Great way to get axle disassembled. Decals and paint on both look awesome! Details look great! Being a cattle guy, milk truck is my favorite of the two. Great video 😎🤠👍👍
Two more fantastic restorations Martin, I love Bedford trucks and vans. My dad had a big "S" type Bedford on our farm when I was a little lad. Super detailing again as always. Best wishes. Peter.
Wow! What sparkle you gave these two, Martin! They're both stunning, but I particularly love the milk truck! That blue and white combo is just stunning! Nice work!
Beautiful restorations as always Martin, I miss those older tankers, I have a couple with the later tractors, Bedford TK. Take care Martin and thank you for another nice video.
Cracking job martin i agree with what you say about the frog sensitive tape. nothing worse than spending a long time masking something up to fetch the paint off when you remove the tape pal
Very nice double restoration Martin, as you know I love the old Bedfords, the Mobilgas one is beautiful, but I think the milk tanker has to be my favourite, great work as always👌👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸
Hi Martin they were a surprise, i wasn't expecting these. Good old Olympic blue, its done a few model over the years. All the best from Ian b & family.
Completely on board with the hand-held casting whilst drilling, Martin: there is no substitute for feeling the drill. If it means no under-14s on the viewing list because of this and the caustic, it is just as well we're not all using bloody Zombie knives! I don't remember the 'Mobilgas' being blue lettering - I though it was black - but maybe there were two variants. Nicely done video, too - a bit of one then a bit of the other: makes the video entertaining and informative without running a boredom threshold on repetition. Very nice rescue on both toys, but I cannot wait for the Schoolroom Session on the missing cab pillars from the third tractor! Should I send you some new scissors? By the way, I might have a duff tin, but I cannot get on with the Humbrol 191 Silver: it just does not give the finish of my MiG Ammo Acrylic. Worth a try, though, and maybe a newer tin might be the answer, but I am having all sorts of trouble with the Somerset!
Hello Martin well you have done it again 2 fantastic restored jobs . I think they look better with the Bedford S type Cab then the Bedford TK Cab , it's funny corgi put a interior in the TK and not in the S type Cab. But 2 very nice trucks 👌👍stay safe my friend.
both looking nice and refreshing. :) at first I thought "what is this strange structure poking out from the blue rig's cabin?" later I realized it was the glass insert. XD one thing you could try with the wheels is to add pressure, then heat the wheel up with a lighter's flame for a second or two. it should give way a bit from it, then cools down again. might be easier on your puller tool. :P I'd have to test that myself, though, not gotten around getting anythign started yet. though there are some Dinky and Corgi and even one Märklin waiting for fresh paint sitting here. :)
Thanks, Lothar. You're right. I should have warmed them up first before the puller was used ,normally they come of OK, but these were tight on. Thanks very much for the tip
Wanted the Mobiegas one, with a TK cab,but I've settled for a Matchbox special, the tanker with a TK cab!My own magic, I used a cab from another Matchbox lorry mounted on a Thames Trader chassis from the horsebox.
Awesome stuff Martin, my mate at @copperheadkustoms just bought 1 of these trucks a real one last video. Have a great weekend coming, Martin 🍻 🇦🇺 🤝 🇬🇧 👍
Hi mate, what a transformation, great job. I like the blue colour it looks like MG iris blue, a bloke in the MG club painted an MGB with it. Amazing they used the same design for milk and petrol, I wonder if they used the real trucks like that? That little puller is a good bit of kit, just perfect for the job. Did you buy it or is it one of your inventions? Hopefully I'll be able to take the car out tomorrow, every time I set a day something bloomin comes up, but so far so good.🤣🤞🏻 Stay safe mate and I'll catch you on the next one.👍🏻
Cheers Geoff, the blue is very similar to the mg colour,,no I brought the puller from a company called Expo thay have some good tools and stuff for modelling.
Thanks for a fabulous video. The oil tanker was great, I think you were milking it with the other one! 😅 Looking forward to your window frame repair video. Did you use Metalcote for the bumpers?
Nice one Martin. That. Olympic blue goes well on so many Corgis. What red did you use for the gas tanker. Did both of these & sold them. Seeing these & I'm thinking I wanna have a 2nd crack

Hi Martin they were a surprise, i wasn't expecting these. Good old Olympic blue, its done a few model over the years. All the best from Ian b & family.
Thanks Ian, the famous blue ,it has to be the most popular colour 👌
All the best Martin

The TK was a later cab,and so has an interior. The S or Big Bedford eventually had an interior in the Classic's range!
Thanks very much Ralph, yes interior would have been nice ,as Terry said thay did it on later classic range .
All the best Martin

You should make one like a Super Collectible with Gem headlights and taillights, better wheels/tires, and find an interior for the cab.
That's a good idea 💡, I shall remember that .all the best Martin
Thanks for a fabulous video. The oil tanker was great, I think you were milking it with the other one! 😅
Looking forward to your window frame repair video.
Did you use Metalcote for the bumpers?
Thanks very much my friend, he's humbrol metal cotte aluminium, hopefully be doing the repair video shortly.
