- The day of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral has been one of majesty and remembrance.

A day when many came together for the Queen. First at the state funeral, attended by hundreds of politicians and world leaders and then, as Queen Elizabeth made her final journey back to Windsor Castle, to be buried beside her husband Prince Philip.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, in the service at Westminster Abbey, said the Queen had touched "a multitude of lives", and it was a multitude who turned out on the streets today, lining the route of the procession as the state hearse passed by, the Queen's coffin draped with the Royal Standard and garlanded in flowers.
A day like no other in recent history.

Doesn't matter how old you are, losing your parent is awful. Queen Elizabeth was lucky to be able to watch her own children grow well into old age and they were equally as lucky to have had her as their mother for so long.

Elizabeth's funeral showed the world just how special the British monarchy and it's traditions are. Seeing those Royal navy sailors pulling her gun carriage flanked by feather helmeted Calvary officers sent shivers down millions of spines. Absolutely proud of our Nation. Stop those who put this nation down. This truly is Great Britain.

I fear that the Monarch's that follow will not enjoy the love and respect on the same level as Queen Elizabeth ll was loved and respected
Unfortunately her children by and large have lacked the moral compass of their parents
We have the current King who was apparently having an affair while still married to Diana, which shows really bad judgement and morals
It's hard to imagine the Public showing the same level of love and respect as his mother commanded

Seeing the Queen's coffin descending to her final resting place was what really got me. It made the whole thing so real and final. To top it off, seeing the King's face absolutely broke me. 😭 He lived more than half of his life with his mum, and when she passed, not only did he lose her but he was given this huge responsibility of ruling a kingdom too. I know he has been trained for this all his life, but I still think he probably wished his mum was back so she can show him the ropes. King or not, you will never not need your mum..
Sending my deepest sympathies to our friends in the UK and the Commonwealth. Also, I hope the Royal Family will have anopportunity to grieve properly, and may they find comfort amongst themselves.

I do feel for the king because he waited patiently and being a good son who loves to see his mom alive and beside him despite they are all grown old. Well I relocated at a very young age. So hard to say goodbye to someone who was always there. You knew that one day she would go, but that doesn't prepare you at all for when that day appears. I revere her with such deep and heartfelt respect. I love the way she loved people.

People queing for over 24 hours to pay there respect in person, as Her Majesty served us for the past 70 years in the last 10 days or so the British people have shown there appreciation. In summary for me personally it has been a bitter sweet time that I will never forget.
The one year anniversary of the Queen's passing on September 8th is fast approaching. I felt compelled to re-watch her funeral as I still have a hard time accepting that we will never see her again. I guess this is part of my grieving process. I never knew life without her until her death. She was a guiding light, a pillar of strength, integrity, and constancy, not only me but for people all over the world. I will always miss her. Rest easy now, my Queen, you have fulfilled your duty to your people with immense humility, grace, and love.

I've never been a big fan of the Royal family but after today seeing the Queens funeral it was absolutely mesmerising and I feel totally different now on how I feel about the Royal family, its made me realise that the history is very important to this country and she will never be forgotten for her service, RIP her Majesty and long live our new King 🙏

Having been born in 1949, I grew up with this amazing woman in service to her people. I'm an American, but I had a great admiration for this wonderful woman. A great woman has passed from our midst and we will never see another like her. God bless the Queen.

I was invited to watch the Coronation of the Queen on a neighbor's TV as our family had no TV. I was eight years old, and remember it vividly. I sadly watched through the night, as the Queen was laid to rest, and think this is the end of a tremendous reign and of an era, and it will never again be duplicated. No royalty in the world could ever match this celebration in the demise of a royal person! Long live the new King!

This was literally so sad, I don't know how the family kept it so calm and dignified, I would have cried several times. Looking at Charles made me shed a tear, forget the King status, he lost his beloved mother at 73, yes it is a blessing he had her for so long but can you imagine your mother being there throughout your whole long life then her passing (even though it had to happen one day) just feel for him. I didn't know the Queen personally, but I do respect her and she will always be my Queen.

Wow. I just got chills when the bells went off. It’s so so so surreal that she was queen nearly since a young lady until now. Just crazy to witness this.
Deeply sad to see this. They gave her an incredible send off. It couldn't have been anymore special. I feel deeply for the King. I'm not a royalist, yet I was deeply saddened to see this. After 58 years I know little of her personal life, but much of her public life. And this is a testament to the dedication she brought to service and duty, putting this ahead of her 'brand', that tiresome modern indulgence, that is often bought for cheap and sold for less. She was class. I never saw her in person, here in Canada. But watching this today I felt a longing to belong to the Commonwealth in a way I hadn't since maybe I was a little kid. I must say the ceremony was just beautiful. From the start till the Piper playing the Queen's waking tune,it was really History. When the crown was taken from the coffin,my heart sunk. This was like end of an era. Seeeing her coffin descending down the vault made me cry.

She was born a year and over a month after Queen Elizabeth, and was part of that same generation a hemisphere away. From when i was a child she was Queen, now as an adult she is gone.i feel as if part of my childhood is gone though i never knew her personally. No matter how you felt about her, she was Queen and part of history.

As an American, the only National Anthem that brings tears to my eyes is the Star Spangled Banner. But I have to admit, hearing "God Save the King" today did bring tears to my eyes. It really hit home when King Charles began to tear up during the congregation's singing of it. It's a comfort to know the Queen Elizabeth is finally reunited with her dear Prince Philip, her mother, her father and her sister in Heaven. May her spirit give Charles the support and strength to be loved as much as she was.
