This stitch combines SC, HDC, DC together to make a cool textured slanted stitch. It has a very easy repeat and is great for beginners.

This is really nice. Good job of demonstrating the pattern.
I love this stitch! Thank you!
I am going to try this pattern out. I will probably make it a little bigger. I am going to give sets with soap and hand cream as gifts for Christmas and this seem like a good fit for what I want to make. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for showing how to sc evenly around the border, it was so easy. My dish cloths usually look wonky after I work those sides.
It's an ok pattern, I bumped up the stitch count as 23 just wasn't large enough imo. Also only 1 ch needed when turning.
I got it after my first try and I am a complete beginner. Thank you sooo much for your clear instructions. I love this stitch.
Is this the slanted shell stitch? I saw others videos for slant stitch that looks different
I love this pattern, simple yet elegant. Thank you for sharing.
I'm making this right now as I wait for my son to get out of school!
I love this stitch! I've made several protects using it, including a scarf and a blanket. I did change the ends slightly, instead of doing two chain stitches, I simply do one and then jump right into the next slant stitch. It comes out a little straighter on the sides, and makes the edging easier when I'm finished.
Thanks so much for all the great tutorials!!
Love how you teach. You are so easy to follow. You are a very good teacher. Thank You. I don't know how to do many crafts and with health problems it gives me something to do.
Tina Archer Thank You!!
I love this stitch too! So easy. I also do only one chain instead of two at end of row.
I love this stitch !!! I'm making holiday gift dishcloths and it so much more elegant than a simple single repeat. Thank you!
So welcome!
Thank nice stitch and you taught very well. No guessing game.
This turned out well. I found that it was "growing " as I went and corrected it by not doing the combination of the three stitches in the same space as chain 2. I put it in the next space and it stopped growing. Happy with the texture.
thank you so much I absolutely love this! I make tons of dishcloths and now I can use this for a change! :)
+Kari Churchill Laidman Thanks!
Thank you for sharing!! I love this pattern can't wait to get some yarn and get started!!!
Love it so simple thank you for sharing !
Thank you for the stitch. You present it so well. I have used it a few times different yarn and items.
Thanks!
The colours are so pretty!
Great stitch! Loved this!
Ali Wehr Thanks!
Love this pattern 🌟😃
This is a great stitch - thanks so much!
***** You're welcome!!
I love this. has anyone tried the crab stitch for your border? I might try that, although I haven't perfected that stitch yet lol. I am also going to try to make a bag for my daughter with this stitch. I just started crocheting in March 2018, so not so good yet.
I am excited to create new things from your videos. I was wondering if you could do a video instructing and making something, using a diagram pattern instead of a written pattern. There are many of us who would love this. Just a suggestion, thanks.
Hi there. The appliqué videos I have work from a crochet diagram. :)
I always use a 4mm instead of a five that’s just personal preference
Amazing ,thank u for a very good well explains pattern :)
+Kaho Fotyfar Thanks so much!

+sara elmasry Thanks!

Hi Deja, thank you for all the great videos you do!! This is my new favorite stitch!! I have made a wash cloth and a tall cowl. I want to make a beanie in the round but I'm having problems with how to do the increases. Would you be able to help me with this?
I have a few tutorials on beanies, including on how to figure out your increases. Check out the free pattern workshop playlist. :)
I will look at these, thank you for taking your time to teach your knowledge!!!
Like washcloth number 2 as well as number one..now r you using same size hook on all of them..
Beverlee Perez Yes, same size. 5mm US-H is a good hook for this particular yarn.
i would like to get this pattern plz let me know
Hi there, the pattern link is in the desc. :)
What hook are u using, what yarn are u using.
Stephanie Johnson Hi there, if you look in the description I give links to both the hook and yarn and the pattern also lets you know. :)
