Hi Robin, do you allow the finished item to be sold with credit to your pattern or would you prefer not to have that happen. I always like to check. Thank you.
I'm currently working on a scarf with this stitch. It's going to become a pocket scarf once it's done. It's a fun stitch and works up fairly fast. Great texture that photography doesn't do it justice. Everyone should try it if they haven't already, just to see it in person.
Love this stitch and your channel. This pattern is a great one for animals in shelters or at home, as it is closed together and they can not get their claws through it.
What a surprise for me! I did a number of afghans w/this pattern years ago when I was just beginning my crocheting. I’d bought a bag at a yard sale w/books, scraps of notes for crocheting for $.50. This pattern was on a scrap of paper. I tried it, loved it and called it my “Up and Down” pattern. Robin, so it has a name huh? Well, “Up and Down” has worked for years! 😅
just found your videos and am soooo happy... i needed some new kind of stitch types and you explain them so well... this has sparked me into making up alot of yarn i want to use to make up things to donate... thank you so much!!
I'm very happy to know a new stitch now. I think I'll use it for a bunch of things just so I can practice it until I memorise it. Thank you for making this video.
I have seen so many vedio of this Stich but always get confused. U explained it in so simple way. Thanks alot i m going to use it for making a rectangular ponchu.
This stitch makes for a great houndstooth effect when working it in stripes! I made a Halloween set with black, green, orange and purple and it made a fun houndstooth mock look for Halloween
@@HookedbyRobin I am working on dishcloths for my Christmas presents to friends and relatives right now. I like this stitch since it comes out a tighter weave and thicker. 😊
I just love your videos and very pretty nails, and your beautiful creations. This crochet cloth reminds me of the ones that my late mother made along with some homemade dish soap that she then wrapped together in a clear package for gifts. The yarn is super soft and gentle to use for washing your body and face.
I'm always so envious of the yarns I see in tutorials. I live in a very small town in Australia. I don't do online ordering so am very limited as to what I can get in the couple of stores I have access to.
I am making this into a shawl for my daughter. I am also making it with the foundation in cream color and using various colors and yarn types as the woven part to hopefully get a more bohemian look.
Hi Robin! What a great and easy stitch. I will definitely make something using it. Maybe a scarf/hat set. Thanks for sharing your stitches with the crochet community. 🌹’s Crochet 🌺🧶🌸
Thank you Robin for another great tutorial. I'm definitely going to make a couple of dishcloths for a friend, but I would like to try this for a scarf. Thank you again God bless and stay safe. From Canada
This stitch worked with 2 stands of color changing yarn makes gorgeous blankets. I tend to use 2 diffrent colors changing skeins such as Hobby Lobbys Strawberry Swirl and Licorice Jellybean. 10 mm hook ❤
I love your tutorial! I just found one for an adorable drawstring bag that looks like a yellow lemon, with green leaves. But it’s done in the single crochet and I wanted to know if I could change it to the lemon peel stitch. Yes I can and I’m so excited to make next level! It’s for my daughter for her birthday. She has the word lemon in her username & she’ll love it.
@@charlenerenee7751 No, it's just that the way she has the yarn wrapped in her fingers. There are a number of ways to do it. I was remarking that this is the way I do it. Some people wrap it around their pinkies and hold the yarn in the air with their index. That is different than this way of holding it.
Robin when I try to crochet a dishcloth for some reason at the end of my project it is either wider or narrower, I'm pretty sure it has to do with my tension do you have any suggestions on how I can correct this. Thanking you in advance.
Hi Robin, what yarn (and what size hook) do you use in the Lemon Peel stitch for a dish cloth or face washer, please? Is it knitting cotton or some other yarn?

Hi Robin...I would like to make a lap pillow and I think this may be a good stitch...do you think the stuffing would pop through? Any tips on avoiding that please? TIA!
Hi Jane, I would suggest making a small sample first and seeing.😀 It depends on the yarn you are using, your tension etc, so I couldn't say for certain.x
know you don't make Minecraft plushies but it would mean the world to me if you do a tutorial for a Minecraft Moobloom Plushie. Ive been trying to find a plushie to buy for my daughter but they are all sold out and that's all she wants for Christmas, so I figured I can crochet one for her. But I don't really know how. So if you can please please please can you make a Moobloom Plushie tutorial. Thank you!!!! :)))
I love this stitch, but it doesn't love me! I have started a blanket 3 times! I count and count and count, but by the 3rd row - EVERY TIME!!!! - I am no longer ending on a double crochet as I should be. I'm not an experienced crocheter, but I'm not a newbie either! This is so frustrating. Now it's to the point where I refuse to let this blanket beat me!
Some even have the gut to claim it and sell the technique on etsy and title it as new stitch pattern. It's no uncommon these days, many of these crochet influencers copy the pattern from others and make it look like they create themselves.

It is SO hard to capture the gentle texture in photos isn't it? A pocket scarf sounds like it will be lovely and warm 😍

Why does it called “lemon peel”?
I think it's because of the slight "bumpy" texture; like what you see on some lemons, oranges, etc.
