Stevie was lucky that Christine was around, Stevie talks about how she was "protected " by the band in the early days. She was so young and vulnerable. Thankfully they all survived. Best band ever. I've been listening to Peter Green, and boy he was good too.
In one interview she said she felt bad for all the new girls starting as they are on their own with no one roo look out doe them. She was lucky to have Chris
She also said thar guys wouldn't take her seriously when she told them to knock it off, but they'd listen to Chris

It's clear she really looked up to Chris from the interviews I've seen and read. She seems to be struggling now
They hit it off at the beginning and were smart enough to recognize a good thing and not ruin it.
But I'm sure that they genuinely liked each other too.

For me, the difference in their personalities is perfectly laid out when Stevie is all cute playing with the stuffed rabbit and then Christine grabs it and tosses it aside. I bet they got along well because they were so different from one another.

Mr. Bhombastic Fucking Fantastic It wasn’t heroin, she was addicted to prescription drug Klonopin, which she said was much harder to quit than cocaine.
I think people talk about it because Stevie was always super open about it. She really wanted to make an impact on people who made the same mistakes she did. That’s why I love her!!

Oh dear. With Christine looking like she's WAY hungover and Stevie OFF her chops, it's amazing they ever got through this, let alone survived the 70's.......
Thankfully they both did and avoided the fate that many rockstars of that era fell victim too. Even in the state that they were during the filming of this promo, it was obvious that the two had a great deal of affection for each other and it shows......

+StevieandChristinefan As far as I have heard, they did get along well together and Chris was never jealous of Stevie when she joined the band and sort of took her place as the main female. Probably because they kept to their attitude of everyone keeping equal billing and Chris never really liked the spotlight and was happy someone took it over. As for the supposed animosity, I think Lindsey was a big contributor to that, but either way, no matter what happened, the band still was professional and still works together to this day.
+StevieandChristinefan I read a recentish interview with Stevie where she said that LB was NOT happy Christine was coming back to do shows with Fleetwood Mac after being gone for so long. Stevie said she didn't know why he felt that way, but that wasn't her attitude and she was glad they would all be performing together again. She never trashed him but I liked the way she said she disagreed with him. Stevie does give great interviews.

+Basileus84 +Basileus84 Christine was not a true addict like Stevie was but she definitely did lots of cocaine and weed and drank liberal quantities of alcohol. She stopped everything when she recorded her solo album in Switzerland in 1983, and she's been sober ever since.

There's like 20 years of comments on this video... never stops giving. I watch this every few months just because I love the band and like seeing a bit of fun without the heavy drama. I've never heard anyone ever suggest Chris and Stevie do an album together w/o Lindsey. Is that heresy? Maybe. Love to see one more FM album to wrap it up. The story isn't quite over... I hope.
