I’ve only played Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 but when I went over my girlfriends house and played it at 30fps on the base ps4 I couldn’t believe how good we have it now lol
I think a lot of people are not getting the point. These games are made for the ps4 and he is just making a vid on which games he thought has a difference when playing on a ps5.It is a ps4 game running on a ps5.
Bloodborne (first and foremost), Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, The Witcher 3, GTA V, Control and Red Dead Redemption 2 desperately need a 4K 60fps patch. I believe GTA V and The Witcher 3 have already been confirmed for 2021 and I do hope the others will get the same treatment as well. Also, I want Jedi Fallen Order as much upgraded as humanly possible!
God of War got an unexpected 4K 60fps update on the PS5 after this video came out! Also my contribution would definitely be Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. 60fps is so important in a stealth shooter, and it feels like an entirely different game!

I got ShadowFall on release day with the Ps4 and have been wondering how it holds up these days but never got around to actually trying it. I am very impressed with how good it still looks!
I played until dawn recently on ps5 and... WOW! A. It was my first time actually playing it instead of watching friends play here and there B. Loved the game C. Loved the graphics and D. It was sooo smooth.
You should try the two Dark Pictures Anthology games Man of Medan and Little Hope. Same devs, not as good as Until Dawn because it had a massive budget but still worth playing

Maaaan I've played nothing but the switch for the last 3 years and honestly.... I had to slow down your video to half speed to see the differences in frame rate. Once I did that for a bit, I can now see it at full speed.
I absolutely love my PS5 it's so great, only thing are the limited storage. I have put an external drive on but looking forward to the M.2 upgradable drives coming.
Yes that's one thing that annoys me. Not enough storage! Either that or the games take up way to much storage themselves. Call of Duty Cold War took over 100GB alone. wtf?!?

@@xDeadEye1 Sekiro and Demon's Souls are very different.. they have in common only difficulty, checkpoint mechanics and content quality level.. Many people who liked Sekiro don't like Souls series and I loved Souls series and Sekiro not that much because rpg mechanics is lacking.. Sekiro = Action Adventure, Soulsborne = Action RPG
Unity was impressive for me back then , the crowd system , the immerssion , the happenings , crowd talk, the sights , environnement. I never used F.Tin this one .. i walked everywhere , I was impressed by it.
Same here. I was really impressed by it back then. I just wished it ran better back when I played it. I had really slow internet back then and I remember having to download the update and having it finish about the same time I made it to the end of the game haha

When I play ac unity on my PS5, It obstinately tries to update the game. My auto update option is disabled. I delete the update every time it adds but it appears again just after I unpause the game.

I have impressed by the following: Red Faction Guerrilla, Earth Defense Force (4 and the one that runs on UE4), Disaster Report, Spiderman (with RT) all run at a solid 60 FPS. PS5 is awesome
This is exactly why pc gamers have been telling you to play on pc for years. But as a multi platform gamer in so glad 60fps seems to be the standard now.

Not to mention the SSD load times for well-optimized games are often like 10-15 seconds max. There's something about video game loading screens that seem to make time dilate and a 60-secind loading screen feels five times as long lol.
Another good upgraded game for the ps5 you should revisit is jedi fallen order, it now has a higher resolution and in my experience, usually has a stable 60 fps
So far I’ve played FFXV, Jedi: Fallen Order, and Ghost of Tsushima with 60 FPS on my PS5... it’s amazing & I can’t believe it made such a huge difference

How do you keep the update from downloading for Ac unity whenever I load up the game the update automatically starts and if i pause it it resumes and when I delete the update from by downloads it begins to re download?
Actually it depends. Frame rate will still be 60fps no matter what HD tv it is. The difference will be in graphics or resolution I should say. I'm assuming your normal HD tv can output in 1080p, which if it is the case then I think some of these games will look even better on a normal HD tv. Killzone Shadow Fall right now can only output in 1080p, 60fps. So on a 4K HD tv that image wouldn't look very sharp, however on a normal HD TV it would look really good because that's the highest resolution it can go to. Good rule of thumb right now is, if the game can only do 1080p, 60fps on PS5 then it will look really good on a normal hd tv. It might even look better than on a 4K tv. Hope that helps.

Just today I found out that GTA V on next-gen consoles is going to be "more than just a port," according to R*. They plan to add content (again) for the next-gen version. It's crazy to think that it released back on the PS3. Released on PS3 release, got an update update added content (including CATS) for PS4, and now it's getting another update for PS5. That game has been chugging along for QUITE a long time when you think about it. I'm also stoked to play Nier: Automata on PS5. And dude, you're 100% RIGHT about FFXV. I absolutely love that game. I ended up putting 210 hours into it, getting the platinum, and I've completed ALMOST 100% of everything. I actually think it's a superior game to FF7R, overall. FF7R has better graphics, of course, and better story/character writing by far, but it's so disappointing how the game ends up feeling so incredibly railroaded. Square didn't even try to hide how linear it is. I hated how I constantly felt like I was fighting the game for control, and worst of all, the game is literally 50% gameplay and 50% cutscenes. Ugh.

Remember being in High School, coming home from school on the bus and playing FFX on my fat PS2 all night. Didn't even do my homework either lol

Tried the Tomb Raider game yesterday but didnt notice any higher framerate.I havent activated performance mode as I thought that was only for playing in120hz with games that supports this? Have I missed the point with performance mode on the PS5? :/
Yes, you have to play it in performance mode. The performance mode in Tomb Raider isn't for 120fps. It's only for 60fps. There's only two games right now I know that supports 120fps, and that's Call of Duty Cold War and Devil May Cry 5 special edition.
Frame rate is king. I put my PS5 in Performance Mode by default and never looked back. 60 FPS needs to be the new standard. I’m not buying any games that don’t offer it. I just can’t go back 🙃
@@SuperJumpReviews Yeah. That's because 30 fps literally doubles the time it takes for your actions to appear on screen. It's awful for high-action games.
Make sure the console isn't connected to the internet or else it'll download the latest update. If you play the game with the latest update it will be in 30fps. If you play with no update, it'll be in 60fps. Good luck👍
@@Skippy2wise I doubt it. It's a pretty old game and I don't think ubisoft is gonna spend the resource releasing a patch for it. I mean, the game isn't too expensive on disc nowadays.

I cant wait to play red dead online, and replay the witcher 3 and ac unity on the ps5. Also i feel kinda lucky for never having played most of the games that released from 2018 onwards, because now i will be able to play them in 4k, something my base ps4 does not do
Yeah, I had the same issue. I missed out on a lot of the ps4 games cause I was playing on the vita but now when I think about, it's probably best I missed out on them cause now I can play them at 60fps. Something that wasn't possible when the games were released.
Do I need a 4K tv/monitor to experience the best graphics? The monitor I have atm makes ps4 games look normal and how they should, will it be the same for my ps5? Bc I’m not keen to buy a new monitor
Unfortunately you really do. 1080p monitors will still look good for now but going forward a lot of PS5 games will start pumping out 4k visuals. Some of the recent PS4 games just got patched to hit 4k as well, like Ghost of Tsushima, and Days Gone. Nioh 1 and Nioh are also about to get 4k patches in a few months.
Sorry if this is a stupid question or not but do the games have to be installed directly onto the ps5 to see this sort of performance or can they be on an external hard drive too
Not a stupid question at all. You're not the first to ask that. And no, they do not need to be installed directly on the harddrive. Games still get the added performance boost when played on an external drive👍

Put the disc in and update the game to whatever the latest update is. There's one exception though. For Assassin's Creed Unity, DO NOT update the game. That game only runs better without any updates.

They haven't got patches yet, but I can tell you from experience they do have much better locked frame rates. I'm playing FF7 remake on PS5 and I haven't seen it drop a single frame, even during heavy action scenes. It looks beautiful.

I used PSX Download Helper to download AC Unity V1.00 on my PS4 Pro and then moved it to my PS5 Digital. Just have to remember to not let the update finish. Plan on testing God of War next.

Another game is Nier: Automata. It runs in a consistent 60fps, compared to ps4 pro run which runs in 45-60fps.
If only they had bumped the resolution to 4K it would be PERFECT!

Not to mention the SSD load times for well-optimized games are often like 10-15 seconds max. There's something about video game loading screens that seem to make time dilate and a 60-secind loading screen feels five times as long lol.
Final Fantasy 15 is absolutely worth a playthrough, so underrated.
Definitely worth a play through. That game doesn't get enough credit. I mean, it's not perfect but it's a lot better than recent FF offerings.

Another good upgraded game for the ps5 you should revisit is jedi fallen order, it now has a higher resolution and in my experience, usually has a stable 60 fps

How do you keep the update from downloading for Ac unity whenever I load up the game the update automatically starts and if i pause it it resumes and when I delete the update from by downloads it begins to re download?

Actually it depends. Frame rate will still be 60fps no matter what HD tv it is. The difference will be in graphics or resolution I should say. I'm assuming your normal HD tv can output in 1080p, which if it is the case then I think some of these games will look even better on a normal HD tv. Killzone Shadow Fall right now can only output in 1080p, 60fps. So on a 4K HD tv that image wouldn't look very sharp, however on a normal HD TV it would look really good because that's the highest resolution it can go to. Good rule of thumb right now is, if the game can only do 1080p, 60fps on PS5 then it will look really good on a normal hd tv. It might even look better than on a 4K tv. Hope that helps.

Just today I found out that GTA V on next-gen consoles is going to be "more than just a port," according to R*. They plan to add content (again) for the next-gen version.
It's crazy to think that it released back on the PS3. Released on PS3 release, got an update update added content (including CATS) for PS4, and now it's getting another update for PS5. That game has been chugging along for QUITE a long time when you think about it.
I'm also stoked to play Nier: Automata on PS5.
And dude, you're 100% RIGHT about FFXV. I absolutely love that game. I ended up putting 210 hours into it, getting the platinum, and I've completed ALMOST 100% of everything. I actually think it's a superior game to FF7R, overall. FF7R has better graphics, of course, and better story/character writing by far, but it's so disappointing how the game ends up feeling so incredibly railroaded. Square didn't even try to hide how linear it is. I hated how I constantly felt like I was fighting the game for control, and worst of all, the game is literally 50% gameplay and 50% cutscenes. Ugh.
I held off on FF7R because I'm waiting for the next gen patch on ps5 in june. I'll let you know how I like it😁

Tried the Tomb Raider game yesterday but didnt notice any higher framerate.I havent activated performance mode as I thought that was only for playing in120hz with games that supports this?

Yes, you have to play it in performance mode. The performance mode in Tomb Raider isn't for 120fps. It's only for 60fps. There's only two games right now I know that supports 120fps, and that's Call of Duty Cold War and Devil May Cry 5 special edition.

Frame rate is king. I put my PS5 in Performance Mode by default and never looked back. 60 FPS needs to be the new standard. I’m not buying any games that don’t offer it. I just can’t go back 🙃

Make sure the console isn't connected to the internet or else it'll download the latest update. If you play the game with the latest update it will be in 30fps. If you play with no update, it'll be in 60fps. Good luck👍

Yeah, I had the same issue. I missed out on a lot of the ps4 games cause I was playing on the vita but now when I think about, it's probably best I missed out on them cause now I can play them at 60fps. Something that wasn't possible when the games were released.
Yea it's still don't be 4k but does a smart upscaling as it was on PS4 pro so the only thing we get is better FPS! But it's a good boost! :d
Red Dead Online kinda sucks on the PS5, sorry to break it to you. 30fps with poor motion blur and no noticeable resolution upgrade....

Unfortunately you really do. 1080p monitors will still look good for now but going forward a lot of PS5 games will start pumping out 4k visuals. Some of the recent PS4 games just got patched to hit 4k as well, like Ghost of Tsushima, and Days Gone. Nioh 1 and Nioh are also about to get 4k patches in a few months.

You should also try Medievil. That game now runs silky smooth at 60fps.

nah, it wasn't locked at 60. The pro still had trouble with that game.
When you want to play games like re2 remake on ps5 do you have to turn off hdr and such. Or will the game just recognize your settings and adjust?

Put the disc in and update the game to whatever the latest update is. There's one exception though. For Assassin's Creed Unity, DO NOT update the game. That game only runs better without any updates.
big thing with God of War... if you have physical copy install but do not update. You get a 2160 at 60fps in resolution mode

I’m still surprised TLOU2, FF7 Remake and God of War haven’t had proper PS5 support yet.
I'm pretty sure they hard at work on a patch right now as we speak.
They haven't got patches yet, but I can tell you from experience they do have much better locked frame rates. I'm playing FF7 remake on PS5 and I haven't seen it drop a single frame, even during heavy action scenes. It looks beautiful.

Yes, just put the ps4 god of war disc into the PS5 and download the new update. Now you can play in 4K 60fps! It's a lot better then before.

I used PSX Download Helper to download AC Unity V1.00 on my PS4 Pro and then moved it to my PS5 Digital. Just have to remember to not let the update finish. Plan on testing God of War next.

It’s such a shame AC Unity‘s launch was so rough. I really liked the direction the franchise was headed in back then. I haven’t loved an AC game since Unity.

You can get 4k and 60fps in God of War if you have the disk version. Just only have the 1.0 version of the game.
