This stitch combines SC, HDC, DC together to make a cool textured slanted stitch. It has a very easy repeat and is great for beginners.

I am going to try this pattern out. I will probably make it a little bigger. I am going to give sets with soap and hand cream as gifts for Christmas and this seem like a good fit for what I want to make. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for showing how to sc evenly around the border, it was so easy. My dish cloths usually look wonky after I work those sides.

It's an ok pattern, I bumped up the stitch count as 23 just wasn't large enough imo. Also only 1 ch needed when turning.

I love this stitch! I've made several protects using it, including a scarf and a blanket. I did change the ends slightly, instead of doing two chain stitches, I simply do one and then jump right into the next slant stitch. It comes out a little straighter on the sides, and makes the edging easier when I'm finished.
Thanks so much for all the great tutorials!!

I love this stitch too! So easy. I also do only one chain instead of two at end of row.

This turned out well. I found that it was "growing " as I went and corrected it by not doing the combination of the three stitches in the same space as chain 2. I put it in the next space and it stopped growing. Happy with the texture.

I love this. has anyone tried the crab stitch for your border? I might try that, although I haven't perfected that stitch yet lol. I am also going to try to make a bag for my daughter with this stitch. I just started crocheting in March 2018, so not so good yet.

I am excited to create new things from your videos. I was wondering if you could do a video instructing and making something, using a diagram pattern instead of a written pattern. There are many of us who would love this. Just a suggestion, thanks.

I always use a 4mm instead of a five that’s just personal preference

Beverlee Perez Yes, same size. 5mm US-H is a good hook for this particular yarn.
