Love this!! I made a reusable “pad” for my swifer duster out of 100% cotton yarn - works great and I just throw it in the washer and hang it to dry - have used it dry and damp on my floors -

Thank you for this tutorial! I found this just in time. My mom crocheted Christmas stockings for our family & then the kids in the family. Since she passed away in 2001 there have been no more stockings. I recently found her pattern & I’m attempting to make one for my new son-in-law. The main body is easy, just single crochets. The cuff at the top is this loop stitch & it is what worried me the most. So, thank you! I feel more confident now. 😊

Many years ago, when I was pregnant with my first born, I made a bright yellow hooded jacket using the loop stitch in knitting. It came out beautifully but this looks like it would go much faster than knitting did. My son looked like Big Bird from Sesame Street when he wore his jacket! 💖😂

I found this video when I was looking up how to make curly hair for a Queen doll for Jubilee.
I discovered that I was unable to use my finger to make the loop and keep them uniform in diameter, as I hold the wool strangely (I blame it on being left-handed, but being taught how to crochet right-handed!). I managed to get around this by looping the yarn around a pencil - as if I were crocheting around a hoop - then pulling the pencil out of the loop once made.
I think if you are working in straight lines, then a knitting needle or something with the needed diameter would work well. As I am trying to make a cap wig, then perhaps a bendy hair curler would work, as you could curve it around as you crocheted the round. As I don’t have a bendy hair curler however I can’t test this option out 😂

I had seen it used on baby uggs but not used it. A few yrs ago I saw a video using it to make a few Christmas trees. I made several small trees as package toppers. I need a refresher if II'm going to use it again. Good refresher Thx.

I have at the top of a little pouch but I'm certain I didn't execute it properly. I mean it has stayed in place just fine but I love this method, Robin. I'll design a fun 👜 using the Loop Stitch!

Thank you for this awesome tutorial! I have a pattern for an Amigurumi -type of house plant called Donkey’s Tail. Now the pattern is more doable. You’re the best!! P.S. This is the most awkward stitch I’ve ever crocheted. I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it, but damn, my fingers aren’t cooperating.
