    If you wanted to do several light coats of epoxy for a smoother finish, does each layer need to cure 24 hrs before applying the next? Or how long should you wait between layers?

    • @MadMuggingMama
      @MadMuggingMama  7 лет назад +2

      Jennifer Reimers I would definitely wait an absolute minimum of 18 hours between coats, but 24 would be best. just to make sure each coat is fully cured.

    • @MadMuggingMama
      @MadMuggingMama  7 лет назад +1

      Lindsey Holler I have been trying the plastic wine glasses... I'm going to say yes, it does work... but I'm not sure of the durability. I've tried several wine glasses now and they are all "flexing" just enough that I'm pretty sure the glitter and epoxy would crack and fall off. I'm still hunting for good plastic glasses!

  • @nicmarable

    • @MadMuggingMama

      Nicole Marable Tanyag I leave it upside down to dry. I just apply the poly in a very thin coat each time and the glitter helps keep it in place.

      tsureable no they are different things. The triple thick will not be food safe and isn't as durable.

    Does Polycrylic work better than epoxy?

      Cierra Anderson they have different uses. Polycrylic is good for a base coat. Epoxy is a final seal that is also food safe (depending on the brand). So, I can't compare them
