Christine's humor " I had already been in the band as a lady.. "😅 she was so clever and funny naturally.. Fleetwood Mac is one of the classiest rock bands of all time. One of the best rock n roll bands of all time.😊 legendary. Nice to see the 3 lead singers and all 3 primary writers interviewed back in 1977, during their legendary meteoric rise while on tour for Rumours. Love seeing their sophistication here.

The rythm section - the drums and the bass - is also a significant part of what make Fleetwood Mac a great band. Two of my favorite examples would be 1) You make loving fun at 2:35 the little solo there and 2) Dreams which his guitar work evoked every bit as much of a haunted, longing feeling as Stevie's singing. Lindsey had a great finger-style technique similar to Mark Knoplers

@@joe1972 exactly right, very similar to mark knopflers style, I remember his old song called trouble, which was a pretty catchy song and smooth and crisp on the strings towards the end. John Mayer also has a good smooth style, check out his newer song wild blue on the new album, really good strumming at the end.

And Australia loved them. I recall that Australia really ‘got’ that particular type of American music of the 1970’s. We seemed to share a lifestyle that reflected in music by The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. They were very popular.

I was at a get together at someone's home and there was Stevie Nicks - so I went over introduced myself and said hello, we had a really lovely chat, she was really fun to talk with, smart, funny, charming and so beautiful in person. We talked for about 20 minutes, and were enjoying each others company, and then - her then-boyfriend showed up. A great memory.

Such different times. Kids grew up very resilient. Manners & kindness were important values. The teasing was relentless & often really funny. That was an era of a plethora of long lasting 4:38 bands bc we’d earned skills of compromise, diplomacy etc. Tough skin. Solo acts now. Very few bands. Certainly none the caliber of them. Everyone’s so touchy. Triggered. Self absorbed.
