Pro tip: 1. Mix 10% detergent and water and wet hands with it before touching and gliding over the sealant for a more even finish and no mess. 2. Use neutral cure silicone sealant for no vinegar smell when silicone cures. Cheaper Acetoxy cure sealant has that bad smell (releases acetic acid/vinegar)
Hey nice mazda 3 I have the same one same color. Question, what name brand flears u got and where from??? I recommend you the well window visor man the are flat and nice.
@Mankey mechanics what brand and type of silicone did you use? have you taken the flares off to see if the silicone doesn't damage the paint after removing the silicone?
Does this work as an adhesive as well? I installed a wald duckbill on my is250 and fitment is a little off so wanna use silicone to fill in the gaps. Hoping it holds as well. Looking at the permatex black silicone adhesive. Think that’ll work??
I’ve never done this, but 3M makes a body panel adhesive that cures like an epoxy, and it comes out of a caulk gun. I would probably use that if you’re worried about sticking the spoiler down well.

do not listen to this guy and use silicone sealant. you will get dust/dirt lines along the silicone sealant. what you need is painter's acrylic caulk.
