Thank you so much straight to the point no BS I love this video didn't waste any of my time thanks again
Hey man great video thanks a lot very informative
awesome usefull info! thanks!
my 05 escape v-6 bucks runs rough and stalls at hiway speed. The red light comes on with the lock over engine symble showing.
At cold start it runs nearly normal until engine heats up and then the speed drops and I will have to change out of over drive to maintain 50-60
After running 60 for 5 minutes the engine shuts down`. After sitting 5 minutes it will start and repeat the events. From stop light nearly pulls off at a walking pace. One person suggested the catalytic may de clogged. any thoughts? Thanks
Thankyou
I think this helps. Even for motorcyles
Hi can having installed a in tank fuel pump with lower flow volume than stock also cause issues like long term fuel trims going lean??
It happened to my car! I have a VW jetta 2015 2.0. A week ago it started jerking while accelerating. I immediately went to change the fuel pump, but nothing changed! Then fuel filter, injectors, then car didn’t even start! I changed the coils and wires and it was good for two days then started jerking again. I changed the spark plugs and cleaned the Throttle body and it is good till now!
I have a 2011 corolla. No plugs, new air filter new oil. Was running great, then all of a sudden when i am at a stop light, with gear in drive car idle goes up and down. If i accelerate it works normally, and runs great. If i put it in neutral it will maintain idle decently and doesn’t rough idle as much. car has 180k.
Also no check engine light. Any ideas????
Tomorrow i am going to check the throttle body and clean it, and change out the fuel filter ( which i have no idea when it was changes out last. Can a bad fuel pump work at throttle, but then at weird at drive idle???
2014 ecape 2.0 ecoboost has new fuel inj new low presseser switch new plugs new timming chain head redone tow exhaust values new varaivle timming sensors new oil change new tran change new thottle body new air filter i think it mite be coils because i can unplug them one by one and the number 1 acts real weak does it have a fuel filter please help
i have Subaru 2017 outback. It jerks when at low speed, once at a high speed all good also functions well driven manual. Took it to dealer and they did all the maintenance needed where they cleaned and replaced stark plugs, throttle, air filters, oil, all of things. Once i git the car back it was good for a day and then the jerking started again. Took it dealers second time and did test drive and they said its the way i drive not the car, So started driving slowly but i don't think its me, i have been driving the same way since forever. Also mileage on the car is 95000, don't know if that plays a role. Thinking of getting a new car but don't really want to. Any advise will help. Thanks.
How would you know how much transmilipstick? there is if there is no dipstick?
Super helpful thank you
I am the owner of a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Minivan. I have noticed that when I slow down to a crawl, accelerate, or start from a stop, the transmission occasionally hesitates and jerks quite forcefully. The peculiar thing is that this issue occurs randomly in various driving conditions, and it does not trigger any error codes. Considering these circumstances, could it possibly be related to the torque converter?
Could it be the mounts lol
great video thank you
2014 ford fusion SE 1.5
1. Jerks when trying to accelerate at slow speeds
2. Has hard time going over slope super slow but engine sounds smooth
Like just doesnt react
3. If driving 70mph wont accelerate have to press pedal slightly but wont detect it until ive preesed for a while so it jumps from 2nd speed to over 3rd speed and engine will sound like full action super forsed
I have a 2017 dodge durango that jerks when I accelerate some times.i change the plugs and coil and it ran good for about 3 weeks and start jerking again. I change the mass airflow sensor and its still jerking.now am frustrated. The code said I am having 3 cilender miss fire 🔥.
I have a 2008 G6, after I jumped started a Ford pickup truck my car started jerking going up hill and at around 45mph??
Please help me I have a 03 mustang GT I’ve just replaced the fuel pump and transmission fluid when I let the car sit for a bit then u start it back up it accelerates fine but once I drive it for like 15 - 20 mins it starts to jerk and when I floor it it won’t go past 30 but when I slowly and steadily push in the gas it accelerates help me!
I have a 2006 dodge magnum 2.7l recently it started doing this an it started out feeling like it was from start at lower speeds but it progressed to random and cel came on three a p0700, transmission (ml) p0404,egr and a 2ndary p0526 I think that last one has to do with low voltage system. Next morning
I checked connectors after watching videos and got in it and the cel was off. I changed engine oil at shop had it was okay but I felt it still acting up on way home following day was a good day but today it did it again at a higher rate around 2.0 rpm previously it was doing it at like 1.5rpm but that’s when transmission suppose to change gears which has always been an issue and hits rather hard but if you pull off the accelerator it goes in smoothly
Can you elaborate I also noticed yesterday that my key turned an like ground out like previously when a shop blew up my engine it took 3 engines to get it right it now has a Chrysler 300 2008 2.7l but I had to get a key reprogrammed because shop said that fob was mid fuctioning but I had never had a problem with it until Chrysler engine was in I seen on nhtsda
that those cars had ignition issues and mine did right out the gate but yet the dodge magnum did not even though it was same engine
Ty for your video very informative but cel light still off
Great video. To the point. My 2016 KIA keeps jerking/studdering forward. I like to have an idea why before going to the mechanic.
My car been studded if forward too
My 2016 Kia started doing this too
@@youknowihadtodoittoem8235 I changed my map

Mine as well ,Kia sorento 2017 with 114000 miles.
My 2016 kia sorento also, what did the mechanic say or do? Did it help?
I have an 3 series e36 that does this, only in first gear though I’ve changed the trans fluid, I suspect it’s either an intake leak or a clogged fuel filter
It was an intake leak 🤙
@@jonahcass2793how did you discover that!
thanks! also your audio is way to low at full volume on pc and RUclips

Is there going to be a code to read if there is no check engine light? Because I thought there would only be a code if the check engine light is on.
How did you get this fixed. I’m facing same issue with my Toyota
@@ibrahimsalifu8458Sorry never fixed it, got rid of vehicle. May be related to the TCM module have that checked.
Cam shaft position sensor can cause the jerking issue when accelerating.
Thanks for the video. I have a 2017 Chevy Spark and my car starts jerking while on a highway when traffic is moving slow then picks up. Just yesterday traffic was normal speed then all of a sudden went to 40 to 50 miles per hour for about 5 minutes then back to normal speed then back down and while I’m going to the speed of traffic my check engine light came on and car was very jerky until the point were it stopped moving. When it did start back moving it jerked very slow until it finally picked up speed. What could possibly be my problem?
Sounds similar to my problems, but mine only goes to 40 and doesn’t downshift, and today I was going 20 and it jerked quite a bit. Scanner said it may be ECU ( engine control unit). At best it may be some wiring, at worst my transmission is probably starting to perish.
Ignition timing can also cause issues. I had an electrical short which reduced power going to the VVT solenoids. Caused timing issues.
says potential timing problems at the top of the video
My ford fiesta 1998 model 1.3 it's not accelerating what could be problem
Really like your video
But I have one issue maybe more
I don't know
When I give it gas it does good as long as I've got the power going up but once I get up to speed and try to level off that's when it starts jerking
Maybe think the overdrive was going in and out but that wasn't it
Bad gas I don't know
I'm old school if something back in the day with broke you knew what it was
Now it's like 30 thing between a and b
I know where some money thing
But anyway I can run wide open good
It's just when I try to level out and stay at a certain speed that's what it wants to jerk
I took it to three different places and it shows no codes at all the engine light's not even on
Why is it not showing a code I don't know that's my problem I don't want to fix something I don't need to fix I like to fix whatever it is
What is it that I can do if the no codes
Oh by the way I tried pulling a trailer I tried to put some strain on it to get the engine light to come on no luck
Why do you want to do that too much cuz it could be the transmission and I could be making it worse
Could you please respond and let me know what you think
2009 Dodge ram six cylinder
What if it happens and no codes but will happen with my left turn signal when I am turning?

Hi, My Honda Civic 2011 recently bought from previous owner, jerks while constant accelerator(pedal) around 35 km to 40 km and same happens if constance accelerator around 80km, If I give good padel and increase the speed from like 30km to 50km no jerking at 40km and same at 80km, it only jerks/vibrates when I had to drive on same speed of 40km or 80km or when slow accelerating. I have changed the AXLE, done the wheel alignment and balancing tyres are also new. Still the same issue and I can't find the permanent solution.
Did u fix the problem ? I have same problem I changed all of that
@@romofonseka5929I am planning to buy AXEL directly from Honda. Earlier I installed used ones.
did you fix the issue i have same for my civic 2009 i just notice when i put in drive mode and reach steady 50 my rpm goes up and down but when i give a pedal rpm rise but not so accurate, i notice when i put in D3 rpm seems stable but stille not satisfied with the pickup
Any solution to the problem yet?
In my case issue got fixed after I changed transmission oil.
i have a 2018 kia forte with a manual transmission. whenever im in the 2,500-4,000 rpm range and let off the gas in third gear it jerks quite a bit
Same issue here on a manual transmission
Got at 2012 nissan altima. Got a p0037 code. Car jerks when i accelerate
Did you try this and did it work
I have 2013 Cadillac XTS that does this. It drives fine and only stutters when cruising, and I lightly hit on the gas. The stutter goes away when I push harder on the gas or take my foot off the gas. My gas mileage is pretty horrible too. She has new spark plugs, a new air filter and mass airflow sensor, a new catalytic converter and two new O2 sensors in the front. The dealership did a fuel cleaning as well and I have cleaned my throttle body. I was having misfiring issues a few months ago and took it to Firestone and and they thought I had a bad fuel rail?! But they couldn’t replace that so they did a tune up. They put 41-988 spark plugs in and I googled those and everything said those only fit on the 2015 and up XTS. I called the Cadillac dealer and they said they would’ve put 41-109 plugs in. So I took my car back to Firestone and they swapped the plugs out. This is when I started to notice the stuttering. But on top of that I noticed that my throttle body housing was really dirty like maybe they dropped it when changing the plugs?! So I’m like it’s either they rushed and didn’t do a good job of putting the spark plugs in the second time or they messed up my throttle body sensor?! Plus I feel I could have like two bad fuel injectors. but every time I take it to the dealership, they can’t find nothing wrong with it. So I may take it back to Firestone to have them look at my spark plugs again to rule that out.
Hey did you ever figure out what happened with this situation? This exact shuttering is now happening to my 1997 Toyota Camry. Same thing, I just need to push a little harder or decelerate to get the shuttering to stop but I notice it around 45-60 mph
I need help - I have a Ford st 2016 my car starts to jerk on 120km - I did a full service and new spark plugs etc - I am really worried I don’t know why it’s doing it - please help -
If that’s the only time it does that you’re lucky lol. If no codes or leaks balance and rotate your tires or a Tcm sensor would be my guess. What was it?
I have a 1995 Chevy S10 with a vortex 4.3 motor I just had a brand new fuel pump put in it a brand new starter had the timing reset on it a brand new battery and alternator And brand new fuel filter we picked it up yesterday from the shop that did the work. he drove great on the way home and all through town and but I wanted to take it down a back road and get up to speed quick you know? And when I did a little past the 2RPM hand it started jumping up and down and the truck started sputtering but as long as I keep it at the 2RPM or under it and accelerate normally it pulls fine. do you have any idea Why its doing that? And the only codes that are popping up on this truck when I put a code tester it's saying the EGR Valve
Same here with my 03 Mazda b3000 it starts to jerk and drop rpm’s once I get to 3k it would jump up and down
And I’m getting the same code I replaced the egr valve and it didn’t fix it
My code is saying the EGR valve also @@dirtysplat1336
Same thing with my kia sedona but in my case its below 2k rpms over that it would be fine
06 Mustang GT doing the same with new plugs, and coils and it’s had a fuel treatment done recently
If there is no code?
My jerk occurs when im 40 or faster just had a rebuilt transmission installed so maybe that's the issue but i noticed when i used fuel injection cleaner liquid it started happening
I used a fuel system cleaner, car started jerking a week later 😂
Greetings to you. While pressing the car’s gas pedal, the engine spins more strongly than normal, with slow movement or acceleration of the car. What are the reasons please?
Did u find out?
That's your transmission slipping bro..
Mine is a Buick rainier 2004 no engine light displayed
It sounds rough in idle
Now when I 1st take off and reach 15 ish miles per hour it loses power… doesn’t shut off or backfire, after about 10-15 seconds it acts normal even after I make a complete stop it runs fine from there On out…. Till I turn it off and restart it but it doesn’t do it everytime
I was also told it’s running rich
I got a new air filter, fuel pump was changed a year ago and replaced the fuel filter, replaced power steering a year ago and replaced the warmer pump thermostat and clutch fan recently, replaced plugs and coils maf is only a year old and recently cleaned the throttle body
As well…. Any suggestions
How about the ECM?? Engine control module
That’s what mine has lmao and I’m broke as hell on top of that.
Can the car jerk if the gear box oil is not on the level
Yes
My car usually wont jerk until I reach around 100km does anyone know what that could be exactly ???
My 2003 Mazda b3000/ ranger whenever I step on the gas all the way it goes up to 3k rpm’s then it drops and jumps up and continues to do that it like it shoots power to the engine then cuts out constantly any one have any answers?
ECU bro, or check transmission fluid. My experience so far is that those might be the issues. Even a vacuum leak, a hose might be catching air into the engine.
I got a 2003 mustang GT and I have no codes
I have a century Nissan. It runs very very smoothl all of a sudden I’m getting the jerky X wanna try to accelerate there is no check engine light coming on at all and use it comes on even if the the pressure is low in my tire, and they’re all change on certain there’s no check engine light, although the car started jerking and and choppy
Having the same issue
Don't forget if you have no CEL it could be unsecured grounds
please elaborate. i am having this issue, no cel
@@mahalewellen4912 the wiring in the engine bay is attached to metal spots in the bay. If the car is bucking...run all the wiring. I have a mitsubishi 2004 galant that was handed down to me and is just constantly a problem, the only code showing right now is for the evaporative emission system leak which now is large but my car runs like shit ive changed the fuel pump put cleaner in and changed the filter but it still really struggles driving i can only get to about 60 65 and 2500 to 2800 rpm and if i try to go higher it just starts chugging and struggling
If you have EVAP codes and the engine runs badly check the Purge Valve it may be stuck open.
My car in winters usually jerks early morning but when I drive for 5-8 Kms it becomes smooth then doesn’t jerk through the day.
In summer it never jerks.
I noticed in automatic transmission when it shifts from its gear to second gear it jerks before 15 to 30kmph speed.
Dodge challenger v6, 3.5L
Any idea ?
I would recommend letting your car warm up longer in the winter, my truck does the same thing. I usually wait til the transmission temperature is past 80-85 to prevent it from shifting hard when I first move it.
P0174 code?
I'm having that problem but only after the car reaches operating temperature!!!... When it's cold theres no problem! Also, there's no engine light coming on (???). When accelerating, it will sporadically sputter and act like it's about to die, but then when I reach cruising speed and level off the acceleration, then it tends to sporadically lurch in speed then drop back to where it was. it's weird. ALSO, there's no problem at idle. When I stop at a light and it idles smooth. And none of this is steady or constant stuttering. It's all strictly sporadic. I put all new plugs and wires and replaced one bad coil 2 years ago. ('96 Toyota Avalon 6 cyl. Has three coil packs). I doubt those would be the problem after only 2 years replacing them and it driving perfectly up until now. I did go ahead recently and buy another new coil pack and then switched them around to see if there was any difference, But no change at all. Possibly an 02 sensor but someone told me that would not cause the problem I'm having. So, I don't know. Maybe the mass air flow sensor?? The key issue I see is that it only has problems when the engine is warmed up. THAT'S the thing that puzzles me. But I can't find any info that address that specific problem.
It is hard to say what the issue is, but I would test the throttle position sensor and clean the throttle body.
Car ran fine all summer it was hard on gas now when i try to drive it or start it i press on the gas the car cuts out? Cant get past 30mp now after changed the mass air flow sensor i also unplug it and it still run the same? Any advice please
Kinda like a hose its diffenity not getting enough gas or air feels like something is stopping air flow! If that helps lol
I got a P0150 code ("02 sensor malfunction on bank 2") and a P0153 code (“O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response on bank 2"). So, I'm fairly confident I've got a clogged or bad upstream 02 sensor on bank 2 that needs to be replaced. Fingers crossed. Fortunately it's the sensor at the front of the car so I can reach it easily.

2018 Sonata, 92k miles. - having to pussy foot my car around , (boyfriend replicated it the other day and will be bringing it in) .
Acceleration causes the car to go from 2-3k rpms and then around third gear it will just fall flattttt all the way under 1000 then it starts to stutter and pop until finally it catches and takes off. (Does it in any gear, manual mode) 150 miles currently in the tank.
