Hi Robyn, I just wanted to say the same as Robyn, you are a fantastic teacher and the video is excellent. I can finally see how I have been losing stitches... that pesky end stitch! Thanks so much x@@HookedbyRobin
I am so happy that I came across your videos/tutorials. I am a very visual learner and need to see the stitches in motion to learn them. This is now the 3rd stitch that I have learned from your videos, particularly to make dish clothes. (Perfect way to learn a stitch - a small project that if you mess up... whatever. It's just a dish cloth! Haha!) Thank you so much! Happy crocheting!
Thankyou Robin, I've been crocheting for many, many years but could never get the hang of this lovely simple stitch!!! 👵🏻👵🏻👵🏻 But thanks to your tutorial, I've finally cracked it 😀😀😀So you CAN teach an old dog new tricks 👍 I love watching your tutorials, all so nicely explained !!! 😊😊😊
Thanks for the tip about including the final stitch in the row (the one that wraps up from the previous row). That fixed the error I was making in the trinity stitch!
You teach in such a wonderful way. Love the stitches and patterns you have. I've been crocheting 51 yrs and i still learn so much from you. Thank You so much Terri
I finally finished the blanket I started on a whim using this stitch. I LOVE IT. This is by far my favorite stitch, I never got tired of it. And I made a big blanket lol. Thank you so much, Robin for sharing it and your clear instructions. You are one of my favorite RUclips crochet channels ❤
Wow! At last, crochet tutorials that are great for beginners and not a snooze for more experienced crocheters. Really love the annotations on the handy divided time line, too! I'm subbing right now!!
You are a great teacher! We’re you ever a school teacher? You are very mindful of repeating the steps verbally to help us commit it to memory as we go along. Actually you are much better than any formally trained teacher I had at school. Thank you for the huge array of stitches and really good quality tutorials. Also interesting to see how you tension your yarn and hold your hook, seems much easier than the more common style used, I’m going to try and do it your way as I find I end up having to remind myself to loosen up my tension on my yarn and hook like holding a pen or pencil too tight whilst writing. ❤️
I've missed your tutorials. I like how you teach us some brand new stitched in such a simple way. And for some reason I find your videos very relaxing 😅
Hi Robin. I love your tutorials and am currently crocheting a shawl for my daughter with one of the patterns you've shared on your channel. I haven't tried the trinity stitch yet, but it's LOVELY and I already have two ideas for how to use it. I will use it to make a 3rd dishcloth for my daughter(already made two others with other stitches) And I'll use it to make a bag for my beads and prayer book(I'm a practicing Buddhist) One cool thing about using it for my bead/ prayer book bag is the trinity/three idea. Three is also a significant number in my spiritual practice. Thanks for all you share. I must agree with comments made by many others... you are a wonderful teacher!🙂
Yours was the 3rd video I watched on this stitch. Yours made the most sense. The others were very confusing as they started the second row. It felt like they were saying "into the chain-1 space" when they meant "into the trinity cluster," and vice versa. You were crystal-clear as to what to do in the second row. Thanks!
I wanted thank you for all these tutorials you've created for us! I haven't crocheted since I was 12. Now I am 40 and am almost finished with my first blanket. I will be creating this trinity stitch as my next lap blanket for my sweetheart mother in law. Anyways been watching g you the past two years and thank you again. Stay awesome and unique. Hugs from Shana
Thank you for making this stitch clear. I read other instructions that did not clarify the need to NOT chain 1 at the end, but to begin and end with a single crochet! So very helpful! Thank you!
I’m making a patchwork cardigan and its mostly shades of gray and white, so I’m flipping through all your stitch videos like this so I can make them all different for a little more visual interest, so thanks for your help!
Robin this is a beautiful stitch. I have not used this stitch before. I believe this would make lovely placemats for my kitchen table. Thank you for this well explained tutorial. Love ❤️
Hi Robin! Yes, I have used this stitch before and can you take a grab at who taught it to me? Yes, you! I've made a scarf once and a set of wash cloths for a friend. 😊😍 I think I'll give it a go again as it's been awhile. Thank you for being a great instructor of crochet! ❤️
I'm starting some new dish towels now! It's been long over due but I've not been able to land on a pattern that inspired me....LOVE this one. It's new for me and I can't wait to finish dinner so I can get on it! Thank you so much ....you have an amazing teaching talent!
Has anyone made a blanket with this stitch? I’m tempted just because I don’t love how most blanket stitches are indeed “holy!” LOVE the tutorial by the way, this may be a hot take but I appreciate that you don’t have distracting music in the background or in the spots where you aren’t talking! 💕
Tysm!! I've avoided this stitch for so long because i just thought it was really difficult, i tried it with another youtuber and it bedazzled me the way they explained it - so confusing! Thankfully peace has been attained and i love this stitch 😍
Thank you for this tutorial. I am using this stitch to make my father a Chemo blanket. He was diagnosed with throat cancer and I know chemo messes with your body temperature because you lose all body hair. This stitch is perfect because it is closed. I appreciate you giving your time to teach. 🙏🏽
See measurement tip below! Thanks again Robin for your most excellent tutorial of the Trinity stitch! I just love it! This stitch has worked out perfectly for the washcloths that I’m making and as you said, it’s a dense pattern and the edges stay straight and hold their edge! There is one tip that I’d like to share about measuring. I found that I needed to chain an extra inch to get the desired length. For example: I wanted a 7” finished washcloth, but to get that, I had to make a chain of 8”. Did anyone else find this true?
Good morning Miss Robin! I wanted to thank you for this tutorial. I have made dishcloths for my kitchen for many years, I couldn't tell you the last time I bought commercial made cloths. This is by far the BEST stitch I have ever used. The density of the stitch really is perfect for them and they are pretty to look at as well. Thanks again for your work!
Hi Robin! I would love to use this stitch on a Pocket Shawl for a friends daughter who has been dealing with back pain issues. Our Women's Bibles study group will pray over the completed shawl. Thank you, for this wonderful and easy to follow tutorial. 🌻🌞🌻
I really do like your tutorials I've made plenty of afghans for my family with them now this stitch will be added to my collection thank you keep up the great work
I made a hot mat by using miscellaneous leftover yarn. Added a scalloped border. It ended up being about 10 x 10”. Blue with a turquoise boarder. I see what you mean by stitching loosely. I enjoy learning new stitches and you are very patient and easy to understand. Thank you ❤❤❤
Your teaching technique is spot on ! Was trying this stitch using another site but was not told about the "tricky bit at the end of the row". Following your instructions has allowed me to create a much nicer project. Thank you again !🍻
Working on this beautiful easy quick stitch!! I'm using a chunky #5 yarn and a 10mm hook and I've changed it up a bit by doing my stitches in the back loop after the first row. It creates a little ridge, so pretty and it's not quite as dense. Wishing you a very happy holiday season ☺️
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I just love watching your videos. As a crochet newbie, I appreciate your wonderful explanations and easy to follow directions. Thanks again!
GREAT GREAT JOB!!! Super easy to follow AMAZING TIPS!!! Thank you for this awesome tutorial!! I TRIED to follow some printed instructions but got LOST on 1st stitch of 1st row!!! I HATE TRIAL AND ERROR! so I stopped and found your awesome tutorial! You are a GREAT TEACHER!
I have always loved the look of this stitch and want to make myself a lovely, large bag to stash a WIP in so I can carry it wherever I go. THis is astonishingly simple; I thought it would be much more difficult. Thanks for the great tutorial!
I've not come across this stitch before, it looks nice, and easy to try. I've wanted to make a cross body bag, and this stitch looks perfect for the project. Lovely tutorial, makes it all clear and is easy to follow.
This is a wonderful stitch and your explanations are very easy to understand ( even for a french people like me ) . You're such a good crochet teacher . Thank you so much and I'm going to start a baby blanket with this stitch Greetings from France
I love this stitch! Something about the flow and repitition , it is very soothing. I've tried a swatch in a 4 worsted and a 5 chunky. Just beautiful! I think it's going to be a favorite. Thank you.
I did a practice run and found it very easy but when completed it looks difficult to do!! I love it and will crochet a baby blanket with this stitch!! Thankyou for this tutorial!!!
Hi Robin, I've been following you for quite a while now but it's the first time I post a comment. I like that your nails are always clean. You explain things so nicely & I just love you work. I'm going to make a throw with this stitch Thank you foe sharing. 😎🦋
I’ve never tried this stitch but I think I’ll make a scarf with it. That color way of the yarn you’re using is gorgeous. I might have to get some of that (like I need more yarn 😳😝). Thanks for your great tutorials!
I really love this stitch so easy yo do and my afghan for my nephew is going to nice than I thought. It's orange, green, red and yellow...his choice so I'm so glad I found your video. Started this morning and it already looks great!
Thank you so much for making this so easy to follow. I have been asked to make wash cloths for my soon to be daughter in law. And I have tried a few stitches and they are hard for me to follow. I love how easy you make it to follow. Thank you
Thank you for this tutorial i love this stitch. I am making 4 scarves and i wanted to do different styles. I already made 2 so now i can use this trinity stitch for 1 of the remaining scarves. Thank you again for sharing.... 😊👏
I just got into crocheting and I love watching your tutorials until I can actually get the crocheting supplies in Christmas(I’m 11, lmao)I love your videos
Yes i love the trinity stitch it looks really pretty i think i mabe have a try to do it, you can only but try and you are right i would have to go up a full mm hook size because I am a very tight crochet thank you you make everything look so easy
Oh my gosh, my NEW FAVORITE stitch! It's lovely. I like it way more than the similar-looking Suzette stitch. Thank you. You're instructions were perfect. 💕
I just came across this tutorial and love the simplicity of the stitch. I think I will definitely be giving this a go with some variegated yarn I have been dying to use. :)
I'm doing the Trinity Stitch as part of a Sampler Afghan. I was belated that I was doing it correctly. It just didn't look right to me yesterday. Thanks for the tips. I may need to start over now that I've seen your tutorial.
I just had a wee chuckle, because as you said that, “…you may want to use your fingernail to get the hook into the stitch…”, I had already done this, and knew per usual, my tension was a tad tight. I did try to make the stitches a tiny bit looser, but it just happens! 😊 Thank you for a very helpful tutorial.
3:12 Thanks Robin for yet another beautiful stitch tutorial. I’ve just started a massive throw with this stitch in super chunkified ( my word) yarn and it’s lush!. You’re a star 😊🙏
Thank you for showing so many different stitches for crocheting. I have try some of them and like the way they look. But the one I pick out to make a throw took so much yarn up I took it apart and found this one. I like the way you don't see any holes in the fabric. To me it make it warmer, no breeze comes through.
