Panhard 24 looks beautiful with the metallic blue 👍, also a nice job on the windscreen & the saving the headlights, Martin, I myself am a believer in Evapro Rust , I have been using it for years , Great stuff, again my friend beautiful restoration, you take care.👋😎🚐🚗🚛
Thanks very much Jeff, the evapo rust is hard to find in the UK, but iam glad I find it ,and iam well impressed.
All the best Martin
Great restoration Martin, the colour suits it well. The Windows have come out great, I wish I had your steady hand with the silver work.
Thanks very much, my friend. The hands aren't as steady as I get older, but I still enjoy doing it .
All the best Martin
Lovely restoration martin
Thanks nigel I appreciate it 👍
No hablo inglés, no entiendo nada de lo dices, pero me encanta verte trabajar. Hermoso trabajo. Saludos desde Buenos Aires Argentina.
Thanks very much, my friend. It's good to hear from you all the way over there
Hi, Martin! Lovely job on the Panhard. I loved the color you chose for the body. The red original interior works well with the Vauxhall Blue. Panhards had small engines. America did not embrace Panhard at all, but I feel the body shape and styles were quite unusual and attractive! Well done, Martin! Best, Stephen ❤
Thanks Stephen, yes the engine was a bit small, it has so many little designs all put together, in one package, apparently it has quite a following, all the best Martin
Nice job with that car!😮
Thanks Michael it's really appreciated my friend
Quite an understated design really.
Hi marty ,yes it was a strange looking car it's like the designer couldn't make his mind up witch way to go with it .
All the best Martin
Cracking job martin colour suits it mate well done 👍
Cheers luke 👍
Another superb result Martin. Your detail painting is exceptional and I like the colour you chose for it. I'm keeping an eye out for one of these but whenever I see one they're always so expensive.
Thanks Richard, thay don't come up very often and being a french dinky ,thay are a bit more expensive.
All the best Martin
These really look good with a silver or white roof also
Cheers Jimmy, yes I did look at Google images and so many different colours and 2 tones, some with extra chrome work .so much to choose from.
All the best Martin
Great job 👍🏻
Cheers Mark 🍻
Great job Martin ✌️😎
Cheers Don 🍻
Great result Martin. I know my cars and love them (as you know) but I've never seen a Panhard in my life. I love those big old Citroen DS cars that the French police used in all the 70s and 80s movies. The Panhard reminds me of them.
Cheers Glen, yes it does from the front look like the older Citroën.
Good video keep up with the great work.
Thanks very much Colin
Noice restore cheers Graham
Thanks very much Graham it's really appreciated my friend
Dang she's gorgeous Martin ❤😊
Thanks Shawn I appreciate it my friend
Hi mate, nice colour. It looks a bit like a Jag from the front and a interceptor from the back. I can't say I've seen one in real life but it looks like a nice car. We've had some rain over here and When I opened the shed I got a nasty surprise. There was water everywhere. It missed the MG thank goodness but there were puddles of water all over the floor. I discovered the gutter on the shed roof was full of dead leaves and the whole thing had overflowed and ran down the inside of the metal sheeting. I'm blowed if I know where the leaves come from there isn't a tree anywhere near it. It's a good thing it didn't go on the MG or I would have had a little red bathtub.😂😂🤣🤣Catch you on the next one mate.👍🏻
Hi Geoff, blimey you were lucky then ,that could have been nightmare, glad you got away with it.
Yes this car is funny style it looks like the designer couldn't make his mind up in witch direction to go .
All the best Martin
Very nice, stylish little thing..... I like it muchly! 👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻
A bit late, I know, but a little slice of electrical tape on the outside of the 'tub' might have closed the window space down a bit, maybe?
Excellent finish, guv'nor......
Thanks for the tip something to remember for the next time ,yes strange looking car .all the best Martin
Nice job Martin. Martin Dares Die Cast Restos on Location . Love it. 👍
Thanks Andy, gotta keep it going 👍
Somewhere in the sixtees Citroën took over the Panhard company. They had the big headlights, before the Citroën DS had them. A few years later, Panhard disappeared....
Thanks William for the information my friend its very helpful 👍
Hi Martin, that is really lovely. Super colour choice. To me the car has a slight Renaultish, (is that a word?) look about it. The Dinky Ford Corsair had sliding windows like that too. Anyway that's a really nice resto mate. All the best
Thanks Alan, yes it's a funny looking car you can look around it a spot different car designs within it.
All the best Martin
Nice finish. Shop near me does a good range of Hycotes. See so many with different car names but near identical colours
Thanks Ian, I might pop over and have a look because the range in corby doesn't restock very often.
@martindaredare check out Wilco. Tho on Newton Road Rushden, opposite Lidl, access is in nearby Park road. Seems to be a large selection of metallic colours some ordinary ones there. 150ml càns retail at £6. 400ml available in limited range but primers & lacquers abound
Like this car and colour choice was good. I am concerned though that Stanley is going to pass out if you don't open them biscuits pretty soon!
🤣🤣 Stanley loves ,his biscoffs.
All the best Martin
Oddly disproportionate, these Panhards: there was a plan to develop a four door, which would have looked better, but it was never done. The roof looked just a bit too high for the wheelbase for the two door, but you can see how the four door would have worked. Tiny engines in them: 850cc air-cooled twin. The range was eventually curtailed by Citroen's holding in the business. Shame really: quirky, innovative and a little bit mad!
Nasty surprise on the glued screen, I thought, leaving you stuck with the red interior, I guess. Perfect period metallic blue paint: a picture! The detailing is again a Masterclass in finding the right tools and plenty of patience. Lovely result, Martin.
Cheers fraser, yes it was a odd design a bit of a mash up of ideas, the front end with the lights looks good, and I like the design of the wraparound back lights split indicator at the top half brake lights bottom half .the window unit tested my restraint on trying to separate it but don't be bloody stupid your break it kept playing in my head ,so I left it .
All the best Martin 👍
lol is that your dog we can hear in the background? Another nice job, Nice colour!
Hi Mike yes probably I have 2 at the moment 😀, glad you liked it my friend
Diecast. Restoration. Dinky. Toys. Panhard. 24 no. /524. 1964. 1966.
Cheers Kenny my friend
Thought original colour was metallic gunmetal grey
Yes, Ian, it was sort of, but difficult to tell, especially when you are shade blind like me , 🤣 and it looked dull ,the blue lifts it a bit better in my opinion.
All the best Martin
Do agree. It did look good
I LIKE TO MEET YOU MARTIN DARES MATT
Maybe one day matt
Can't be doing with froggie dinky, not my scene at all.
🤣 I knew when I was doing it I said to myself Terry isn't going to be happy. All the best my friend
@@martindaredare Credit where its due, though, I do look to see how you're doing. Awaiting next week's resto.
A beautiful job Martin but where did you get that paint brush ?
Thanks Glyn, the paint brushes came from the art section in the range ,
Not expensive and pretty good quality 👌. All the best Martin
Nice job Martin cheers Michael
