Hi Martin we loved this week the green tonka is our favourite. Not sure of the model but seen them on telly with wood effect on the sides. Maybe a sheet of wood pattern self adhesive vinyl put on. All the best from Ian b & the girls.

Regarding the Johnson Sweeper When I went out earlier today at the bus stop space was taken up by recovery vehicle recovering a road sweeper lorry . As I saw it the little kid inside me said ah a Johnson road sweeper

The gold / bronze pick up @14:02, is the base cast for the corgi hulk truck, jst needs the cage, hulk figure, and logo on the hood / bonnet.

A very decent haul this month mate, very nice models. Talking of 'Haul', how's this for a coincidence ? I used to work for that 'James Irlam & Sons' back in the early 90's, they were based in Chelford, Cheshire and I think they got bought out by Eddie Stobart if memory serves me. Great video mate.

Like it in the yellow which chubb painted for Saudi Arabia airfields. I worked on these until I was made redundant in 1985 I have 2 of these and I might repaint one yellow as I think it looks a better than the Red.

Its taken me many years to find one of these that I could afford. It did have some issues, like a missing pivot pin. I think the seller knew about its issues and took all the pics from above, so not to show how the tipper box was off line. If the pivot pin is missing, use a Rivet pin, I found one, that fitted just right. You could also use a split pin for the ram, I was surprised the original was done this way, I thought mine was bodged. I love the opening doors on this one, the Tekno version has a tilt cab, but does not have the door surrounds on the opening doors. Personally I prefer the Dinky version, but a tilt cab would have been nice too, as I love moving parts. This model is right up there with the very best ever made in my opinion, like the Corgi Simon Snorkel and The Dinky AEC single decker, with the dual opening doors (the engineering in those doors, is a thing of wonder in my opinion). All in all a great piece of kit, and I am chuffed to finally have one, it is a code 3 painted version, but it looks good in red and green. I am not a box collector, as I could not afford box prices, but as long as the working features are there, I am happy, it does not have to be perfect for my collection.

morning martin can i ask about the nail punches you said you cut a set down for your drill how do you use them I know its for the axels but how In a drill .
