I am the TEDx speaker. I want to thank everyone who took the time to watch the TEDx talk, give it a "like," comment their support, and share it with a friend. I really appreciate it. I also have to thank the TEDx Columbus organization, my TEDx coach (Sarah Beadle), and my incredibly supportive parents. This talk would not be possible without these people. I genuinely believe bridge/gap years makes a large impact in the world. If you or someone you know, wants to learn more about gap years; please feel free to message me and I will provide the most information and help that I can.
Holding off on college made college that much more enjoyable for me. I needed time off to grow as a person and deal with trauma. I was afraid to step foot on a school campus because I had created a false belief that school was dangerous. I believed I was going to get bullied every day I went to school. 2 gap years healed some pretty deep psychological wounds. I was at a pretty low point in my life before those 2 gap years. Now I'm a completely different person. I made a complete 180°.
I met this guy while he was on his bridge year in New Zealand! he was spending his whole time getting drunk and trying to chat up girls 😂 the best kind of life experience
jack ward Always good to meet a fan. Although I disagree with you on how I spend my time, you are entitled to your wrong opinion! Hopefully our paths will cross again but until then you should stay out of my comments. Having internet trolls only makes me look more successful!
