thanks for watching. my contact details are in the about section on my channel
Awesome box of castings . WOW . That old tractor is cool . That wrecker is great . Cool video.
Mike .
Cheers Mike, the tractor is definitely a big one ,thanks for watching my friend and all the best Martin 👍
Awesome stuff Martin and the white metal car was a 53 Buick Roadmaster, Tyrrell p34 and the AMC Marlin! You take care my friend
Thanks very much Paul for the inf my friend its really appreciated 👍
All the best
The kit car looks like an early 50's Buick Roadmaster. Great haul, thanks for sharing.
Thanks JG ,that's helpful my friend, I can now look it up .
All the best Martin 👍
Another interesting lot of donations and purchases again Martin, I particularly like the 2 Crescent Fordson tractors and the trailer Crapaud Nick sent you, also the Matchbox Kingsize Fordson tractor and the blue and white tipper trailer that you got in the job lot should hopefully be an easy restoration, just needing tyres and decals. The white metal kit that you think is a Hudson car might be from Model-Supplies. They do complete kits which are copies of original models, they're shown on their website. The Matchbox International Chevrolet car that's also a Dinky Toys model was a surprise, I didn't realise they marketed a model jointly. The yellow Dinky Singer Vogue looks interesting too, I don't know why they make strong money on eBay, the Dinky Vauxhall 101 cars are also expensive. Sorry to natter on so much, I could talk all night about models. Looking forward to next week's video, all the best. Peter.
Mattell resurrected the Dinky name back in mid-80's I think, with some US and british cars in 1:43 scale. for whatever reason they labelled them with "Matchbox as well while I remmeber MBVs being sold in tiny cardboard boxes with small windows in it, so you can't see what's inside... as though they tried to kill off the MB brand? don't try to understand managers and Marketing...
Cheers Peter, you natter away my friend, I will check out flowers regards the buick ,
Glad you liked my selection this month.
All the best Martin 👍
Hi mate great bunch of cars and spares. That idea you have of melting down the old clunkers and doing your own castings sounds very interesting I can't wait to see that. When you pulled out that 57 Chev I thought at first you had Plymouth Fury and we were going to see Christine do her own restoration. 🤣🤣😂😂 Blinking phones Juliet's one started running out of power to soon so I thought if she is going to throw it out anyway I would attempt the dreaded battery swap operation. Luckily I had a set of small screwdrivers with the right shape ends on them for the tiny screws and followed the guy on RUclips step by step hoping the old battery didn't get damaged and burst into flames. Managed to take the old one out put the new one in A N D no difference☹ it is still draining to fast. I think the phone is cramp act with useless updates and to many apps. Oh well it was worth a try. Stay safe mate and I'll catch you another day.👍🏻
Hi Geoff, yes hoping to have a go at some casting work, starting with simple resin casting door cards seat backs etc, plus try my had at vac forming window units, well that's the plan 😀
Flipping phones are a pain and dangerous by the sound of it .
All the best Martin 👍
Ah, that's actual a Buick!! Possibly a Road master. What great assortment of stuff!!
Thanks very much Mr BG ,that's a great help ,I can do some research now .
All the best Martin 👍
Awesome stuff Martin and the white metal car was a buick road master and I really love the Tyrrell p34 and the AMC Marlin!
Which year Buick Roadmaster is it? Who made the first die cast model - when & where?
Cheers shuan, that's very helpful, now I can look it up for colour and detailing.
The merlin is a brilliant looking car .I know you will have a kit of the racing car 🤣👍
All the best Martin
@martin dares dinky restorations. Hell Yeah and I also have a Johan kit of the marlin as well Martin! Lol 😆
Love the lot Martin ,will be some good videos out of these cars . Thank you for sharing your goodies with us
Thanks laz ,I have a long way to go to match your tonage of diecast 🤣🤣 all the best Martin
The model kit that says Ford and you think is a Hudson is actually an early 1950's Buick. The portholes on the front fenders are the giveaway. Ken from Los Angeles.
Thanks very much Ken, your a star my friend, I will look it up now 😀 👍
I used to work for a classic car show, you're right, the port holes are the giveaway. My hubby thinks it might be a 1953.
Thanks very much for the information it's much appreciated 😀

Just watched this video with my son, always enjoy these type of show and tell reveals, fascinating as to what you have sourced over past month👍 You are on the money there, in that the junk pieces are outweighed by the useful parts and pieces with possibilities. That Merc truck is a gem for sure. Nice find on the Bedford CA Corgi mechanised. Looking forward to the double header next week 👍
Thanks very much my friend iam pleased you enjoyed my selection this month.
All the best Martin
Hello Martin great video as always the car that you thought was a Hudson is a Buick you can tell by the front grill . The blue cab is a French Pahnard. The corgi l think could be a Popeye car .hope you and your family are keeping well regards Glyn
Thanks Glyn, that's very helpful information my friend and much appreciated 😀
Hi Martin, a nice lot of items here but the tanker has to be the DUEL in the bunch. All the best from Ian b & family.
Thanks Ian ,yes the tanker should come up well fingers crossed 🤞
All the best to you and the girls.
Pretty cool vehicles in there.
Have fun.
Thanks for sharing.
Have a great week my friend.
Thanks very much Charlie, you also have a good weekend my friend
A lot of interesting diecast this month Martin, always enjoy watching you go through all the good stuff, always something different to see & learn about 👍, When I go to my sister-n- laws indoor flea market I always keep my eye out for different diecast models. You take care my friend see ya! 👋😎🚙🚒🏍✈️
Thanks Jeff, you can't beat a good box of toys to rummage through.
Your sister in laws place sounds cool my friend.
All the best Martin 👍
Amazing! Plastcard still exists? I used to use it a lot in the early 70''s. The first old cars are Charbens Old Crocks series. The white metal kit is a Buick Roadmasrer! 1953.. You don't know Crawfords Biscuits? Come on! We're the same age. That PIE truck I have seen today for cale at £110! The white metal truck says it's an articulated transporter, whatever you want that be! The next video you do will be more exciting! You love toy Jaguars and can cast parts? Wait & see!
Thanks miss K for all the good information, yeah I do know Crawfords ,just wasn't sure weather dinky used it as a livery.
Sounds intriguing 🤔
All the best in Martin
I always like to see what you purchase it gives me ideas. I have the Corgi mechanical Dormobile video coming next week. Cheers Don ✌️😎
Thats cool Don ,have fun with it my friend, all the best Martin 👍
Lots of great future projects Martin, that one was a Buick, :) Cheers mate
Thanks Tom,that's a great help, now I can do some research on it .
All the best Martin
Another great assortment of goodies Martin. You know when you restore that car for your Mrs. You should do a mini diorama of a service station bowser next to it. 😅😉 Cheer's JV
🤣🤣 that sounds like a plan JV , thanks for watching my friend
Nice collection to work with to add to your collection.
Thanks Anthony, it's much appreciated my friend 😀
Another great haul - I'd murder for the cab off the Johnson Sweeper! The portholes on the white metal kit, along the front wings, would suggest Pontiac. One of those white metal guys would pass for James Dean beside the right Porker!
White metal casting, Martin? Are you planning a Lavender Hill Mob caper?
The Commer, the Rover 2000 (did I show you my 2000 Monte Carlo car in the snow?) and the Herald Coupé are on my want list.
The Dinky Singer Vogue casting will drill out OK as the headlamps on the casting are disproportionately small, so you should be fine with a conversion.
Cheers Fraser, yes there's some great potential among that lot ,
Yes thinking about doing some sand casting white metal parts ,not sure when .
I will puts some things aside for you ,for the next time your over here.
All the best Martin 👍
Hi Martin. That's a great lot. I think that kit is a 53 Buick Roadmaster. I could be wrong. I thought I was wrong once before but it turns out I was just mistaken.
No your not wrong ,apparently its a buick Road master.
The castings of the American ground crew came from a monogram kit of a p40 warhawk in flying tigers scheme as a plastic 1/48th scale kit, think I built it around 76 to 77,so looks like someone did the homecast moulds around then, still got the kit somewhere up the loft, wives don't forget, mine still brings up the fact I bought a paintball gun with electricity money over 30 years now.
🤣🤣 Nice, I thought I had seen those figures before, and you come to mention it I remember the kit .yes thay never forget a thing that's for sure ,All the best Martin 👌 👍
Hey Martin….SNAP !!! With the scammel container truck, surprised you didn’t comment on mine lol, like the Kermit car too yep your right do like the muppets having to work with muppets too lol 😂also do like the red n white rover sd1 too , pretty good collection there this month…actually seeing your two SD1’s my next two banger racing cars will be two of these
Yes when I saw yours I thought if I mentioned it it would give the game away lol 😆
Hi Martin it's Lee here the white metal kit you were looking at on you unboxing video today is a Buick special sedan from the earlie 1950's
Thanks Lee, that's really helpful and appreciated my friend
Always very nice 👍 thanks Lee
Cheers Lee my friend 👍
Nice haul again 👍🏻
I’d especially like to see that Buick kit done and the Bedford lorry but, as usual, I’ll enjoy watching anything you out out.
By the way, would you like to borrow my hammer to fix your phone? I used it when mine went runny and it fixed it very much to my satisfaction 😉
Thanks very much, it's a fun lot .
The hammer sounds like a plan 😂😂👍
My favourite time the rummage box,one thing why would superman have a vehicle the man can run,fly at the speed of light no need 😂
All the best my friend and thanks bud
Mark😊👍🏻
Now now mark ,old super mans been around a long time now so needs a rest now and again ,🤣🤣🤣 I hope all is well my friend.
All the best to you all
@@martindaredare hehehe me too the nutmegs are on the blink my friend 😊
🤣🤣🤣
Love your job lot box Martin, a few code 3’s coming up with those cabs? Always handy to have some rubbish, you never know when it may not be rubbish anymore, I never throw anything like that away lol! Nice haul again this month, I have refrained from buying anything this time around, so no purchases video for January from me lol. Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Cheers nick ,definitely can't have enough spare parts to use ,nothing wasted in this game .
Enjoy your weekend my friend
Always interesting stuff Martin.
Thanks Peter, glad uou liked my selection, all the best Martin 👍
Not a bad lot this month Martin!!! Very interested to see of you can do something with that heavy cab, cool piece. And I hope you find the trailer for that log truck near the end, it’s in great shape. Hope you get the phone squared away soon
Thanks John, yes the large truck cab ,would make a nice centre peice, I might have the trailer sorted ,witch is good news , hopefully get a new phone later in the week 😀
All the best Martin 👍
Martin you got some good stuff there always good to have plenty of spare’s in our hobby . Hope you get your phone sorted
You need to get a case for it 😂
Thanks David, yes I have become to realise the same thing ,plenty of spares .
All the best Martin 👍
SO sorry to hear about your phone woes! 😪 If you go with the same provider for a new phone, they SHOULD be able to recover anything - no, I take that back. It might be corrupted, the old phone. When I've seen them blinking like that at startup, it's usually something not good.
Loving the stuff you're getting! I would get more into chases like that, but I'm starting to think that I need to do more first-hand searching. The Interwebs aren't giving me what I'm looking for.
Cheers Martin, of to sort my phone hopefully today ,probably get a new one ,I agree you can't always get what you want of the Internet,.
All the best Martin 👍
@@martindaredare The same to you, sir!
Cool stuff Martin...I have that toboggen thing too ..love to no myself...
Cheers Brian, I will be doing some research on this one ,
All the best Martin 👍
G'day Martin still watching.
With your phone try and hold the power button for around 10 seconds. This should turn off your phone. Then press the power button again to turn it back on again. This may resolve your issue.
In the mean time I'll go back and watch the rest of your video
Cheers Michael, yep I tried that ,but nothing seems to work ,iam due a new phone ,so I have no choice now .
How about doing a scrap yard diorama with all your scrap car’s and van’s would look good 😊
Yes Anthony, that was something I was thinking about doing ,great minds .
All the best Martin 👍
The idea is I source things which I can't fix and I know you can! Keep watching my channel. A choice to heat or eat? In my case it's a case of heat or buy toys and send out parcels. Burongo? Burago! I only know toys. I don't know much else - smart phones no idea & marriage never happened so.......toys are me!
Thanks again miss k I shall keep watching your channel, I think its facanting with all the toys excellent, but you must look after yourself as well ,or we would have nothing to watch.
All the best Martin
Hi there Martin have a look at this site you may find a chassis to fit them lion DAF cabs here the site "Maguiremodels" . I do like that fuel tanker casting hope you can find a tractor unit for it and paint it up that look a nice model.
Ralph
Cheers Ralph, I will check it out ,thanks again and all the best Martin
Ask Black Square decals. They do any manner of custom bespoke deals. You just need to supply sizes & images. They may have them already for this
Yeah that's a good thought Ian, thanks for that 👍
@@martindaredare Very welcome
Hi Martin the 3 cabs and code 3 box van cab are made by lion car they are not white metal kits they are 2800 dafs ready made they can be made in tovery nice models using white metal accessories fuel tanks air tanks headboard mirrors rear lights wheel hubs teckno 1 50 tyres they do have interiors and windows when they've been beefed up they can hold there own with 1 50 white metal kits
Cheers nigal, iam very interested to know more about these ,would thay be in Google if I search.
Thanks for the great information its really appreciated my friend
Hi Martin you'll find lioncar models on ebay but used to buy mine from swop meets really cheap being a retired lorry driver I like a bargain they where always a cheap alternative to either teckno or John winnett or alan smith white metal truck kits but as I say when you add fifth wheels tanks tekno wheels and tyres they can look really good the 2800 cabs nearly always 38 ton artic units hope this helps pal
Thanks very much nigal, that's a great help
Hi Martin put you something in the post this morning hope you 👍 👍 👍
Thanks nigal, that's very kind of you my friend
The white metal kit is a Buick Roadmaster. Dinky did one. I have 2.
Thanks again for the information
Those three little white metal racers, have been cast from the Dinky Toys #35b Midget Racer.
Off course, I thought I'd seen them before somewhere
Got a phone sorted now ,thanks for your help 👍
It's a Corgi James Bond snow sled from either OHMS or a Specter one. If that help's Cheer's .
Cheers for that JV 👍
It may have already been answered - the green Corgi "sleigh"-like thingy is Corgi Juniors 52 Scooby Doo Mystery Ghost Chaser. It quite obviously misses the Scooby Doo :)
Cheers Adam ,thanks for the information my friend, someone did mention that so it's confirmed now ,thanks again 👍
12:00 looks like a Buick Roadmaster to me, 53 maybe or 54? the maker is most likely one of the many france-based small-scale modelers that pop up and vanish again a few years later.
the many loose truck houses seem to hint at someone trying to do a lot of conversions, but lacked tools and donator trucks maybe? before internet you needed to know people who knew what models to use, and what to cut away...
19:09 the crane looks a lot like 70's Märklin to me. could also be GAMA, they sometimes used tin details on diecast trucks.
22:20 looks like N-scale to me. these things are usually made of fine-cast tin, which weighs almost nothing. some company in switzerland NZG I think, specialized in little N-scale model kits, and there is also Marx Modellbau from Germany. but this one probably was distributed by Walthers, I seem to recall something from early 90's. (ordered a lot of stuff, but Walthers never delivered for unknown reasons. was the shop downtown not large enough?)
24:35 ah, the infamous Tyrrell centipede... this one looks overpainted. those are rare here, last I saw was incomplete and missing lots of paint.
26:00 this one is from a series of models from when Mattell resurrected the name Dinky from the grave. a few nice models were made, I think the castings later went to the yesteryears range. I remember this 57 chevy, a 68 mustang, a 69 camaro, ford cortina, and a few british vehicles. worth hunting down IMO, they made very nice models there.
29:55 if you want to give this one translights, try going for model kit's transparency sprue frames. you'd have to clean and polish those, but they might work. the only other solution I can think of is using a cheapo dollar-store (or is that shilling-store in the UK?) glass-fibre lamp. but I doubt that would look good.
once again a good handful of boxes making me feel like flea market. :)
have you seen the loose yellow beacon in the first box? I bet its fallen off somewhere, and they just put it in the box. :)
Thanks Lothar again for all the brilliant information, it's very useful, and very much appreciated 👍
Hi Lee again the corgi is a corgi bobslaugh
Cheers Lee, that's very helpful indeed 👍
Crescent Toys or D.C.M.T. Diecast Metal Toys. Learn something every day don't you? Charbens toys - the Old crocks series!
Thanks miss k you do learn something new ever day that's for shore especially from you because I know you have a lot of knowledge about old toys and maybe more 😉
Iam looking up things for you because you don't have your phone. Yes that is a Dinky 28p Crawford's Delivery Van. Made from 1935-39 with smooth hubs.
Cheers for that my friend
The white kit of an American car you did on your video from today is a buick sedan I think I could be wrong
Thanks Lee, I appreciate that ,now I can do a bit of research 😀
GOOD GOOD GOODIES
Thanks darling 😘
hi i think the skate thing is somthing to do with the magic roundabout progrrame ithink dougal or brian sat on it
Cheers Paul, but apparently it's scoby doos sledge, by corgi .
So now we both know what it is .
All the best Martin 👍
With the fre tender I am thinking a kind of green Goddess
Cheers Ian ,that's a possibility my friend 😀
what did you do with your phone, sit on it?anyway you've got a reasonable haul there.the motorbike at the end,if it is one, would be a Norton Interpol!Police spec Commando's were called Interpol's & most had a fairing plus panniers & a police phone at the rear.
Thanks Terry, no I was using it in the waiting run ,then when I came out it wasn't working so I haven't a clue .
Thanks for the information on the bike its much appreciated my friend
When you've got your phone working again I'll discuss a little horse trade with you as I've got the trailor for your logging truck
Cheers Michael, I would appreciate that my friend 👍
There is a bìscuit maker called Crawfords
Cheers Ian ,not sure weather it was a dinky issued item,
All the best Martin 👍
@@martindaredare No, I wouldn't swear to it either. Haven't checked Google yet. Van looks like a Fordson
13:00 You already have a Forge Furnace? or do you still need to make one? I am interested to see how you make your Forge Furnace if you have not made one yet. 25:40 Resin? (for the seat back).
Cheers Gary, no I still have to make set up for melting and casting ,it something I have wanted to try , but first I will start with the resin casting to get the feel of things ,I will do videos of my projects, at the moment it's finding the time ,
All the best Martin 👍
52c Scooby Doo bobsledge
Yes ,I just discovered that my friend this afternoon, thanks Brian.
If you cant get original decals for the fork lifts couldnt you make some from good quality decal printer paper ?
Thanks Vogon ,unfortunately I don't have the equipment to make my own decals at this time .
Thanks for watching its much appreciated my friend 😀
That Chinese 57 Chevy is crap. I would not give it space in my collection. Your wife sounds like a really nice lady. How can anyone do a translate conversion.. You did the Standard Vanguard mechanical.
Thanks miss k ,yes it looks like someone tried to make a start on the conversion by cutting the back window out thatsmy guess, yes the wife is great ,iam a lucky man
The A60 driving school car only has 12mm wheels. A grevious bone of contention with me. The chassis is too close to the ground
Thanks Ian, I thought it was worth a shot.
All the best Martin 👍
@martin dares dinky restorations. I'd often thought about getting both & swapping. Dont try with the driving school Beetle tho. Those wheels will look weird on an Austin Cambridge. Think the swivelling pins that the wheels are attached to are different
You have a nice haul there Martin , sorry about your phone too .
Thanks very much ,yes some good prices in this lot ,new phone sorted now .
All the best Martin 👍
