Can you tell me when a pattern say knit 6 rows...do you knit a row, then pearl a row or just knit back n forth...thanks..love your instructions

If it says knit six rows that sounds like knit every row (or knit back and forth) to me (which would create Garter stitch).
Unless it is telling you specifically to work Garter stitch or Stockinette stitch (by saying something like 'knit six rows of Stockinette stitch). In that case, it would be knit one row, purl one row, repeat for four more rows (for Stockinette stitch).

Hello. Could I please have your help?? When I’m knitting if I’m knitting the right side. Is it facing me
    Or away from me?

If you're knitting the right side then it is facing you as you knit.

Hello, so when you cast on then start garter stitch row, that is the right side row before turning to start new row, correct?

    • @NerdyKnitting
      @NerdyKnitting  Год назад

It can be - Garter stitch is reversible so you could choose the side you want to be the right side.

"After casting on the stitches, when you begin to knit, the tail of the yarn is in your right hand, that will be the right side. The tail of the yarn in the right hand will be the right side of the garment."

I’m sending this question out there hoping some new information would come to me as I am a new knitter in the round. The right side of my project in my last cowl was showing up on the inside not the side facing me. It came out beautiful but I couldn’t really see it till I was done. Now I decided to try a hat I did the brim and then stockinette for 5 rows. Now the pattern is calling for a leaf that has small cables. The tutorial of these leaves shows her doing cables in the flat so the floats are on the wrong side. When Working in the round when I slip the stitches and create a float should I keep yarn in back which pUTS the floats on the inside WR SIDE. the pattern does not indicate wrong side right side because it in the round so now I’m so confused why did my last beautiful project show the right side on the inside the pattern does not indicate doing reverse stitches

Has your project turned itself 'inside out'? You can just flip it so the right side is on the outside again. If you are knitting in the round then you want to follow the pattern, don't reverse anything.

I’m knitting moss stitch & the pattern states commence pattern on the wrong side, can you tell which side is the wrong side by which end of the knitting needle the cast on tail is on? Example pointed end is right side or end of needle is wrong side? Please can anyone help me??

Just have to say, that color looks amazing on you!!!! wow!! I can't wear that color at all but you were made for it.
So.. I have learned a lot in this video but I still have questions.. I am following a cable chart someone did on a circular needle (I am a beginner just practicing) but I wonder if I need to do the stitches opposite from the chart every row? rather confusing. I was counting everything perfectly but the cable just got cut off after the initial row with reverse stockinette. It's confusing to think about having to do the opposite from a pattern? I hope you get what I mean.

    • @NerdyKnitting

Thank you for the compliment! If they are knitting in the round then they always have the Right Side facing them (so no working Wrong Side rows). If you want to work the same pattern flat then, yes, you will have to work some rows of the chart with Wrong Side rows. But, generally, with cable patterns, the wrong side rows are very easy to work - you usually just have to knit the stitches that look like knit stitches and purl the stitches that look like purl stitches.

My god you are totally confusing me.
I knitted my stitches on just like you did. My wool tail was on left. My first row the tail was on the left side.
Which side is the right side?
Tail on left or tail on right which is tip of needle?
