Mr. TheKnowley, I have a daring challenge run proposal for you: beat career mode with the payday gang's favorite gear by using A.I. to determine what that would be. (example: roll a wheel to pick a character, whatever chatacter it lands on, use chatgtp to ask them questions that'll determine your build like, if you roll dallas, and you ask him favorite weapon, and he says akimbo judge shotgun primary and commando rocket launcher secondary, then you'd have to be rocking those weapons for 20 levels or so. i know i would love to see this video as it would leave for a wild rild of a career mode while exploring weapons that usually nobody would touch. hope this makes it into a video! ( good luck!)
Most characters have an in-lore favorite weapon, usually the gun that comes with their character pack. For sokol, it's his Valkyria. For Jimmy, his Heather SMGs. For Jacket, his piece, and so on.
Funny thing is, even if you dont go for crits the campbell is still a godly primary. You can still net 80/80 stats with the flamethrower, letting you have a shield deterrent and still have enough for snipers. It has become my favorite jack of all trades gun for my saw build.
With the Deimos losing it AP in-between builds and Kknowley figuring out the true strengths of the Campbell 74, it looks like his opinions have switched.
You can have an LMG with perfect 100 in both accuracy and stability. This kind of power was never meant to be in human hands. Also micro uzi is my go to smg for crit lmg builds. Decent damage, makes use of body expertise, and high concealment
I dunno if you'd do it Kknowley, but the last gear run-throughs of "the best AR," "the best LMG" (and so on) are from 2-3 years ago.... Meta has changed big time and the stats even more so... So it would be interesting to hear what an avid Payday 2 player today would say are the best and worst weapons of each type Just a passing thought lol, love the vids and your content!
A final review of all of Payday 2s various facets would be an incredible video. A lot of effort, and likely a decent length series, but incredible all the same.
Ive tested this build out, and a good way to get a more reliable secondary would be to replace Lock N' Load Aced with Fire Control Aced. Gives 12 accuracy to weapons when fired from the hip meaning we can snag the Lugosi Barrel for more concealment, at the tradeoff of some stability. Allows to bettee use the Copycat reload mechanic which can lead to some more unique gameplay. Just a suggestion for anyone wanting some slight alteration!
This gun is real, but instead of a flamethrower it has a grenade launcher. KAC made this gun not only as a joke but because they were just fucking around for fun. That's America for you.

They need to either lower the concealment values or lower the stats gained from the harness (I personally like this option more, it's still be pleanty usable in a crit build without having that extra 24/20 ACC/STA). As the LMG is right now, it beats the Akimbo Bizon's in sustainability and offers comparable DPS and handling, which just isn't OK when the 100 damage akimbo SMG class is already overtuned as is.
Can you beat payday2 as Patrick Bateman? You get a little amount of choices from what you can and can't use. Would be pretty interesting for how it would go.
Me when op stuff got nerfed (its so unfair that i cant abuse it as much) ((except you still can and its still stupid good, but not as busted as before))
If anything had to be nerfed please don't let it be concealment. I'd be fine with lowering its rate of fire or decreasing the overtuned attachment that buffs your stability. I wish that there were more options to run crits on LMGs in payday 2 especially when there are attachments floating around that tease you with a random +1 concealment.
I tried to give the flamethrower and the convo a shot…but there’s too many downsides. A: Horrendous damage. B: The flamethrower has little to no ammo, even IF you do just tap fire it. C: no attachments with the exclusive set aside from the flamethrower (I know most sets are line that, but most you can still add and take some attachments).
Could I somehow make this into a tank/dmg build ? Perhaps using kingpin or anarchist maybe then with the judge as my secondary and just thre heavy armour ?
Praying they don't nerf this into the ground and make it suck. That would be so sad. It's such a cool LMG. Ideally, they'd nerf its concealment while buffing the, in my limited experience, pretty useless flamethrower.
I'd probably drop Lock'n' Load Aced and Dire Need if I just wanted basic Inspire, and maybe Duck and Cover Aced and Unseen Strike to Ace it out? I definitely agree to a point. The problem arises when you’re using a very spray oriented play style that relies on landing shots to stay alive. Going down because you haven’t clicked a head to activate bullseye/prospect can really hurt a build like this one.
Sometimes the glass cannon style can be very fun like I have been having with the Campbell using the exclusive set and using full body expertise, full crits and berserker to compensate. 1 major thing to mention is that using the Campbell in this way is very unstable and absolutely requires quick tap fires to reliably hit enemies from somewhere around mid range and absolutely necessary to hit anything long range. I do use the static recoil mod so that's not helping.

this is the same company that thought giving SMGs damage fall-off of 0.5 after 11m was supposed to make them balanced. Besides i think they definitely intended this gun to be this way, first we got versteck which is basically ak-17 with more ammo, but handling isn't technically perfect, then we got akron which does handle rather well but loses out some ammo pickup, and now this, which handles well, has good ammo pickup and have no downsides.
Besides if you remember that they tried to reduce lmg recoil in damage range multipliers open beta too, what we get makes perfect sense. They want to break everything but first they had to break up the community that lashed out so they don't oppose the changes. This gun exists in the game yet people don't even care anymore.
I am just glad that development is about to end, modders and players will pick up the pieces once starbreeze takes their hand off.
