at our double 40th birthday party but I can’t get right smh
Thank you for sharing. I'm a new cricut user and I've always liked the glitter wine glasses. Very cute idea.
Thank you for being so patient and giving all the little tips. Really enjoyed watching.

Great tutorial! Thank-you! I've seen the glitter stems before but explaining the contour feature really made my day!
What a great idea for using scraps.
Helped a lot! Going to make some for Valentine's Day. Thanks so much!! Needed a simple way to do it and gave it!!

Great project! I have a client who would like the decal inside of a candy dish. Any ideas...should I mirror image?
Vinyl isn’t good safe so you shouldn’t put it inside but if you want to place it outside so it could be viewed from the inside then yes mirror it
Lovely beautiful!!
Nicely done 😁
Turned out pretty!!
You are a great teacher!
This was awesome - you provided so many nuggets!!! Can you use polycrylic spray?
Yes you sure can! I would recommend protecting the top of your glass with painters tape or something when spraying :)

Yes you could do mod podge

As long as you get the vinyl on the glass well it wont lift no matter how many layers you make
Cute
Not sure what the difference is but can I use polyurethane instead of polycrylic?
Polyurethane doesnt work. Its oil based.
Thank you :)
Is the glitter still sparkly when the polycrylic dries AND is it dishwasher proof? TIA!
could you use mod podge too? If so what kind? Sorry I'm new to the world of crafting and just got a cricut this past Mothers' Day!
I do not use mod podge. Its glorified glue and tends to dull the glitter and leave it streaky.
@@CorinneBlackstone Okay thank you! I love watching your videos, you make it so easy to understand the cricut machine.

Would like to learn how to do a zebra glitter wine glass please
Thank you 😊
Can you wash it? Thanks its a beautiful proyect and you explained it very well
Vanessa Soto you can but gently. Do not scrub the glitter or decal. just wash the inside with cool water and quick rinse.
do you seal the vinyl ?
No. There is no need to seal vinyl when using a permanent vinyl product
Can you do this with out a cricket(spell check)?
You can add the glitter but you wont be able to cut out the decal
Enjoyed the tutorial.
Nice!!
Question can the polycrylic get wet and be ok. Not like I’m going to soak the cup but like a fast wash
I try not to get it wet but a quick drop wont hurt it
Awesome! Thanks!
I loved your veido looks so easy
Ok with the polycrylic an you wash the glass? or will the glitter come off? I know with Mod Podge I have had issues with my glitter washing off
Are you using dishwasher safe modgepodge
Thank you!! 💗
Tháñk you

I have a video with a fox that is layering
thank you!!!!!

I truly prefer polycryic
Is it safe to put in dishwasher? I have none with mod podge but looks dull but if you do it with the polyacrylic is it's dull? Or bright? Or the same finish as mod podge
The only way to get true shine is with epoxy and that is also the only way to make a glitter cup dishwasher safe. also no vinyl is dishwasher safe
Corinne Blackstone well that is not true I have vinyl and mod podge have been in dish washer with no problem for testing I did and still beautiful
@@faithwiegand420 while they may survive the dishwasher if you look at any vinyl specs not a single one is listed aa dishwasher safe.
I used triple thick to seal. What the difference between the mod podge and polyacrylic?
I have to make shot glass saying we tied the knot take a shot with name and dates but it's not working for me what can I do
Where did you get your image?
Google
Should the polycyclic be clear satin, clear semi gloss, clear matte finish?
I prefer gloss.
Corinne Blackstone thanks for getting back to me. I’m having the hardest time making these glasses. Yesterday I was literally in tears. I’m my second set of glasses. After everything is the glass dishwasher safe or hand wash?
Hand wash only
Thank you so much
What kind of vinyl did you use
Oracal 651
Ok thank you!
Corinne can you wash this glass since you used the polycrylic? Thank you for the video
You can wash it carefully. Only wash the rim and inside with soap and a quick rinse
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you
What to use to seal the glass.
Where the glitter is you use polycrylic. You do not seal the decal
I just made 2 wine glasses
Thats awesome!
have you epoxied over glitter on wine glass?
Not yet. I have done tumblers
❤️❤️❤️
What size is the image
Oh it’s been a while since I did this video I want to say max 3 inches
where did you get the snow white at?
Google
So cute. And you are just like me, struggles with Shaker lid and just say forget it and pour from jar. 😂😂🤷♀️
Did you use permanent vinyl?
Yes
Would you make decals to sell..?😊😊😊😊
Where did you get your print machine
Print machine? you mean the cricut? I got it off Amazon. amzn.to/2G2fXTB
