Hi NX, what a wonderful surprise seeing one of your technical reviews on IGN. Not sure if this no means that you will no longer be doing these on your own channel? Anyway, no matter where, I am happy to follow your reviews to whichever channel they are on as they are excellent quality.
Fallout 4 is incredible on the new hardware, it shrinks load times just from the power of the SSD and the un-optimised mess off a game now doesn’t run at less than 15 frames in the streets of Boston, which is a very pleasant thing for all players who enjoy fallout 4 (I have it on PC as well but it honestly runs better on my series X mainly due to the issues had with running past 60 frames).
Days Gone plays super well. Loved going back to it on New Game Plus after putting it away a few months after it's initial launch. Also Ghost Recon on Performance mode is fantastic as well.
One ive not seen anyone talk about yet is planetside 2 on ps5. That game struggled to run anywhere near 30fps on ps4 and now runs at a LOCKED 60fps on ps5. And thats without any developer input at all, just naturally runs at a stable 60 now. The next gen systems are honestly pretty amazing
Honestly Final Fantasy XV should be there. 60FPS steady, great loading times and with all the Royal content, is a must but for everyone who passed on the vanilla version. And is also on PS Plus Collection, perfect to start gaming on a PS5.
The game that I've noticed has the most significant improvements on new consoles would definitely be No Man's Sky. The difference is pretty unbelievable, total night and day
It is amazing how the gaming news media has completely removed Borderlands 3 from their minds. FPS and graphics massively improved but most of all the adaptive triggers make the PS5 version the absolute definitive one of the game!
To get the benefits of hire frame rate and crisper graphics do you have to have these Xbox series X games on the internal hard drive or can they be on an external hard drive?
I've played Days Gone & Tshushima on the PS5 hands looks way better. Tsushima is breath taking in terms of the graphical difference. I can't wait for the years to come for developers to get used to the new consoles and produce true native 4k & 60fps with way better textures.
