Welcome and thank you! Yes! The last stitch can be a pain if you make another you an actually work into the chain space instead of the stitch - it is so much easier that way. Let me know how you make out and hope you find lots of fun pattern here!
I like the way a cotton blend yarn lays so I usually get a 80% cotton, 20% acrylic yarn. They tend to split less, don’t shrink strangely and lay more flat.
I love the blended yarn - which one do you use? We don't have very many that I can feel where I am - pretty sparse selection - always on the lookout for a good one!

Hi! I love your hot pink nails! I love how your nails match the yarn. I saw others comment on that, too..but I had to reiterate. You may have said in the video and I missed it, but where is the pink and white yarn? I've bought your pattern on Etsy but I really need that yarn! Thank you.
Thanks - fake stick on nails LOL. I love the colour can't find in nail polish. So the bright pink and white are handicrafter yarn and the light pink is peaches N cream yarn. Hope this helps sorry the responses so late.
Thank you for saying washclothes with Agrilic cause that’s what I do, SO HUH Thank You !!!!! I have a question , do you chain 1 before last double crochet
2-15-24. When you started your Third row I couldn’t see where you do your first double bc your thumb is in the way. Also is it one thread or two threads (yarn)
Some skeins/balls of yarn are doomed to the tangled barf with no hope for a center pull. 😕 Usually, I end up with a giant barf ball that comes out that I then have to un-roll and ravel until I finally find the center end I'm looking for, ending up with a huge pile of "working" yarn on my lap that I have to pray doesn't get tangled while I crochet. I know, it's a wonderful run-on sentence, but it's a run-on predicament! God bless you in your ventures with yarn.
So it isn't just me!!! haha i would never notice the grammar if you have read anything on my blog I'm sure people are appalled but hopefully the creativity makes up for the lack of correct grammar 🤣. TRULY! I feel like some skiens are just cursed from the get go! Then others are like a dream. I found that the handicrafter cotton is terrible from the middle so now i just work from the outside or something as it gets smaller i will roll into a ball and throw in my yarn bowl and use from there. HAPPY WEEKEND to you and thanks so much for being here. 😍
2:59 pm I found good luck pulling out the yarn from the skein by: don’t pull from the end that has the tai tucked in, then, run your finger in both ends then, using small crochet hook place in the center of the skein and pull out the end.
When going into that bottom stitch that was skipped, do you place your hook into the two loops of the skipped chain or the hole below the skipped chain?
@@prettydarnadorable thanks. I finished and would suggest not using the 100 percent cotton, Just doesn't flow well. If I use this stitch again, will use another type yarn. Also, I ended up trimming the last row with one hdc, 1 chain, repeat to end. Seem to work better for me. Thanks so much!

I replace the part that didn't come out loosely and pull from other end. You just probably pulled from the end that was tangled. This has worked for me. Beautiful colors and also what brand and color is the fingernail polish? Loving it.
Hi Carol it is the same pattern you just need to change the colours every row so the one that looks like it's two-tone is actually three the light pink it's just very light. If you use two different colours then you have vertical stripes. Hope this helps
I'm very new to crocheting. So this may sound like a silly question, but when you make your foundation chain do you count the loop from the slip knot as a chain. If I'm chaining 20 so I then chain 19 more? I always end up a stitch off and idk if that's what I'm doing wrong. I'm battling cancer right now and pretty sure I have chemo brain, I struggle with simple things, however crocheting has helped me relax, at least until I'm off by a stitch lol
So sorry to hear :(. Not a silly question at all! So the loop on the hook is not a stitch because you actually haven't made the stitch yet - so just count everything that is below that loop. Please reach out anytime if you have questions. Enjoy.
I love this pattern too! But I can't get the stitch count to come out right, and I've been really careful. i count the chain that counts as my first stitch. Any suggestions?
I'm starting with a dbl crochet in my 4th ch from my hook and ch 1 .I got to the 3rd ch from the end and have 28. 28 when I get to the dbl cr in my last ch that gets me 29. That's where I'm off. .thanks for helping

she can correct me if I'm wrong, dc in the top stitch of the dc below. This pattern is a tricky one. I was hopeing she would've taken more time to explain the multicolored one at the end. I know she used 3 colors but do you fasten off each time or can you carry the 3 threads as you go from row to row?
Sorry Rebecca for the long response time - do you want to send me a photo and i can mark it up. I don't have one partially worked up at the moment to use. cyprianne@prettydarnadorable.com

@@prettydarnadorable so far. I just got some yesterday spent almost 52 dollars for the yar because I got different colors for different wash cloths and coasters.
I had some trouble with keeping the edges straight. I had to frog several rows but overall I did well with the edges. I used a pretty pink for my washcloth.
Bravo for keeping with it! Whenever I have that problem - and believe me I do when i get engrossed in a show and stop counting. I do a border of single crochet - I find that helps :)
Did you say your name is Briann my baby I lost 4 yrs ago I named her Brianna Xmas is hard on me thank you hearing that name helped I hope you understand 💓🙏🌲💞
Hi! I relike this pattern. I'm having trouble with the count. I started with 34 chains and I end up with 31 stitches - 16dc and 15 ch sp. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Please help.
+roseann1973 that’s perfect because when you working from the fourth chain from the hook, those three chains disappear and become your first double crochet and chain stitch so you should have 31 stitches once you do that
I thought that you fluctuated between teaching to a very beginner and a more advanced person at times. Elaborately showing dc then not showing the stitch marker or how to attach it. Also, closer video of the holes you worked into on the more complex stitches would have been helpful. Perhaps targeting videos to levels of experience would be helpful? On an ending note, the pattern is lovely and your voice is nice. Ty for the video
I’ve been crocheting off and on for years but have never been very good at it…. I love to be as confident as you are… my main problem has been yarn tension learning how to hold my yarn and such… but the other day I was watching videos and a sweet woman got on and said for your starting chain use a size bigger hook such as chain with a 6 then crochet with a 5 oh my what a game changer….

At the end of your first row i noticed you didnt chain, then make your last stitch. But then when you continued after a pause, there was was extra chain. Did you forget and did it off camera without saying anything or did I miss something?

I'm wondering why I purchased this pattern, when there is a free RUclips video? I'm also wondering why you go super slow doing chain stitches and double crochet stitches yet race through the most difficult part of trying to do the double crochet in the chain. I had to rewind it several times to try and work out where the hook is supposed to go after it goes through the initial bottom chain.
Hi Pandora thanks so much for the feedback. Sometimes I guess I don’t realize that I am doing it. But with feedback like this I can do better the next time. Some people prefer to print off the pattern to follow along and mark up which is why i offer for purchase. Thanks again for the feedback I will definitely keep this at top of mind for the next video.

Can you tell me do you have a video on how to do the two-tone the pink and the white dishcloth?
Hi Carol it is the same pattern you just need to change the colours every row so the one that looks like it's two-tone is actually three the light pink it's just very light. If you use two different colours then you have vertical stripes. Hope this helps
@@prettydarnadorable ok, do you fasten off at the end of every row then start a new row with the new color? Or, can you carry each color with?
Enjoy.
How many skeins of each color do I need? I would use Lily’s Sugar n’ Cream brand in the hot pink, light pink and white. Thanks!
one of each will be plenty :)
Do you put half double crochets at the end of every row before you turn?
Yes
when u r crocheting the second row before the last stitch which is a HDC do you chain one before doing that stitch?
Yes you do :)
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Do you always HDC on ending and starting ch
I believe so...
Love your hook. Where can I find one?
Thank you :). I made it but there are lots of people on etsy who do them perhaps they could make one like it :)
I love this pattern too! But I can't get the stitch count to come out right, and I've been really careful. i count the chain that counts as my first stitch. Any suggestions?
OH, and You explain things really well. and your audio and visual is great!
How many stitches are you off by?
Thank you so much!
@@prettydarnadorable I'm not sure sometimes 1 and sometimes 2
I'm starting with a dbl crochet in my 4th ch from my hook and ch 1 .I got to the 3rd ch from the end and have 28.
28 when I get to the dbl cr in my last ch that gets me 29. That's where I'm off. .thanks for helping
Can your hook be purchased? I think it’s so cute 🥰 I love this video.
Hi Anita thanks so much. Would you like to email at cyprianne@prettydarnadorable.com about the hook? Thanks!
You explain it so so well cant stand videos no instructions
Your feedback motivates me to create more content. Thank you!
I’m struggling with how to end the row , what’s a half double crochet?
Sorry I missed this message! Start the video here and you can slow it down to see how i do this stitch :) ruclips.net/video/PG1D0cbCEgY/видео.htmlsi=cT5vg25-xHOlu5Ps&t=1073
@@prettydarnadorable thank you so much! You are so kind 😊
I found them. Yeah!!!!!😇😇😇
I'm not understanding row 3 so we go into the double crochet then into the skipped chain then back into the DC?
she can correct me if I'm wrong, dc in the top stitch of the dc below. This pattern is a tricky one. I was hopeing she would've taken more time to explain the multicolored one at the end. I know she used 3 colors but do you fasten off each time or can you carry the 3 threads as you go from row to row?
What hook are you using? (Brand) and where can I find them? It is so cute! And thank you for the great tutorial!
I made it :). The hook part is susan bates i think you can find those pretty much anywhere :)
Could I get a close up photo of where I’m supposed to put the stitches in row three?? 😩
Sorry Rebecca for the long response time - do you want to send me a photo and i can mark it up. I don't have one partially worked up at the moment to use. cyprianne@prettydarnadorable.com
@@prettydarnadorable I just returned to this video forgetting that I tried it before and I ran into the same problem and just saw your response to my comment 😂 I will email you thank you so much
I was wondering have you ever used this yarn I love this cotton yarn to make a wash cloth. It is sold at hobby lobby stores
Hey Adeana - I haven't I'm in Canada so no Hobby Lobby here :(. But I will have a look for it on Amazon. You like it? I have noticed some new cotton yarns at Micheals am thinking to give those a try next :)
@@prettydarnadorable so far. I just got some yesterday spent almost 52 dollars for the yar because I got different colors for different wash cloths and coasters.
@@adeanaw3890 Sounds like a great haul!!! :
Love this! Thank you! Where did you get your Hook grip? So cute!
Thank you :). I actually made it! They are easier than you would think - well the way i did it anyways.
@@prettydarnadorable how did you make your grip
I had some trouble with keeping the edges straight. I had to frog several rows but overall I did well with the edges. I used a pretty pink for my washcloth.
Bravo for keeping with it! Whenever I have that problem - and believe me I do when i get engrossed in a show and stop counting. I do a border of single crochet - I find that helps :)
Did you say your name is Briann my baby I lost 4 yrs ago I named her Brianna Xmas is hard on me thank you hearing that name helped I hope you understand 💓🙏🌲💞
Pamela - I am so sorry for your loss - I can only imagine how hard that must be. Hugs and healing thoughts your way. xo
Thank you
You are very welcome - I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you
Lovely
Thank you :)
do you end every row with a double crochet or a half double crochet?
HDC will look cleaner but either would work :)
Peace love beautiful
Hi! I relike this pattern.
I'm having trouble with the count. I started with 34 chains and I end up with 31 stitches - 16dc and 15 ch sp. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Please help.
+roseann1973 that’s perfect because when you working from the fourth chain from the hook, those three chains disappear and become your first double crochet and chain stitch so you should have 31 stitches once you do that
@@prettydarnadorable on your website pattern it says 30? Which is it?
I’m in row 3
I thought that you fluctuated between teaching to a very beginner and a more advanced person at times. Elaborately showing dc then not showing the stitch marker or how to attach it. Also, closer video of the holes you worked into on the more complex stitches would have been helpful. Perhaps targeting videos to levels of experience would be helpful? On an ending note, the pattern is lovely and your voice is nice. Ty for the video
Thanks so much for the feedback - it will help me do better videos!
@@prettydarnadorableyour vids are amazing
I’ve been crocheting off and on for years but have never been very good at it…. I love to be as confident as you are… my main problem has been yarn tension learning how to hold my yarn and such… but the other day I was watching videos and a sweet woman got on and said for your starting chain use a size bigger hook such as chain with a 6 then crochet with a 5 oh my what a game changer….
What yarn are you using ? Blair I love your work !!!!
It is Bernat Handicrafter. -and thank you!
@@prettydarnadorable thanks you so much your work is stunning 😍
I’m having a problem with the corners any suggestions
Me too
What are the specific yarn colors? Is it Sugar N Cream brand? I’m particularly wanting to know the name of the light pink/light peach color?
Hi Becky it is actually called light pink :)
Muy bonito sus trabajos he buscado ese estambre y no lo encuentro me gusta mucho si textura no puede traducir a español x favor he hecho varias cosas por que explica muy bien saludos desde Saltillo Coahuila México
Hi nice tutorial did you use polymer clay to make your grip handle? What part of Canada are you from? I'm in Nanaimo British Columbia.
Hey Sharon - I did! I used to make all kinds of hooks but that was years ago. My hands are getting older (LOL well the rest of me too) and i find them a little to heavy now. I am in Ontario :). We are planning a trip to BC most likely next year I have never been but cannot wait to see it!
@@prettydarnadorable you will love BC if you come

Where and how do I do the time stamp?
I’m so sad… I was doing really well until I hit row three and I couldn’t tell where to make the stitch…it was too hard for me to see. I’m going to keep trying :(
First, let me say I'm sorry for the ridiculous long response time. How did you make out?
At the end of your first row i noticed you didnt chain, then make your last stitch. But then when you continued after a pause, there was was extra chain. Did you forget and did it off camera without saying anything or did I miss something?
*second row
Thanks Neysha - looks like i missed that one! Yes please do a chain 2 at the end of row 1! 😍
Is this a good for a baby gift??
I wouldn't have thought of it - but if you made them out of really soft yarn oh my gosh it would be so sweet!
I want to use cotton. I am currently making my daughter one of these "dish clothes" for her as a baby shower gift and going to buy more matching yarn to make her a little kitchen/hand towel. Which ever she chooses to use it for. You are so easy to follow and I can't thank you enough for making videos that have helped me find my way on my journey. You are so talented and are such a gift for all of your followers.
@@wildchild2351 You made my day! Thank you so much! I'm sure your daughter will love it! My mom knits and I treasure everything she made for my kids - they are teenagers now but i have things wrapped and stored for when they have children of their own. xo
Where can I get one of those hook grips?!
Crochet hooks?
Bernat handicrafter does not pull from the center in the small balls
Ha - well now I know! Thank you :)
Can you put stitch marker in so I can see
Hi Stacey - that is a really good point moving forward I will be sure to do that! Sadly I'm too late for this video :(. I hope you made out okay with it anyways? Perhaps I will do a new one showing how to change colours for the three colour version. xo
@@prettydarnadorableI have recently found your channel as ai reacquaint myself with crocheting-:) I would also like to see the placement of stitch counters, I think this will be very helpful for especially those of us who are beginners😃👍🏼. Thank you for your time in showing detailed steps, as I am a visual learner😃👍🏼
I have been crocheting for 20+ years. Not expert. When I follow your instructions, the first row of double crochet gives me 31 stitches. I have frogged 4 times now and redone watching video and I still come up with 31 stitches.
I think so but if your reading the instructions of her website, it says 30 (for the smaller cloth).
Why does the 3 colors look like 2? Pink and white? It’s very pretty but I can’t see the third color, lol.
Yes I agree. It is light pink white and bright pink.
It’s probably just the way the camera captured it. Very pretty though!
@@theastewart6721 yes I think so. Lesson learned. Next time will use darker colours 😊
It’s really no big deal. I was just curious. After all, it came out lovely!
I also was doing well until third row. Could not see where you put your hook. You went to fast.
I'm grateful for your constructive criticism. I'll work on improving for next time.
How do I change the colors every row?
+Sharin Ochs exactly use three colours to achieve the same look
@@prettydarnadorable but how do I change the colors? How do I do that?
+Sharin Ochs sorry Sharon just seeing this. At the end of each row finish your stitch with the new colour. Let me know if you would like a video.
@@prettydarnadorable yes can you make a video please that would be perfect 💚
