- Hi! This video will show you how to crochet a simple and pretty texture which works beautifully for a washcloth! The stitch pattern is very easy to learn and it works up fairly quickly too. I love how it has a bubble like, feminine texture yet it's so simple to make. The written pattern can also be found on my blog at mamainastitch.com/. I hope that you enjoy it! I'm using these for my daughter's bath time! How would you use yours?

I'm a beginner. What I like about this is I get to practise my single and treble crochet. It's not too complicated, thanks for sharing.
I absolutely love this stitch! So simple but so beautiful! Thank you very kindly for sharing!!!!
I know this is an older video, but I wanted to let everyone know that I’ve heard this stitch pattern known as a faux popcorn stitch. A true popcorn stitch is made with 4-5 DC and then slip the last to the first DC in the back to create the bauble looking stitch. This is informally called a faux popcorn stitch because it looks like a true popcorn stitch without all the work. If there’s another name it goes by, I’d love to know it too. And the texture it creates is absolutely perfect for washcloths and dishcloths. That’s for creating the tutorial.
Love it! I made a few and gave as a gift to a couple of friends! You are a great teacher! I also have to say that I just found out that a baby boy is coming! I am making the blanket with your blanket stitch video! Blessings and thank you so much!
Ms. Jessica, thank you for the tutorial on the washcloth. It was very easy . Just great for the upcoming holiday season.
I don’t know the exact name either, however, I’ve used this alternating stitch in several patterns. It is beautiful and works up quickly! I’m starting now!!!
I found this stitch in a book and its called Aligned Cobble Stitch and it makes lovely scarves too.
Thanks so much for letting me know Gwen!
Gwen Jackson would you happen to have any scarf patterns?
Gwen Jackson .
I am currently working on a dishcloth using this exact pattern. I love the ease of the pattern and the look of it.
Gave it a try, turned out very cute. Really happy with the results. Thank you!

I finally found a pattern I can do! Except some of the bobbles ended up on the wrong side and some came out flat but then I realized what I was doing wrong and got the hang of it!
AWESOME BLOSSOM
♥️⚘♥️
Loved it. Thank you.
Cobblestone stitch
Beautiful stitch thanks for sharing.
I just searched Berry stitch and your tutorial popped up, but it looks lovely, just wish we had the thicker cotton yarn here as we only have 4ply which is really thin :/
Could you show how to do border?
Beautyfule 😊❤
Luv it and simple yet beautiful thank you
I think this stitch goes by several names.. bubble stitch/popcorn stitch/puff stitch
So ch 1 after each row. Sc in the 1st stitch each row?
Hi yr channel just popped up on my recommendations, I know this stitch to be called either the faux popcorn or cobblestones. I'll subscribe and check out yr channel. 👋for now❣
That is the faux popcorn stitch! See Rich Textures Crochet.
It is the bobble stitch
It's called Cobblestone stitch.
It's called a bubble stitch
It can be called a cobblestone stitch too.
Janice did you fine that the bumps didn't stay in place. Mine seem too hummmm not be lumpy any more
Where is your big turquoise/silver ring from? It’s so beautiful!!!
Hi....trying to find your tutorial of crochet block stitch, saw it on Pinterest
Multiple 2
I found the stitch in my book of crochet stitches. It’s called white caps. It’s normally worked with two different colors.
Seems that it's called different things by different people.
Did not find the written pattern on your blog.
Cobblestone?
I like the way you explained the first two rows; however your instructions for the third row were not very clear. I found it very confusing as to where exactly your are to do the single crochets back across row.

White yarn, white background......so hard to see.

You didn’t show how to do the border.
